I was in the Air Force and seen Mike fly many times. I finally got to meet him personally at an air show in Rhodes Island. I was completely starstruck. He is a true class act.
Mike Goulian is an amazing aviator. I am sure it was no doubt an amazing thrill for him given the equipment he got to fly in but Goulian is such an amazing pilot. Gotten to see him fly a few times. This pilot had absolute confidence in Mike G to hand it over to him, that's a great show of RESPECT from one aviator to another.....Enjoyed this 👍🇺🇸
Mike is a great guy . He knows my cousins and had the pleasure of him flying us in their old plane from Hanscom (Bedford MA) to Portland Maine back 20 years ago. Still the smoothest landing i have ever experienced.... this def must have been a dream for him ... Congrats Mike !!!!!! Excited to find your channel. great stuff.
I can confirm. The best ride in the world. Winnemucca , NV 2002 National Guard's F16. A happy Finnish boy here. I trade my 60 L/D of my sailplane to that trust any day :D
I come running out of the house to look at every Cessna that flies by 😂 this would make my day. And I was stationed at a base with f16s and worked in airfield management, so not like I haven't had my share of sitting on the hold line while they depart in full afterburner.
Work with a retired fighter pilot in the aviation domain now and youd never expect it. Quiet, easy going, not cocky. Think part of it is bravado that keeps them on point 24/7. Knowing you’re competing with the bests and wanting to be the best can make some people perform extremely well.
from what ive heard the f16 was designed so you can only move the stick 2-3 inch each way and requires verrry little input to help reduce pilot fatiuge
@@mistermaster38 Not even a full inch. Just 1/4", and that wasn't even in the design. The original YF-16 prototype was a completely fixed stick designed with 0 flex. The pilots hated this, and ultimately the design was changed to allow 1/4" of movement purely for pilot sensory feedback, but the movement has nothing to do with the actual flight control input, as that is a 100% FBW pressure-based system.
I couldnt begin to tell you how many families on boats that i have surpised while out flying. Probably scared them half to death. The one i remember most was when i knew my parents and their friends were out on the water and i made a couple of passes over them. My dad told me later on when i called him that he was giving me the finger
@@noellealissa2206 i couldnt see him of course but i knew it was their boat lol. i probably wouldve given it right back to him if i knew what he was doing.
These guys getting out of airplanes like this and retiring, need to get into race cars. Not quite the g's, but a lot of fun and your life is on the line.
That look incredible it must be a ride of a lifetime I bet the pilots is the most skillful trained and highly intelligent I would love to go on a ride just one time that would be an experience out-of-this-world maybe one day....
Rain, is there any footage of you guys ( from the ground) absolutely ripping over those lakes? Looked like a fair amount of people got a pretty incredible airshow

It's a pretty busy airspace and she has fucking fighter jets buzzing around doing maneuvers. She's doing exactly what she's supposed to be doing to make sure your family doesn't fall out the sky.
I'm so confused. Isn't Goulian a professional racer who pulls 10g all the time? Why does he look like he's struggling so much with breathing in the G's? And why were his 4-point rolls so bitched? I know he's a badass behind the stick, but for some reason this video made him look like an amateur.

I love the backdrop of mundane General and Commercial Aviation on comms. To me, it would be a constant reminder not to take even a second for granted.
Incredible Indy Style in Spectacular F 16 Fighting Falcon . Amazing. Nice.

Super Mike Goulian F 16 Ride with Rain.
Fantastic F 16 Fighting Falcon
I’m straining with him. Can’t help it !
Cool! Mike was my boss at Executive Flyers Aviation in Massachusetts many years ago. Nice guy.
2 of the best in business flying together
What an awesome video. Looks like Mike handled it like a champ.

Wonderfull The Afterburn Podcast
Mike you lucky guy. An Extra or Edge is a phenomenal airplane, but the brute power of a Viper in burner...no comparison.
Spectacular F 16 Fighting Falcon Block 60
Just Beautiful
Imagine chilling on a boat catching some sun or fishing and then the fist of God screams right over your head nearly supersonic. Awesome!
All the time here in Wilmington NC.

I could not imagine having to transition from being a fighter pilot to the civilian world.....
Yeah right it would be like racing formula one to have to race lawnmowers nothing would be as bad ass as An f16! Except for maybe f22 or eurofiter
Come pay day in the civilian world, it all comes together.

I know what you mean
@@joeys8701 these guys seem to be the top of the top in every way. Confident, charisma, poise, execution. Just incredible.
Wow- for an experienced Extra 300 guy, when Mike says the F-16 stick is "touchy", it must REALLY be.....because the Extra is also.
Yea, but the extra has a center stick that moves alot. The viper stick responds to pressure

@@szavvy2717 i flew the F-16 for 8 years but i got out of the service 4 years ago due to a back injury.
Viper doing a low fly by. Always the best.
So cool! My dream job was always to be a fighter pilot.
Mike's like "9g? That all you got?"
Thumb smashed through my phone how hard I pressed that like button.
I think my jealousy meter just hit the moon
Mike you lucky dog. Living the good life!
That was sick

Missing the start up ! 😎

Wish I could ride in a Viper.
Indy 500 Flyover Weekend Spectacular
I could give everything for just 10 min of flying like that

Helluva bump @ 11:19
Sharp eye 😉
Is that regular turbulence or wake from the other fighter?
It reminds me of when we flew in the Harrier junk Jets
Good Flying !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'd love to get a ride in the Edge 540. Got my F-15 and F-16 squares filled.
Goulians right bayonet is not in far enough. Mask not tight enough.
Rain, what do you mean you'll miss doing this? Don't those FedEx jets perform like that?
Hahahhaa
Damn i hold my. Breath and pressing chest while looking hahaha also heavy breathing
Keep your eyes on the horizon
I am so incredibly jealous it's not even funny. My brother is in the Air Force and does armament for F-16's. Sends me pictures all the time.
Lol pilot is just chillin talking while guy in back seat is struggling to breathe while Pullin gs lmao
Guy in the backseat pulls G's for a living. Kinda makes fighter pilots that much more impressive that they can fly, fight and communicate like that.
@@9HighFlyer9 absolutely

We're they flying over the lakes of Bloomington Indiana?
This was about 40 nautical miles south east of Indianapolis

Probably the Brookville area. Thanks man

Do F16pilots ever get to demo pulling out of a stall or a flat spin? For educational purposes?

Sounds like the pilot struggling a little pulling G's. His flying was very smoothe though. What a boss! And awesome for the passenger doing a 4 pt.
The passenger is one of the most accomplished aerobatic pilots in the world and is currently an Air Racer. He's used to pulling up to 12 G's
Straya mate!
Is viper 1 the most famous fighter pilot on TH-cam? Did he ever fly a f-14 and a su-57 yet?
Can you do an J-Turn in a f-16?
@11:40 were you guys play dog fighting lol
Man, how many civilians can say that they've flown a Viper in formation? Talk about bragging rights.
Fly by wire way different then cable and pulley he used to.
Big jelly
I don't know what an experience like this would cost, but I'm open to taking out a 2nd mortgage
That's about what it would cost
Awesome ride. His oxygen mask looks kinda small 🤷🏻♂️
Get some of that you're the only one going faster than the cat's in the Indy can I speaking for someone that sat in the infield Indy 500 Rodger that
How do I sign up for this?!
To many commercials!!!!
That ATC annoyed the shit outta me.....I was like just shut up and let me fly already...damn...stop bumping yer gums.
