Hey guys, in the 90s my parents decided to get into emu farming here in Australia. We started of with 16 adult birds, 8 pairs. They all went in a 5 acre paddock. We had large round bales of hay, 2 at each spot, with the edge of 2 bales touching to give a triangle area, windbreak to lay eggs. We collect eggs everyday and incubated. We ended up with 100 birds after 2 years.
Exciting one is sitting on them….hopefully you get at least one baby Emu! ❤ I am sorry people feel the need to attack you…it’s so unnecessary. Thank you for sharing your beautiful birds with us. ☺️
I've been here since before you hatched out Bamboo. I'm so looking forward to more Emu in the future on your farm. I know you will have success! Give them time ❤
What a shame no baby emus this time but I am very positive there is success in the future, thank you for everything you do and share with us, love all your videos.
It’s an undesirable result, but it’s an excellent learning experience for you and your kids. If everything right happens, you’ll never know how to act when something goes wrong. Count these experiences as blessings. You will soon prosper and it will be that much greater!
Happy Birthday Isiah. Wow it's 4 years already since you were born. I have been along time watching you and your family. You are a blessed little boy. I will continue in my own way asking the universe to continue its blessings upon you and your family in these troubled times.
I have been anxiously awaiting this video. Sorry that they were all empty but thank you for sharing. Emus freak me out but I feel like I've learned a lot about them. Also I'm glad I'm not the only one who opens up the unhatched eggs indoors.
I have a family member who has emo eggs and they told me that the first couple off eggs would proply not be fertilized but after 1-2 years they odds get better hoping for next year!🥰
I strongly suspect the 2 eggs that had a small bit of blood and a little mass in them were fertile, but like you said the cold may have gotten them before they could develop further. Maybe thats why Peekaboo was breaking them earlier, trying to reclaim nutrients since she knew they died? Just based on how the other 2 eggs, one being rotten and the other pure yellow yolk. If that was the case then high hopes on the eggs Bert is trying to incubate and the others you picked up outside are fertile! Also cross fingers for switching the males.
Happy belated Birthday Isaiah! I can't believe how quick time has passed & the kids are growing up, it seems like only yesterday you were doing hatching videos and then Bamboo came along. You'll work it out with the Emu's now you know they are breeding. I can imagine getting big projects done on the farm over the winter months is somewhat challenging, along with the delay we're still experiencing in supply for materials holding things up. It's your farm, we're just here for the ride 😊
that is the problem. Emus are no pets, and when they are, you see, what happens. Bamboo is only interested in human and not in female Emus. That is, why the eggs stay infertile...
I love your channel. You do an amazing job with your animals. Don't mind the negative comments, as you know there are negative critics everywhere. Keep up the great work. You guys will be blessed with baby emus really soon.
I can't believe Isaiah is already 4 years old. Where does the time go... I do wish some of the first set of emu eggs had been viable. At least you'd know the adults were actually doing their jobs. 😆 But it's not over yet. I've got my fingers crossed. 🤞
Thank you so much for sharing your journey with all of us. I think it's a beautiful thing that you post the triumphs AND fai...*ahem* learning moments. I often read through a lot of the comments. I imagine it must feel amazing for you (as a family) to touch so many people in such a positive way. I'm looking forward to continued content, but... THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME!!! 😂😂😂
These folks are nice enough to share parts of there lives with us and teach me so much so please if you have anything negative to say keep it to yourself God bless us all 😇🙏🏻
I have been following you guys for years and have watched each and every video. Looking at Isaiah turn 4 makes me feel a little old, haha. Your videos always give me a lot of positivity and always put a smile on my face. It feels like a family. Your filming skills are excellent, and the background music makes it 100 times better. Belated happy birthday, Isaiah.
Keep in mind it is their first year of breeding. I wouldn't expect too much for the first year. You'll probably have much better luck next year though, so keep your spirits up!
😢I'm so sorry that there wasn't any Emu babie, but I'm sure that it will happen. Hang in there White House On The Hill ❤🙏❤With all the love comes from that farm, yuuup, it's gonna happen....Take care Happy 4th B🎉rthday Little man!!💙💙💙💙
Life is one big learning experience, and I believe that one day you will have fertilized eggs that hatch from your emus. Till then its all trial and error and learning one day at a time. Keep up the good work and sending my best wishes to your family.
You so don’t have to put up with the snarky people, report them and block them. It’s that old saying “ if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all” . Good luck with the breeding of the Emus🤞🙋🏼♀️
I agree why watch the video & then pop a stinky comment, those people are probably failing in their own lives & its coming from jealousy that someone's out there doing their best & learning as they are doing something for the first time & being transparent as to it worked or not & then think out of the box as how they can make it better & succeed next time. These stupid commenters probably have never done anything on this scale at all. Their parents never taught them any manners or they never heard of the saying, if you don't have anything good to say keep your mouth shut.
The eggs not being viable may be why the emus were ignoring them before and starting to break them. Sometimes animals just know if something's wrong and decide not to invest time in it. So sorry, and best of luck on the next batch. It's definitely encouraging that they're being cared for.
Animals can sense these kinda things. Just a natural circle of life but yet still beautiful to watch. Truly hope you get more babies in the near future. 🥰🥰

They’re old enough to read and write and the parents should never have to tell them to say thank you!!!!!! Your children are so very well behaved and well mannered, and so very helpful on your farm. They are so smart about everything you guys do from hatching the eggs and birthing the animals; to milking the cows, and helping you guys with the building of new buildings, and even with concrete structure. I’m telling you, my father had a business for concrete and it’s hard work. Your older son did a MARVELOUS job❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ The list goes on and on, but they are definitely amazing. It was nice to see the wonderful Pea Fowl building and run that you all had a part in making. 😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❣️🌈👍🏻 one thing you will never say about your children is it they are not lazy❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Happy Birthday!! There will be fertile eggs eventually. With a simultaneous polyandrous mating system it is the female that sets up territory and attracts many males to incubate her eggs. If the females are able to lay eggs in a separate shelter for each male, an area that could be closed off from all others, there may be more success with letting the males incubate. I'd imagine that the area doesn't have to be too large because the male will not venture far. Wait, I think I am living vicariously through you guys, lol.
