From the standpoint of someone who likes to fish this man is a saint as he was pulling out the bike I could see some fishing line and weights attached to the seat

I love hearing you talk to yourself, then answer yourself, and even interrupt yourself…. I guess you like having intelligent conversationski.
Wow this guy pretty dope, altho if im being smart as me am, I know that if you think hard, anything and everything is a weapon.

If you haven't looked into it, you might want to contact one of the local guys in the tree-climbing business.
To see if they can design a simple 2-to-1 rope/pulley device that you can hook to the bridge rail, and slip your rope into it if there is a heavy haul needed.
Thus halving the energy required to haul up.
I enjoy your enthusiasm!
Yea. 69th like lol.
But also this may be a public area so he'd have to clear with the county or something
That's a good idea
His excited cackles make me think of a fishing goblin. His infectious enthusiasm is what I subscribe for along with magnet fishing. I wanna try it for the hell of it

Spoons aren’t rusty because they are plated in silver which corrodes differently.
He is right to bad silver isn't magnetic because if it was all sterling silver it would be worth some cash money
stainless
@@Wanaanabe I dont think it's the silver plating. Most tableware is stainless steel nowadays, which is just an easier way to say it's iron mixed with a bunch of other elements that keep it from rusting. Now if he *does* find one that's rusted he would actually find a good thing because people stopped making full iron tableware decades ago. A rarity.

Not to be dark or anything but those where kids bikes and there where two of them-
and two blankets-
And then you found a brass knuckle pocket knife, which could of been used in a child murder. they put the blanket over there head hit them with the brass knuckle and hide there bikes in the water put the blankets in the water and let the body’s flow down the river. also, the brass knuckle seemed to be down there about the same amount of time as the bikes and blankets.
Ok Sherlock
You’re so clever!

Nobody:
The fisher: "OMG A SPOON! :D"
Yo insane
Jk
The reason spoons never rust is because they're usually made of stainless steel or silver. In this case, it's probably plated because stainless and silver are not magnetic. You got quit a haul today! Or should I say "HAULSKI"? LOL
austenitic stainless isn't magnetic, ferritic and martensitic stainless steel are ;)
fun fact: if you machine austenitic stainless steel, the heat and pressure from cutting can initiate a martensitic conversion and make the chips magnetic :)
@@SuperTrunkspace Are you a fellow machinist?
@@SuperTrunkspace Spoons aren't machined. They are punched from a sheet of material then pressed into shape.
@@jimfinigan1681 I'm studying towards a degree in metals processing, and I have worked as a machinist before :) yep, spoons are usually stamped. But if the spoon gets a burr on it you can file it off and pick up the chips with a magnet ;)
Brass knuckle are legal to possess in Wisconsin, but not legal to carry without a concealed carry permit.
Lol as I read this comment he caught a brass knuckle
As i was reading this he caught a spoon
Seems kind of stupid to require someone to get a permit just to carry a chunk of metal.
@@Quinntus79 to be fair a punch to the head by a skinny kid wearing brass knuckles could kill a full grown man
@@Aztesticals You could arguably do similar damage with a roll of quarters held in your fist. Are we going to require permits to carry rolls of quarters as well?
That spoon (or most cutlery) was probably made from stainless steel which doesn't rust. I wouldn't be surprised if the steel was manufactured in Sheffield too.

That curved thing that you only found half of looks like either an icepick that they used to pick up Big Blocks of ice with and deliver them to ice boxes or something to do with trees being floated down the river a log roller or something like that
Yonk
The curved thing is a blade they used in modern times to cut arms and legs off

it a cooking or a hunting knife (can't remember which one)look in knife catalogues somewhere between 1970s to 1990s you'll find it btw it a really good knife.

That washer is galvanized and used on power poles when linemen are putting up cross arms. The knife you pulled up just after looks like a skinning knife, also used by electricians and linemen for skinning insulation off of wire

Why do they call them brass. Brass is not magnetic.
Jaska$$es stealing bikes and throwing them in creeks

Now you need to do a restoration/clean up video of some of these latest finds.... the tools, the brass knuckle pocket knife, etc. Would be kind of interesting to see them cleaned up and see if they work. Some awesome finds today. Keep it up.

Lololol your excitement over fishing line slayed me. You sound tired. Have a great weekend and thank you for the wonderful entertainment.
It's nice to have a hobby that only costs a little to get the gear but is free every time you go out fishing.
Metal Plate with nut an part of bolt. No idea on the other item. Rather rusted knife, look like a kitchen one. That is a big nut. Double socket wrench. Stainless steel won't rust easily, need some form of acid to make them rust. Okay, here is the breakdown for legality of brass knuckles per state (some cities in those states may have different laws):
Legal in HI, TX, GA, SC, IN, MT, ID, WY, SD, and IA.
Legal with permit ND, WI, OH, CT, OR, NE NM, KY, WV, WA, MD, DE, NC, LA, MS, AL, and FL.
Illegal in AK, WA, MN, MI, ME, VT, NH, NY MA, RI, PA, NJ, IL, NV, CO, MO, CA, KS, AR, TN, and OK.
I love your enthusiasm!
It never fails, you make me laugh. 😂
Great vid!😸really!
OK, the next time someone ask you what your doing? Just tell them "I am magnet fishing for steel head" watch their reaction.
😅🤣😂
Your excitement brings out my happy. ♡
I know somebody lost there magnet on the bottom of the bridge and I tried to get it off but it fell in the water it is a single sided magnet so you should try to find it
6:28 I know that curve! That's a Green River "Buffalo Skinner." Would actually be pretty decent quality if it wasn't rusted to shit and probably a murder weapon that someone dumped.
5:20 thats probably a practice weld, looks like a lot of stuff that comes out in welding classes. and the next thing could be part of a breaking system for a car.
I love how we got excited about a fishing lure lol😅
Love your energy for the stuff you find
This guy has got to be from Wisconsin. I can tell by the accent
Try to restore the brass knuckles as a project dude.
wtf dude thats insane
The bike you pulled up looks in pretty good condition and could be fixed. If you notice the wheels have a lot of spokes which is a stronger wheel. Another reason its worth fixing.
The spoon I am sure is
made of stainless steel and that is why it didn't rust . If you look it say it on it. Lots of table ware are made of it. It's not like its worth a lot money. The reason I know so much about bicycles I been fixing and
rebuilding them sense I was a young kid . It's a lot of fun to fix a little kids bike. Sometimes their bike is safer.
Love how he says wow when he finds something than throws it in the bucket
Where is this located, im asking so me and my dad could possibly go there if its not to far away and go magnet fishing
The funny hook thing is a drag hook. It’s mounted so that there is a length of the handle-pole along side it and it pincers isn’t the)ga when you pull back on it.
Used for dragging logs or weed clods. Standard gear on river service boats (and canal ones, which is where I encountered them. Unlike the hook rakes also used for weed, it doesn’t risk bending.
YESSSS ANOTHER VID
❤️
How do those bikes get there in the first place lol!
I’m thinking people steal them and that’s the quickest and easiest way to “get rid of the evidence forever” 😂
Your back fishing is great

The rounded 🌙 thin metal pc with the missing end, I think is a hand-sickle small version missing the wooden handle, from the larger sickles Also called scythe’s for cropping. ( like the grim reaper caries) mostly used back in the early days 17-1800’s for cropping corn, wheat and others.
I have a few ..
Yep, I agree.

In guessing a rail-trail, the square steel piece is a bridge washer, and with the old Ice block lift, the pointy hinges thing, it would make sense.

The half hook thing is what they used to get the rail road tides into place
