I was in turn 3 of this race. By far the coolest flyover I have ever seen. When the F-16 went vertical at the end the crowd was going crazy.
I have a video from turn 2 of this exact fly-over and have watched and rewatched several times... I have wondered what it looked like from the cockpit. Now I know!

I was there back then…by far one of the best flyovers…but there have admittedly been several great years. This was my favorite.

Agreed. Slow and Low vs. Bolter F-16. I would aim my pipper a wee high as the F-16 passed me..Just sayin..30mm makes a big hole in Aluminum.

This was an incredible flyover to watch in person, thanks for posting it. There's something cool and weird about seeing the parts of your home city that drive by every day out the side of jet's bubble canopy.
I was in very top row in-between turns 3 and 4 right above our heads. This was so cool. Every year for the past 35 years.

The A-10, P-51 and (P-40?) are cruising like it's nothing, that F-16 pilot is sweating bullets, eyes locked on his air speed cause he's knows he's uncomfortably close to his stall speed lmao

I was walking into the zoo when you guys went by. Wondering, hmm what would an elephant would look like at 9gs? Also found out someone got murdered in my hotel room May 15th and they didn't even have the courtesy to patch the bullet holes. Real nice guys though 🙄🤥

It's the aircraft's warning system Female voice warns the pilot to check his attitude if the plane is very low.

The real top guns not some movie crap.
The top gun movie was filmed in real F-18s doing real stunts. Actually, they filmed it similar camera angles at the F-16.
