I grew up in the Pacific NW and in grade school we were taught many of the legends and ways of the local Native America tribes. After watching this video, I sent the link to my neice who's mom passed recently after a long illness. I suggested to her that she smudge the house before she moves in to rid the negative energies she feels in it. Hoping it helps her!
My usual MO is to tell all negative energies are NOT welcome in our home or around our family. To leave through the one open window now and to move on. That our home and family are protected. That only love and light and helpful energies are welcome. We also use a song bowl on a daily basis. I am the only one in the family that dose these as the kids are a bit young and my husband is a very negative person.
every time I smudge my house I open all my windows in my house I say as I'm smudging only love light and positivity may reside here all negative energy must leave now in the name of god and love I smudge the bedrooms and any dark spaces the most don't forget your cupboards and closets don't let negative energy a place to hide 💗💗💗💗💗
I am aslo a beginner and have wanted to smudge my home for 20 yrs. I have four kids wth my husband and I've always felt a heaviness here. As my children have gotten older more and more anxiety and depression have affected them all including myself. My youngest son is 17 and has struggled his entire life with ADHD, impulsive disorder and recently we believe we finally found out he isn't Bipolar but BPD. Which makes more sense and why we have continued to research and become educated. He struggles with anger and rage with overwhelming feelings of dread and negativity. A lot has happened in our family over 20 yrs that I believe the residual negativity is trapped and affecting us all. Its so tense you could cut it with a knife. And don't get me wrong we are there for each other, suppotive and do have laughs. But it feels like we can't as a family ever all just be happy so to speak. Thank you for posting these videos because I want have the best outcome I can so doing it right is so comforting. I look forward to watching more of them.

I have smudged my home a few times. I feel better after smudging. I have never thought about smudging myself nor my feather before watching your video. I like to smudge my home before I have guest come. I want my home to feel warm and welcoming. I really want people to feel that they are loved, cared about, and safe. I have used just sage so far. I will try cedar, soon. I have a few cedar trees in my yard. I am enjoying learning from you. An old dog can learn new tricks. Thank you.
Ty so much , this video has definitely enlightened me. Today i smudge and focus on being respectful to the negative spirit my son in law has brought to my home the last 4 years , i will be in their bedroom they lived in , i will smudge for my daughter that she finds her strength and wisdom against the evil she left with. I will pour my heart and soul into this as with every passing week she is gone my heart i breaking. I will open every cupboard he opened, every door he touched. His evil has no place in my home anymor so i will pray for the evil spirit to leave and that the love i have for myself and the other family members is so strong that its time for it to go. I have faith that the higher power i believe in will hear me as my love of myself and 5 grown kids and 3 grands is stronger in my soul that the evil that has come.
Oh my goodness!!!! When you were saying what you were greatful for and what to ssay when cleansing our home a white little orb went right across in front of you and your feather and then just Disappeared!!! It came through as soon as you said go to your Creator

Been being haunted for about more than half a decade by a random ass demon who I do not know. It just knows I'm a medium and it has attached itself to me and currently haunts me. Will be smudging my house soon, thank you!! (I have researched everything, tested for schizophrenia, seeing disorders or illnesses, I am completely healthy. I have seen it's face and despise it. All things aside, thank you so much for this)

I haven't felt this broken, depressed, lonely, guilty, devasted, or angry in all my 34 years on this miserable earth. But I'm almost relieved for him since I know he's been in pain for a while. I just want to know if this is something I can smudge for. I'm Algonquin Ojibwe and not once have I smudged my house but not once have I ever felt like this. I'm heartbroken.

I smuged our apartment when we had a stuck spirit. She wasn't happy and moved the tooth brushes in the bathroom I had to reenact it!band got the same sound We got some help from mediums to help move her on. Energy is much better and I use sage alot now 😍🙏

Then open windows, doors and put out whatever is burning closing the scared space. I’m curious if you or anyone else noticed the small floating object that crosses the screen from the upper left corner to the bottom right? It’s a small white streak that appears in Step #5 at about the 8minute mark. My rational side says it could simply be a small particle of dust or a recording glitch. I’m more inclined to think it is a spiritual anomaly of some sort. I’d love it if would share your thoughts.

I just started my journey into sage smudging due to countless nightmares and me and my husband had been getting sick on and off for over 2 months also just started my crystal healing journey as well hoping this is will help rid the negative energy around us and the home

Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I’m new to this and would like to incorporate routines such as this into my lifestyle. My question to you or anyone who might know the answer. Do I need to be of indigenous descent to perform smudging? I ask because I do not want to disrespect the culture in any way.

@@MalloryRoseCo I smudged yesterday and it couldn't have gone better, I think. Literally cleared an ugly odor from my new place. Helped me connect with the energy, which is neutral to good to begin with. Will smudge quarterly at the very least, and with more and more confidence. Your advice made a world of difference! 💛

Eu defumei a casa que estou morando atualmente com Sálvia Branca e, depois disso, eu passei por um lugar que eu não estava conseguindo passar de forma tranquila. Acredito que havia alguma energia bloqueando aquele lugar. Estou defumando a casa semanalmente aos domingos. Hoje, por ser Dia de Reis, eu fiz uma defumação especial!!! Interesting tutorial on Smudging. I did this once, but I had no idea what I was doing, just trying to cleanse the house at the time.
Cleansing is still is a good reason to smudge. But there are a lot more benefits you get from smudging. 😁 Thanks for watching!

I’m curious if you or anyone else noticed the small floating object that crosses the screen from the upper left corner to the bottom right? It’s a small white streak that appears in Step #5 at about the 8minute mark. My rational side says it could simply be a small particle of dust or a recording glitch. I’m more inclined to think it is a spiritual anomaly of some sort. I’d love it if would share your thoughts.

This is great video. I'm moving into a new place this week and this was helpful cos my sister is more knowledgeable than I am in these things, but she's not around to help right now. Down here in southern Africa we use khoegoed/impepho more than sage stuff.
