Im a Navajo Indian. My Grandpa was a traditional Medicine Men and he tought us how to use sage properly. All always use the direction when you do your blessings. When u light up the sage point the sage towards the east cuz thats where the sun comes up and thats where a new day begins than to the south, to the west and north. Always do it clock wise. Also when you do your prayers do it before the sun rise, the sun is a messenger. The sun while tell the higher being to bless you. I see alot of people with sage at there homes and they don't know how to use. Oh, use the ashes from the sage to protect you too. Take the ashes, put a dot of ashes on ur forehead and the bottom of your feet. That will protect you from bad spirits and Nightmares.

Before attempting to enact the rite of a Sage Smudge Ceremony, firstly, you should pray over the sage plant and give thanks to God for it's creation and sacrifice so that the soul reservoir of this plant is properly honored.
Next, you should take a moment to pray and center your own heart, mind and emotions upon God by whatever the name or no name, but this is very essential to a successful purging of negative energies within our own auric field and/or within your home.

I fully believe in sage. I had someone come into my home and bring negative energy. I did this to my home, myself, and my kids and it felt so different. Now I’m about to do it again because I been having weird things going on. I also make sure my home is physically clean. So I will do it right after I clean my home, make the beds, etc.
I knew you was a Leo for some reason I felt it. But I cleansed my house today. I brought the sage a few days ago and I will not allow anybody in my home who I think is evil.

Thank you so much for your very helpful information. Being from the Caribbean, and of African heritage cleansing is very common. Living America and moving from apartment to apartment I use this knowledge to cleanse each time I moved into somewhere new. Sage is very therapeutic and smells great, I repeat the 23 Psalm.

One tip to add: I was told by a medium to use sage to clear my house BUT also replace that energy with something healing like Frankincense, lavender, etc. You can do this with incense, an essential oil diffuser, or spray bottle with drops of the oil & water I believe.

Nice video. I have been doing this for years now. Sage grows very easy. I have it at the front of my house and by my back porch
I suggest you grow your own. It is a very easy plant to grow. Planters are great if you have no room. They grow like crazy can go without water if you forget. Very easy to grow.

I don't have faith in any particular religion, nor am I very spiritual, but burning white sage has definitely made an impact on my mood overall. I'm a natural skeptic so this could just be a placebo effect, but regardless I love it. The smell is amazing too.

I've been to multiple sweats and deep native ceremonies of course bc I am Native American you should refer to the cleanse as "smudging"! Great video though! Naturally finding sage by thyself makes the feeling greater! The smell trumps incents by far to me! Watching you makes me want to do it now :)

The only thing I didn’t do was use the bowl. I had to break out the sage stick today. Today some mean ass looking cop was parked right outside my house, even though his issue was about 6 doors down. Cop looked pissed that he couldn't hunt down anyone today when he drove off...Then I walked into the house and saw that my mother called, so I knew I needed to do a good sage cleaning to get the negative energy to go away. Certainly took it as a sign that I needed to sage. When two negatives pop up in one day, it's best to do some type of cleaning. On a more positive note, I have one amazing kitty on my lap that's licking my hands and biting my rings...and that is nothing but pure positive energy. Thank goodness for cats. Love them to pieces.

Like ur video. Im in a house with a lot of people with different vibes. I sage every few weeks and it always has us getting along. I give good vibes in my mind as I do each room depending on what the room is used for. I have also found that that u can go to a craft store and find both a seashell and fine craft sand to extinquish when done. I like to know that other people do this and benefit from it

My mother is Indian she smudges her house twice a month. The way she does it is she opened every window and every door in the house. She waves the sage smoke towards the window and the door to the outside. She asked if they are any spirits to leave.

I usually just do this for negative energy bad people leave in my life. This time I used it to remove my Ex- Girlfriends negative energy. I started crying almost right away, I've never cried doing this and we have been broken up for a couple of months... :( it was really painful do to but I know it was needed.. Thanks for your advice !

Not bad but there’s also Mohawk Silver sage, Red Desert sage used by a lot of Navajo, Blue River sage uses by a lot of Cherokee and others. Abalone shells aren’t heat proof either. Eventually, they will burn the hell out of your hand if your holding it. The shell will also have holes burned through and/or something shatter in time. Not trying to be negative or dog you at all. It’s a great video. Everyone, Native and non-Native people should smudge everyday or at least every other day. As for smudging the home: be careful because you might trap whatever negative energy/spirit/entity. You should ALWAYS do all archways (doors, windows and entranceways) closets, under the bed, ALL MIRRORS, basement and attics. If you’re going to smudge a home, do it fully. Can’t go halfway or you’re just stirring the pot of negativity and upsetting things you might be able to handle. Be safe. You can’t punch a spirit or energy

You can also smudge with palo Santo. So glad to see this video. White sage and Palo Santo are also good if get headaches. I did not know all the places you could smudge. I do this in the morning and before bed.
