In this video I hope to outline the baseline understanding of intent and how to apply it in it’s most basic form to simple spellwork - there are quite a few layers of how it works and as with anything this is going to be vastly different for every practitioner. I hope to cover some more of its complexities in some videos to follow so let me know what questions you have and I’ll try my best to answer them here or in a future video! Thank you so much and I hope you enjoy!

Hello I'm sorry to bother you but I was wondering if there was any way I could reach out to you? I keep getting pulled back to your channel for some reason and I'm a beginner witch. I really need some guidance and tips. If you are okay with that I'll give you my email. I don't want to seem creepy I'm just really struggling.

@@aprillxve6068 It's not true that u will end up in hell..do u understand what witchcraft means. In old days practitioner of naturopathy were known as witches because as she said. They work with tools and those tools are herbs, intentions, visualisation,feelings..except herbs if u just keep intention, visualisation, feelings u know what it's called Reki.. means projections energy and all of it together is a pure science of crafting something but a very old science.. hence it's called witchcraft
So now a question for you.. their are modern scientists as well.. do u think they all will go to hell because they practice the knowledge that they have gained over years?
Now in brief I will give u ur answer in her words.. going to hell or heaven depends upon ur intentions, visualisation of ur goal and ur feelings towards that endeavour.. for that thy actions will be one to decide which way thy ends.. heaven or hell 🙏

Hallo, I practice 3-4 years and now I see spells need time to come true. I got disappointed as results were delaying for some spells I had performed. But then, after some time, I saw spells did work and what I had asked, happened...

I remember as a child, when I would blow out the candles on my birthday cake, I would think of what my wish was, then inhale deeply and as I blew out the candles, I believed I was blowing life into the wish. I didn't start practicing my craft until well into my 30s, after both of my parents past away. When I would read about 'setting my intent' for a spell, it just seemed a natural reaction to 'blow life into it', just as I did as a child. Now that I think about it- my birthday wishes almost always came true! Though I never did find a unicorn in the forest behind my house, guess it was just too muggy for such an ethereal creature in the pine forests of Florida, lol. I love your videos and the way you explain things on such an easily understandable level. Keep up the amazing work- but remember, you and your mental and physical health must come first! ~Jenn

      Agree!
To me it seems that song, dance, a walk in nature, and speaking out my spells all kind of go together.
There's something magical about passionate intentions that are vocalized towards a specific thing.
I think this is why we can more easily hurt someone with our flippant words than anything else. it's that sharp intense poignant jab that does the most harm (or good if you're able to pull it off!).
Perhaps it's because we all know the meaning and "spirit" behind such words and actions; and so does the one saying (doing) the thing... it's literally "magic in action".
Apologies don't cancel spells, nor curses, so be careful what you say and think, especially those we repeat with emotional charge.
It appears the Universe takes all things as matter- of- fact and simply puts them into action; black, white, good, bad, negative, positive... it's all the same process behind the curtain, because it's all about the emotion.
I'm sure if there were a great single point that started our universal cosmic clock, it was emotionally charged and exceeded anything before it and after!

Thank you SO MUCH for this. I'm new to all of this at the tender age of 48! I have just come to the realization that witchcraft and all things witchy, might be for me. I stumbled into the TH-cam-Verse a few months ago and found you and absolutely love your teachings. I struggle with READING the tons and tons of books out there (reading puts me to sleep instantly and I don't retain shit) And I've seen video after video talking about adding your intent...and I get the gist but you made it make sense. So thank you! 😊

This is such a nice explanation of what intention is meant to do and feel like, however I think there are many many forms that intent can manifest itself in. My personal manifestation is a physical sensation, like shivers of cold, that run through my body and into my hands. Visualization, though often talked about, I think is the most difficult way to work with intent. Many people, even visual-minded folks like artists and the like, have a hard time visualizing an abstract concept to go along with the 'light' or whatever visual they choose as their intention. I think sometimes people are so focused on visualizing the visual portion of their intent that their actual intent gets lost. Writing or speaking is definitely the most beginner friendly, or even finding a song that fits the emotion. Anyway, for those of you who are just beginning, your preferred manifestation of intention will present itself the more comfortable you get with your craft and there's nothing saying you have to change what works for you, even if you still with the thing you first learned.

  • @artoflaser

Whenever I'm doing work to help focus my intent I create music playlist to listen to while I work and it's my favorite method alongside visualization.

  • @jacquelinebennett
    @jacquelinebennett 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I’m a visual person so I always imagine my intent as a clump of earth and as it build in my heart it sprouts and green lush vines work their way from my core and down my arms and reaches out and wraps around my target and then flourishes into a beautiful wonderful other worldly flower and then releases from me and continues to exist on whatever I was focusing my intent on.

Something that's helped me so much is realizing I don't need to think the intention, I can just feel it. Lots of people have said things about how to word your intent making sure it sounds like it's already in the works. This confused me and got me hung up on simple spells. Instead I don't visualize my intent, I feel it. I let the energy I want to fulfill take over my body and infuse my ingredients. Works so much better for me :)

the way I set intention is by kinda showing the spell what I want it to do; so instead of visualizing energy I visualize the outcome I would like to get. like I made a spell for good luck on my exams so I visualized taking it, what my professors could say, and what the mark could be in as much details as possible. it might be the wrong way of doing it but it worked for me so far

  • @denniswade4998
    @denniswade4998 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

Thank you for this video! There is a lot of good advice and insight here.
I really like your thoughts on talking out your intention while doing a spell.
I do it a lot also, and find it a tremendous aid'
I started doing Qi Gong as a way of learning to raise and move energy throughout my body.
The simple movements combined with breathing and visualizing the energy moving has helped me to learn so much how energy works
and how to relax and allow yourself to "sense" the flow of it.
But my biggest revelation came when i realized one day that the energy was moving because I had "intended" it to move!
I remember reading somewhere that emotion is simply energy in motion: E-motion!
Most of the time it is not our intention that is moving our energy , but simply our emotions.
And since we are not always in control of our emotions, the energy moves and manifests in a lot of unwanted ways.
But with intention, we direct our energy and our emotions toward a chosen result. . . . et voila! . . . - magick!
However, I have also begun to understand that most of us don't really have a clear picture of what our intention really is.
We think we want one thing when we really want something completely different.
And so it becomes very necessary to establish a clear picture of our intentions and why we want what we do.
It amazes me how the simple acts of engaging in magick leads us naturally into self-inspection and self-understanding!

  • @Megan.eco-Instinct
    @Megan.eco-Instinct 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

Visualization is everything for me. I have always seen my energy and magick in color. So I do visualize beautiful swirls of color coming up from the earth into my body working it's way to my hands and fingertips. Even which colors I see have meaning in how they correlate to my intention. By the time I am well into the spells ingredients and workings, I can sense and visualize that strong color energy in my hands and fingers. I see it moving even while placing it into spell ingredients. For example the bay leaf (I work with that a great deal) I just touch my finger to the leaf and I can see that color moving through the veins of the leaf. When I see and feel that item filled with the energy I've manifested, I move onto the next item. It's an extraordinary sensation - emotionally, visually, all of it. If for some reason the energy doesn't feel like it's moving in me or I just cannot see the colors, I do set it aside for a bit and maybe meditate or just calm myself because that is my sign that I haven't worked on bringing the intention up and out. I love this part of my craft. It makes me feel strong, present, and genuinely in tune with the energy in and around me. Lovely video m'dear and describing or teaching how to find and effectively work with your intention is not easy :) you did really well with it.

I was just making a point to feel my intention. Iv always felt and said that intention is the most important. Iv found myself and others feeling inferior because they don’t have the flashy things…but I truly believe with a few tools and LOTS of heart and soul..it’ll be done.

I wanted to thank you. I've recently found your channel and watched several of you witchcraft 101 videos and I realized I was hyper focusing on very small parts of the craft without really trying to integrate it into my life. So once again thank you.

This video is so inspiring! The music, the visuals, and of course, the message. I usually multitask while listening to TH-cam videos, but this one really drew me in and I found myself really focused on what you were saying and able to imagine the ways in which I'd like to be more clear in my intentions. I've been going through some big life transitions and scrambling for answers and essentially not trusting myself. It's been all fear and stress. This video let me step out of it and start to dream up what I really want again. Thank you!

Thank you so much for including non-visualizing options. My wife has aphantasia and finding mediation and intention resources that don't fully rely on visualization is difficult.

It's so lovely that you show the world that there are so many ways to create a practice... and how there are many more ways to work than what the mainstream shows. I think it's so very helpful to those who are curious but cannot connect to the style of a more "gothic" practice.. so to speak. Naturally, each to their own... and that's really the best gift you give to the community... making daily practice personal. Thank you for giving us an intimate peak into your work. You are such a beautiful soul... inside and out~

The subject of intention stuck a chord with me. I've just started watching different vlogs like yours from several different women of the craft. I'm very new to pagan teachings but I have noticed that a lot of what's being said by everyone is also taught t in Buddhism. I've been practicing Buddhism for 6 years now. The Idea of setting an intention sounds very similar to what one does in certain types of Meditation. For instance, there's the practice of Lovingkindness Meditation, the idea is to cultivate warm-hearted friendly feelings toward ourselves first and then to all those around us, even those we don't really like. this helps reduce our anger, jealousy, and ego. It's like setting an intention in our minds to spread lovingkindness to all beings. Through the mental energy produced with various types of meditation, it can be a tool that helps us cultivate the good human qualities we already possess within us and little by little lessens our own suffering and the suffering of others. Especially at this time of year, I have been focusing on practicing the Buddhist concept of healthy mindfulness of death, our own, and the death of those who have passed on and those who will die. If we want to die well it's important to live well and prepare for our departure long before it happens. All of life is impermanent and follows the wheel of birth, life, death, and rebirth which is the point of this exercise and the reduction of our own ego. The fact that the veil between the world of the dead and the living is at its thinnest we can celebrate those who have passed on and remember that like them this life one day will no longer be. I visited the cemetery the other day to really get the feeling of this season of letting go of all those things that no longer serve us any good and embracing new positive energy as we move closer to the new year.
    May all beings be well.
    May all beings be happy.
    May all beings be peaceful.
    Blessed Be.
    We are one!

The clear way you approach this topic really pleases me. It's truly a topic about which little is communicated in our circles, especially in public. - - - And by the way: while watching and letting my thoughts fly their own ways, the brilliant idea flew into my mind how to restart my channel: thanx for that, you're a blessed transformer/catalyst :-)

My preferred method is meditative practice. I use a piece of software called Soundself: A Technodelic as a meditative focus in Virtual Reality, and then I project my intent by vocalizing the primordial Ohm, visualizing, and feeling the stirring of emotion in my heart. Spellwork in a superconscious state is sublime. Much love.

Thank you so much for addressing that not everyone can visualize. I have aphantasia, the word visualize has been thrown around forever because yes it does help. But it’s been expressed as the only way, and in guided meditation videos it asks you to visualize and I just never could. I’ve been trying for so long to visualize in the way I could which was very splotchy and I didn’t connect with it. I felt like I was never going to achieve my goals because I was fundamentally lacking that tool. This certainly helped me to understand that there are other ways and the point of witchcraft is to connect with it in the way that is best for you.

I feel like most places (and people) tells me that visualisation is the same as intent and there is no other way to use intent than visualisation, that the other methods are just bonuses you can spice up with, besides visualisation. It makes it really inaccessible when you think visualisation is something you have to do no matter what. But as you explain, that is not true.

Intention is the intersection of focus, inspiration, and empathy. Magic is very much about connection and community-- being in tune with life. There's a symphony around you at all times, and while you cannot contradict it, at the right moment you may elevate a particular melody through use of your instrument.

Great video! I see in my own craft that simple small spells work best for me, as I can really put the right energy/intention into it, just a visualization already does wonders. So indeed, without fancy tools you can already accomplish a lot :)

Very much. Yesterday, during that amazing blood super flower moon, I did a coming of age ritual for someone at a thirteen-year milestone. I only said "Hail and Welcome" at three of the four quarters lol but it was an amazing ritual full of meaning and joy nonetheless that I will always look back on with total joy! Blessed be!

This was a great video! You are so right…we see a lot of “intent” the word and the necessity of it when spell working..but not a lot of explanation and instruction on what intent means and looks like. Thanks for this 💗I love the idea of singing over a spell…I’ve not ever done that but it intrigues me. 😊~Krislynner

I cant tell you haw amazing your videos are for me.
With the some recent events rocking my life to its core I have begun to question my beliefs. At the moment I am unsure of where my feelings lay and I sought out this channel to begin learning new things. I am new to the study of spirituality let alone witchcraft. I was brought up my whole life to fear magic and those who practiced it but the draw was ever present. Your explanation of intent and energies makes me feel less scared. Moreover it is starting to make far too much sense to me.
Growing up I always had good health. I could recover fast and even relieve others pain quite easily. I just thought is was some weird quirk or just coincidence but the more I learn about spellcraft the more I feel like I had been subconsciously using intent to heal and repell sickness.
I would like to hope I have a gift that spellcraft can expand upon becasue someone I love is very very sick. I know I cant save them from what is to come but I want to make their pain lesser if I can. Your channel gives me hope that I can, at least, try to do something for them. I know nothing of healing magics however.
On top of that I had always heard that witches were very LGBTQ+ friendly. As a trans woman, I want very much to embrace my feminine elements and I feel witchcraft can assist with that. I treasure any place where I can be free to be myself and just do my own thing. I was not disappointed. You have an amazingly friendly vibe about your channel. You make me feel safe exploring my femininity through spirituality which I was too scared to do for the longest time.
I have subscribed to your channel. I look forward to watching your videos and learning more about this amazing practice.
