Finally! Someone who doesn't use facetune, and shows that real skin has texture. It's refreshing to see how foundation looks on skin, in reality. I have very dry skin too, so thank you! 💕
Thank you for not using filters when filming! It's so frustrating when other people blow their lighting and use filters bc we know skin isnt like that IRL
Honestly it is so refreshing being able to see how the foundation actually sits on skin. Your natural skin is lovely and it really helps me when buying a foundation if I can see it on real skin. Just subscribed x
It wasn't too hard to guess, GA always pulls slightly olive in most shades and is thinner in consistency. The loreal one has lesser coverage, its a bit thicker but melts in super easily. Also I think your skin looked prettier on the loreal side, just looked like healthy moisturised complexion. Love them both personally, but for that price difference, Loreal takes the cake.
With L’Oreal owning the Giorgio Armani Beauty group there’s little surprise that the formulas are more alike than different. You have definitely made a good argument for trying the L’Oreal foundation.
I also have both, but for me only the Armani works, the other one dries my skin out like crazy and I see every little wrinkle. I’m 41. I use the Armani mixed with Paula’s Choice hidrating cream and sunscreen, that’s the perfect consistency for my oily skin and stays perfect all day. It looks totally natural, not like a foundation.
Just tried this and AM IN LOVE! I'm 53 with dry, mature skin and this is the first "foundation" that I'm in awe of. Holy Grail! I pair it with SheGlam's birthday skin primer and this combo is magical. I have baskets filled with foundations that I'll probably never use again. ps. I guessed right cuz I'm currently using and you can see the difference in the texture and finish. I'd also advise dry skin ladies to make sure you really really really prep your skin well before application.
I'm intrigued by your comment about ShesGlam birthday skin primer. I am 60 and have never tried that. What can you tell me about it? I'm looking for something to blur texture.
Thanks for the demo! I prefer the slightly silkier Armani to the dewier L’Oreal. Could you compare the two in terms of wear? Which one lasts longer without fading or changing color?
Yes I did do which side was Giorgio Armani and which side was the L'Oreal only because I have both and I haven't the same colors that you do but I prefer the L'Oreal I think it has a smoother finish and more voluminous finish you look so beautiful
hard to say since it’s one of those things that can vary person to person. your best bet would be to give it a test run. I personally haven’t rly had any issues with the L’Oréal.
I’m not a luxury brand snob….but I just don’t like the LOreal one. It’s ok, but between these two, I prefer the Armani. Besides, I heard the Nude Match was a dupe for Chanel Le Teint Velvet (now discontinued)….but I don’t think it’s a dupe for that one either!
Omg you are so beautiful. They both looked nice. But I honestly thought the loreal looked nicer. 👍 thank you. I ordered the loreal this morning, so I cant wait to get it.
Thank you, this was the exact video I was looking for! I have LS and you know we all can't stop trying new things. Debating on trying the L'oreal and I appreciate your video!
I would think you'd wear L'Oreal in 3-4 light medium but you got 4-5 medium. We have similar skin tone and I just bought the 3-4 light medium now thinking I should get the 4-5 medium. Do you just like to wear your foundation darker or is 3-4 light medium just not a good match?
I think the 4-5 medium was a perfect match for what I was looking for. My face is more pinky toned compared to the rest of my body and I do use self tanner a lot. It’s also a lot easier for me to use concealer to brighten areas of the face if need be.
These both are my current fav’s other ones just don’t do it for me already finished one Giorgio already & bought a second one as it was 30% off highly recommend x shades 4/5 & 6.5 Armani I use mainly for going out for black tie events as it lasts all night through dancing weather anything without budging I’m not sure the L’Oréal can deliver the same results.. I have to add a footnote my daily tinted moisturiser is laura Mercier in ochre & is amazing too !
Hi beauty. I guessed correctly but I think the Loreal looked better on you. Maybe bc I think the GA pulled green on you, and there maybe a better shade match out there for you should you decided you like it enough to buy it again. I know I had to get a few samples before i got it right. I really want to try that Loreal. 60 year old skin just cannot wear the heavy full coverage stuff anymore.
Holy moly. I like the Loreal more on you, shade match and finish is way better! So happy cos I just bought that one for myself. Only issue is it’s drying.
I’ve been using the serum trios from Maelove for the past month almost (linked in my previous morning routine vlog). I’m assuming that. And my morning SPF 🤗
I guessed right :) only because I have the GA and I know that one gives pretty solid coverage, whereas you had to add extra on the L’Oreal side to get the same coverage. Both are absolutely stunning though and can't wait to try the L'Oreal one!!
Great video - thanks. I have a sample of tube of the Armani and then read about the L'oreal in the Guardian along with the Body Shop Fresh Nude. I hotfooted it into town but there were no sample tubes of the L'oreal to try out in any of the shops so I managed to get a sample of the Body Shop one which is amazing. I have the same issues with skin although mine goes really greasy as soon as I put anything on it - not sure why. Still haven't made a decision but after watching this video I'm prepared to buy a bottle to check it out.
Great review!! . I can tell the GA one is more blurring than the Loreal, not sure if it has something to do with lighting. Makes u wanna think if you're willing to pay extra bucks for the GA effect. Hope loreal serum will also sell in my country. God bless to your channel, sending love from the PH. ❤️🙏
I've been looking for foundation for a wedding I have in a week and this helped so much. I can't do thick foundation so I'm definitely getting the serum foundation from loreal
I guessed the Armani straight off because it gives a finer, more elegant, natural finish, not so oily looking At first I thought both colours were too orange -yellow for your skin which is really a delicate pink, but the Armani looks fine, the other, not. Every one on youtube talking about 'dewy' finish looks greased up under lights but a loose powder would remedy that. Thanks for helping me decide not to buy the makeup serum.
Glad it helped a bit 👍🏼 Yes, my face is a bit more pinky but my body is more of a neutral yellow undertone so I always try to match foundation to my body. These weren’t a perfect match, you’re right, but I feel like I can still make them work with some bronzer, concealer and powder :)
I'm gonna guess that the right is the Luminous Silk and the right is the L'Oreal... the right side looked a bit thicker when you dotted it on and on the left side I heard the dropper touch the bottle lol
My problem is; I have dry skin, slight acne flare-ups here and there, which lead to some scarring and spots/discoloration that I need to cover up, and some dry, flaky patches around my mouth. So, finding a good foundation for my skin that also has good coverage, but is lightweight and soft is very frustrating lol.
I’ve been loving the Jane Iredale pressed powder foundation. It has decent coverage but skin looks like skin. Out of all of the foundations I’ve tried so far it looks the most like skin while having light-medium coverage. Worth a try if within your budget.
@TashVitorsky budget isn't much concern to me when it comes to a good foundation, but I'm a bit weary of using a powder foundation 😅 I can't even use most Setting powders because of the dryness on my face. The ONLY setting powder I have tried and still use that doesn't bring out the dry patches on my face is surprisingly the SheGlam Hydro Wet Setting loose powder. That stuff is amazing. It feels wet and cool when you pat it on and dries down quickly and works excellently at Setting my makeup without causing dry patches to appear.
@@HollyLuYa94 I hear you. my skin doesn't so well with powders either. I usually avoid setting powder or heavy foundations for this reason. but for some reason, the Jane Iredale one works better than most other liquids ive tried. I wish there was a way to even sample it. if there is, highly recommend.
@@TashVitorsky hi, not sure if its just me seeing 4-5 med shade is kinda too dark for your skin tone unless you picked that shade on purpose for a tan look? wondering bc this shade would fit my skin tone but im just thinking to get one more shade darker to get the tan look like yours? 😅
Before u cld ask which side I knew where u had ga on , so went back to beginning of video but ur right side of the face had more glow compared to the left even before u used the makeup, not sure if its the lighting.
I guessed wrong! I love this idea of comparing two products and not being able to see which, then guessing! Great idea because we all can be a little swayed by luxury brand names
Great video! I agree and LOVE this new L’Oréal foundation! My new absolute FAVE. I actually do not like the GLS on my skin. Was never crazy about the way it wore throughout the day. Xo
L'Oreal DOES NOT compare to the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk. The L'Oreal serum foundation dries my already dry skin out and also showed extreme texture even with prep and heavy moisturizer involved... The luminous silk is hydrating and comfortable. 🙊 First of, your left side, my right, was the luminous silk, the texture was undeniable.
Well, that L’Oréal ist far far far from that Armani foundation. I also have both of them and I see the difference, it’s huge. Armani looks like my skin but better, more even and nothing more. With L’Oréal you can see that I wear foundation, and it does not matter how small amount I’ve taken, you just see it, but bit that is the worse, the worse is that this repeal do not cover anything!! It is just a foundation which you can see on my face and which does not cover anything at the same time, I love mass market product usually, but not foundation and for sure not this one
I wish I could rmbr 😭 but from the color tone, I only own one super nude gloss with that color so I assume it’s the wet n wild liquid catsuit in “send nudes” or one of the nude shades And lined the lips with a brown toned nude liner
Finally! Someone who doesn't use facetune, and shows that real skin has texture. It's refreshing to see how foundation looks on skin, in reality. I have very dry skin too, so thank you! 💕

I don't wear foundation but I'm still intrigued!
Haha, I think it’s such a great lightweight foundation. ❤️
What did you use for your skin care prior to foundation? Love how beautiful and glowy your skin looks without makeup on 😍
I bought this and I love it. It looks so natural and gives my face some vibrancy.
The L’Oréal foundation sits on your skin better therefore I prefer this foundation over the GEORGIO one.
Beautiful complexion, face and video. You knocked it out of the ballpark! Thank you so much

I could tell which side was Armani because of that olive undertone. Both are beautiful finishes but obviously I would choose the less expensive one 😅
Amazing video, which lashes are you wearing? 💘
Long lasting?
can you tell about how longlasting it is? gotta do my own weddingmake up cuz the trial went really bad. does the loreal stay on all day?
