I got my hands on 2 new great stomp boxes called The Very Thing & The Marvellous Engine made by Snake Oil Fine Instruments. I loved the tones I got out of these & ran them thru both passive & active pickups so you can hear the differences. Many thanks to Rob Chapman for sending the pedals my way!

distortion pedals are cool for little excerpts . Gus makes anything sound great . these pedals are cool for what they are .

Who the fuck thinks the tone is bad????? Considering it's being ran through a 5 watt amp I'd say it's pretty goddamn good! And flawless playing as always from the G!

I really love Gus G. I didn't like him that much with Ozzy but when I saw his Two other bands and I bought 2 of his instruction videos I came to better understand him.. He's a great all around guy..

Actually it sounded like a boss metal zone on bad settings..on your guitar it was far better.

Which pedal? The Very Thing sounds like a modded Marshall on a clean signal; for boosting a crunchy signal it’s nothing a tube screamer can’t do.
It all started with the clean sound. It was terrible before the pedal was on. It's has to be his recording setup, none of that equipment sounds THAT bad. Why did Gus up load this?
the pedal sounds great, but i wish you would also show the room sound more, in my opinion the room sound sounds way better =) Love your playing Gus \M/

I'm interested in the, "Marvelous," but all the reviews and demos I've watched, it has horrid hiss and noise (when you're not playing)! :( Was it really noisy to you??

Να προτείνω κάτι; Εφόσον ο Gus G έχει μεγάλη αγάπη για τις γάτες, θα ήταν καλή ιδέα να δημιουργήσει ένα Wah πεντάλι που να μιμείται το νιαούρισμα γάτας; Το σκέφτηκα για πλάκα, αλλά μετά το φαντάστηκα και δεν μου φάνηκε κακό! 😉

I hated it. Very digital oversaturated tone.
not convinced at all by any of these 2 pedals. The real question is whether Gus added any of the 2 in his rig. I don't think so.. So, if your intention, Gus, was to help your friend Chapman sell his products, then I am sorry to say: man, you missed the target despite your talent and professionalism. And last but not least, I find it a bit strange that this Chapman guy who has a nasty reputation in the business can be your "friend". If it is just a friendly business partnership then, I understand; if it means true friendship then you are likely to be disappointed by the guy.
