- The L'oreal True Match Serum Foundation has been pretty hyped and since I love the original True Match Foundation I had to test it out. Will you be trying this one or do you prefer the original?

I love L’Oréal foundation. I recently have discovered that if I mix L’Oréal fresh 24 hour foundation with some Revolution concealer, it creates the perfect semi matte finish for my dry skin, I even wore this combo in the dry winter here in Brisbane and never had a problem.
I haven't used that foundation in so long, I need to pull it out again! Love that you've found a good combo 👏🏻

maybe you need more hydrating cream under it as it’s got HA which draws out your moisture if it doesn’t have enough and will look dry

I bought this at Priceline half off a few days ago, I agree it looks so heavy on dry skin! And made me have lines under my eye/cheek I’ve never seen before, it really ages me, but I spent the money so I’ll try it out with other products and see what I can do, next time will definitely check if you have a review first!

@@TanikaJaun this is strange but suddenly it’s turned into my most worn foundation! Im almost out and bought a new bottle, I just use it with a sponge but it’s no longer heavy looking, I’m not sure what changed apart 🤔 maybe my skin hasn’t been as dry recently, I’ve been using the cetaphil ultra hydrating lotion, but I also bought a bottle of the regular foundation to try, it’s $11 cheaper so hope it works great ^^
Oh I'm sorry you don't like it. It's definitely no Morphe skin tint! However, I apply it with my hands and only use around 5-6 drops - I apply it like I would a tinted moisturiser. I find it works really well that way, covers pores well, doesn't look heavy or dry on me. I think less is more with this one. I do love the original more though, and use the original on the weekends when I'm wanting more coverage.

100% agree. Having the same problems. It just doesn't look right on me either. I'd much prefer the actual foundation 😊

I had the exact same issue as you! It was far too deep for me and just looked very unnatural and clung to dry patches. I’ll stick to the Morphe skin tint for when I want a more natural coverage

Could do! If I was going to try and make it work I'd mix with a lighter coverage, more hydrating formula and then I might get what I was expecting from it 🤷🏼♀️
Interesting you said it looks heavy, you used about 50% more product than I would use, and on me it looks really natural and not heavy at all.

I can't imagine how they thought they could pull off grouping together shades from 0.5 to 2. It looks SO dark on me, it's so obviously the wrong shade, even if I apply a tiny amount and blend it out (which defeats the purpose of actually wearing anything, because it just makes my face look darker without actually doing much). The 0.5 shades aren't available in my country, so not sure they would match me (shade 1 is obviously dark on me). I don't mind the actual finish of the product, but the shade is horrible.
Right! It just doesn’t work, it’s just so much darker then the lightest shades of the true match foundation.

I have a problem with this foundations to find the right shades.
My undertoon is cold and pink but the shade 2CR make me to light plus the shade 3CR is to dark for me and from the drop foundation I've tried shade 2-3 which makes my skin look yellow and the shade 3-4 is make me look like to dark no matter if I take one or two pumps. Thought about to buy shade 4-5 but don't know if this shade don't fit me.
Yeah that’s super frustrating isn’t it!! If they don’t have a cool shade between 2-3, maybe try lightening drops. I know that’s annoying to do every time but if you like the undertone match it could work.
What cream bronzer did you use? Trying to find a good one for pale skin is so hard
I can’t find in a description what bronzer I used but I like the elf putty bronzer in tan lines or the Nars cream bronzers are super nice too!!
I had the same thing happen! I could just pull off the shade match but it didn't sit or wear nicely and was very clingy. I even tried mixing the foundation and the serum together and still didn't like it. I'm glad i got it half price but still not worth that much 🤮

@@TanikaJaun yes the original foundation is one of my holy grails! A foundation that just always looks good. But I agree, so many people made great reviews on it and I don't get the hype ahaha.

I found the colours really difficult to choose so limiting. I'm normally a light medium in most foundations the 2-3 medium was quite dark on me. I just used a whitener from Mecca Cosmetics which is very pigmented and works quite well. I would not buy it again. I'll stick to my Shiseido Synchro skin only problem it's not cruelty free.
Yeah I don’t like how they mashed the shades together, it really doesn’t work well 😒
I haven’t lived in Aus for a couple years but forgot how much more expensive makeup is there!!! I think I will pass on this foundation based on your review…
