@Bezos-cp9gk Oh, shut up. Proselytising is so 19th Century! It's probably a combination of multiple things. 1) Naturally aspirated Porsche engines have basically ZERO torque. The 4L flat 6 makes 331 lb-ft of wheel torque at a peak of 6750RPM. This means you need to wring their necks out to get any performance, but it also means you can apply full throttle all the time and almost NEVER break the rear tires loose. For comparison, the C8 Z06 engine makes more than 400lb-ft at the rear wheels from 3500RPM ALL the way up to 7500RPM. And so the Z06 requires a much more precise right foot. 2) The GT3RS is rear-engined, but the GT4RS is mid-engined. Better weight distribution also equals being able to go full throttle more easily. 3) This has even MORE downforce than the GT4 does - which ALSO means you can go wide open any time you want without breaking traction. 4) Full gas pedal =/= physically wide open throttle body, depending on the mapping of the engine. You could be foot to the floor but the mapping might be set to 90% max open. 5) Porsche factory racing drivers - Jorg Bergmeister (the one who drove this particular lap), Kevin Estre, and others - have a well-deserved reputation for going literally 110% on the track, all the time. If you look at the 919 Evo video, it's the same there too. So this lap doesn't surprise me in the least.
@@Siatkowkarzadzi It's not literally 0 torque, 331 is still a lot to a layman, but for a performance car, this figure is quite low for peak torque. I basically get the same from my decade and a half old stock mustang, and with the downforce, suspension, and weight distribution of the gt4rs, that torque really isnt gonna give u any trouble except on the launch, and even then its very negligible. There is basically zero torque, because its not something youre having to tip toe around when driving it.

By the minimum corner speeds it looked a lot faster than 7m03. Is so much time lost on the straights?
