OMG!! I haven't heard Juan Gabriel for such a long time! I discovered his music in the late 80s when I was in Oaxaca, Mexico for a few months meeting the family of a guywith whom I was deeply in love! We were too young!! I did become pretty fluent! Anyway...l learned a lot of Spanish by watching cartoons with the little brother and listening to Juan Gabriel and other amazing Mexican singers. BTW, not all Rs are rolled (especially when I say them. 😂) The title is "Eternal Love"

This man was an absolute gem not only to Mexico but to the music industry. PERIOD! This ballad was so well written and heartfelt that I don’t think anyone can sing without getting emotional, I can’t even listening to it without sobbing uncontrollably. Also in reference of his wrist mannerisms in an interview where they were trying pry it out of him, he simply in Juan Gabriel fashion with a “we do not ask what we already know”. He knew about her, he knew her whereabouts, she knew his, but never did anything to get him back. He met her again in life once he he had already acquired his fame. He wrote the song after his passing in one of the lines is saying I knew I could have done more for you. He gives her grace and understanding that she did not have an easy life. It's more of a ballad of reconciliation and forgiveness. It is one of the most famous and listen to songs in all of Latin america. It is listened to in every Latin American country. Specifically when there are funerals, wakes, Day of the Dead in Mexico.
