    For the cream of mushroom ramen, I think you are supposed to half the water as required on the package. It is delicious and soooo creamy.

    Tina, you forgot to sauté minced garlic with the butter before adding the cream to your alfredo sauce. That might be why it was a bit lackluster with flavor. I'm going to try this recipe, it looks amazing.

    If you ever have trouble opening a jar, flip the jar so the lid is against the table and use an unsharpened knife (or something long and flat) and try inserting it between the lid and the jar. Releasing the air inside the jar will make it easier to open it! 😊 always works for me and I don’t have to ask my husband to open it lol

    • @InvisibleRen
      @InvisibleRen ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Or buy a jar opener 😂 I have carpal tunnel and a jar opener was the first assistive device I ever got.

    • @daisywu5114
      @daisywu5114 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      You can also use something heavy to smack around the edge of the lid to break the seal. The easiest way for me though is to break the seal by flipping the jar upside down and getting all the sauce to the top (the side with the lid) and then giving the bottom of the jar a good couple smacks with the palm of your hand. When there's a loud popping sound you know the seal is broken 👍

    I discovered that noodles taste awesome if you cook some soup and then boil the noodles in it. Plus, eggs are a must (I generally crack an egg open after the noodles are cooked, right before I take it off the heat - the yolk stays runny and it's absolutely delicious with the soup). I also love to add a little bit of butter on top, once it's off the heat - so the cold butter melts a little as you eat it. And, add cheese if you have it. Game changer with the butter and the soup. The soup makes it really filling too, so that's awesome.

    I think the problem with the fruit roll up ice cream is because they Australian version is different from the American/Canadian version, I did it with lemon skyr popsicles and it was really good! I think they're thinner here

    • @chandrasunny
      @chandrasunny ปีที่แล้ว +29

      I think the Australian version also has some fruit in it where as the USA ones have no fruit at all. The addition of the fruit prevents the candy from hardening enough to crack when bitten... at least that's my theory.

    I have two kitchen tools I'm thinking of that can be useful! For cheese grating (and this is totally dependent if you have a kitchen aid or not), you can get a cheese grating attachment set for it and it does all the grating for you. It's super quick and there's no worries of slicing fingers 🙈 and the other, for the jar, you can get little lid silicone grips that make opening those super tough jars easy to open. My kitchen wouldn't be complete without it 😅

    I always open stubborn jars with pair of kitchen gloves. They just create this perfect grip. Another advice is to flip the jar so the top is on the bottom, then softly hit it on a kitchen counter, softly but with enough force. After few hits it usually opens. Just make sure to hit it on a flat surface and on a flat lid angle

    If you have trouble open any glass jar, flip it upside down, hit the bottom 1-2 times, flip it back right side open and you should be able to open it. The reason is to release the air from the jar coz it was air tight.
    The other is to put a wooden spoon over the pot so it boils, it doesn't overflow

    Hey, I think there was way too much water. I've tried this recipe a lot of times and it's my favorite! Definitely a game changer if you like creamy soups/ pasta. And you can definitely taste the mushroom. It would have been better with less water. :)

    A tip for the jar situation at 9:34 -- use a rubber band (NOT a hair tie, a legitimate rubber band) around the flat outer edge of the lid and the try opening it, I use it on occasion. Another is running the lid under hot water for a few seconds (haven't tried that one) to get it open.
    I saw both tips online, and the rubber band trick has helped me out on numerous occasions, and I even surprised my dad with that as he had never seen that trick before and was shocked. Hopefully these may help anyone else out who sees this :)

    FYI, it coagulated like that bcuz you added it to hot liquid, if you want to give it another shot just whisk it into the water & seasonings before you turn the burner on. Also, with the hack you’re supposed to use only 1/2 the normal amount of water. I tried it a couple months ago and really liked it! I didn’t use an egg tho (I only saw the original TikTok before he added the egg, lol), but I’ll def try that next time.
    **edit… poor Zen 😢 I swear *every* time I grate cheese I end up grating one of my fingers! 😅 also, the pasta recipe actually called for a big spoon of minced garlic in the Alfredo, plus seasonings of your choice in the red sauce (I used a ton of garlic, onion powder, red pepper flakes & Italian seasoning), it was absolutely delish when I made it. I’d def give it another shot if I was you 😉

    Hi for the pasta dish, do some parmesan Béchamel (make a "roux" with flour and butter, then add some milk whisking vigorously 'til is thicken up) instead of the parmesan cream. It will be more creamier ;) Do not forget fresh garlic ;)
