With a brand name like Snake Oil, you missed a trick. You should have included one pot or switch that did absolutely nothing (is disconnected from the circuit) and label it “Woo”.

Give us death metal, heavy blues, and 80s glam pedals in the Snake Oil line.
These are cool sounding pedals but not ~$200 cool(unless there is something on the inside of these we're missing). If you're a big fan of Chapman guitars and such, you'll probably love these but I'm not feeling it. We are in such a golden age of pedals that you must build something that REALLY sticks out sonically & features exceptional build quality to stand out from the masses of builders. Companies like Spaceman, Chase Bliss, Strymon & my favorite UK builder, Magnetic Effects, are the benchmark IMO.
I hope you have some U.S. dealers lined up! Cool stuff

I wish all these marshall pedals came with a 'I'm using a middy amp' switch, they all seem to boost the mids to make a fender sound like a marshall but for those who use amps with plenty of mids in our clean sound such as Marshall, voxes, hiwatt etc it'd be nice to not just get a nasally honk. Newer wampler deluxe additions allow this with a 3 band EQ which is great.

@@justingarcia7722 Well seems like the market is all biased towards clean Fender platforms, 90% of pedals I've seen are like this, any suggestions to MIAB that are versatile enough to work well with multiple platforms.
JimijaymesGuitarist Friedman, JHS, Wampler, ThorpyFx, Timmy (no mid hump), Hotcake (no mid hump), Greer lightspeed (no mid hump), an attenuator so you can crank your Marshall amp. Check out ThatPedalShow too
@@justingarcia7722 Hotcake and Timmy are great pedals, not a modded plexi in a box though, I can crank my amp but I use the clean channel as a clean channel. Wampler finally have added 3 band EQ to most of their pedals so I'm with you on that. Friedman great features and the BE Deluxe definitely can work with anything. Thanks for your response, i totally hear your point there are tricked out pedals that work with amps that aren't fender, I just wish more pedals had a voicing switch or something, rather than just having to buy the high end almost preamp like pedals.
JimijaymesGuitarist I think less people use Marshall’s that way and more so people with hot rod deluxe so the market will tilt in that way, I know personally I just use a KOT in front of my Marshall or an EP booster
Snake Oil should collaborate with Phil X and resurrect the Evil Robot Amp and call it the Robotic Snake.
what we have here are two different distortion/boost/overdrive/ type of pedals that each have a distinct sound and will complement each other when run together. Between Rob and the Builder they nailed a great sound (the Captain too). Good job boys....you should be proud of that.
