Current favourite is Nars pure radiant tinted moisturiser. Now that the season has changed I’m curious to know what products from your make routine will change? Perhaps change of hues or change of formula. Love your content. Always find myself checking to see if you have uploaded anything.
My fave isnt technically a foundation. I love love the wet n wild tinted hydrator its so pretty on the skin and looks very balanced not too matte and not like a big blot of grease. My skintype is a tiny bit oily but very dehydrated
Nars Sheer Glow! For years I longed to try this foundation since everyone talked about it on youtube when I started watching for years ago, but it wasn't until recently Nars was more accessible in Sweden and I tried it a see why so many people loved it! It's such a middle of the road foundation, not to matt or shiny, not full coverage or too little. It looks so natural on my skin wich is very important to me. And they have such a good colour range so I have finally found a realy good match! My skin type is combination leaning more dry. I did try a sample of Luminous Silk but though the Sheer glow looked less noticeable on the skin. I'm curious to try the Fenty one and have been sooo curious about the Charlotte Tilbury one but I have forbidden myself to buy a foundation without trying it first and you cant't get CT in Sweden.
My favorite foundation of all time is Mac Face and Body. Every day, every occasion. It never lets me down. A light layer for drinks on a humid evening in Hawaii? Check! Layered up for a more glam look at my brother’s wedding? Check! Powdered for a toned down matte finish for giving a corporate presentation? Check check check! When I heard even the slightest hint of a rumor it may be discontinued, I stocked the hell up. Of course, it wasn’t, and I breathed the biggest sigh of relief of all time. Face and body, you and I were meant to be.
I barely wear foundation (relatively oily skin, live somewhere very humid, don’t love foundations the don’t set, like my freckles to show up), but I would gladly watch 20 more minutes of you describing foundations.
So true about luminous silk. I wore it last night to test out a new shade (still wasn’t perfect) but we took a picture and I could not get over how good my skin looked. Couldn’t see a single wrinkle and yet still skin-like.
My favorite foundation is actually the Anastasia Beverly Hills Luminous foundation! I never hear anyone rave about it, it's criminally underrated. It has a beautiful, natural finish with a medium coverage. At least, that's how I feel. Anastasia says it's full coverage, but I feel like that's just become more of a marketing phrase than an actual descriptor in recent years. How'd you feel about doing a video like this one in which you put a bunch of the commenters' recommendations to the test? I think it would be a lot of fun and I'd just love to see you try mine.
I'm normal to dry (but sweaty out here in the Texas heat) and I absolutely adore the Smashbox Studio Skin foundation. Smoothing, buildable, long lasting, good shade range, no spf for photography. It feels flexible on the skin so it doesn't crack or settle into lines.
Thank you Karima! I love this video so much! Armani Luminous Silk is one of the top foundations I’m currently considering, now that my ride, or die, N°1 HG-for-life foundation has been reformulated/discontinued. The Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation in the shade 210 Buff N is the *ONLY* foundation I’ve ever found that has perfect, medium-buildable coverage, truly looks like skin, & fits my skin tone EXACTLY. I legitimately planned on using this foundation for the rest of my life-it was absolute perfection. Lancôme is honestly testing my sanity by changing their Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation line. They completely revamped the shades + the formula for the worse, getting rid of 210 Buff N entirely. Neutral undertone shades in general are a thing of the past now. Everything in the range consists of cool/pink/red, yellow, or bronze/warm tones. They also apparently destroyed the once-perfect formula, making it much more heavy/cakey. I wasn’t sure if I was the only one completely, & utterly devastated by this change, until I took a look at the new Sephora reviews. Every single person (who didn’t receive the new formula in pr) is 100% distraught by both the new formula, & the new shades. The running sayings seem to be “why did you have to mess with perfection”, & “if it’s not broken, don’t fix it”. For some reason, it’s next to impossible to find a shade match for my light, Mediterranean olive-toned skin. 99.99% of foundations with an olive undertone are for light-medium, or medium complexions. I am truly light-toned-so each, & every one ends up looking too dark, or too warm/bronze. Like Karima, I *need* my foundation to look exactly like skin. I actually like applying the one from Lancôme with my hands, almost like skincare. Then, I go over the areas I want more coverage again, also with my fingers. That’s how spectacular + blendable the formula used to be. I have dehydrated, combination skin that leans oily. It’s often both oily, & flakey at the same time. The finish of the previous formula was also right on the money for my skin. Sort of a “natural matte”-not glowy/dewy (so as not to add to my oiliness), but not flat/drying (so as not to accentuate my dry patches). I swear this foundation was made for me, & many others felt the exact same way. The Dior Forever Foundation in the shade 1N, or possibly 1.5N is another high-ranking contender in my hunt for a new HG. The one mentioned here from YSL is another possibility, along with the aforementioned Armani Luminous Silk. The best circumstance though? If Lancôme would take our criticism/moral outrage to heart, & fix their mistake. Not a single soul understands why this change happened, especially since this foundation was INSANELY popular, & sold like hotcakes. Since I don’t see this fix happening anytime soon, any, & all feedback/recommendations for a high-end, skin-like foundation that has a light, Mediterranean olive-tone shade would be GREATLY appreciated!❤
I so agree with you Lancome should not change the formula and colours of a perfect foundation... I am now looking desperately to find the right match in color and finish..
Luminous silk is really by far my top fav!The shade range to me is just so perfect unlike some Japan brands I love their foundation but the tone is too peachy that i have to mix with other shade. I was a cabin crew and the finishing did last long that I didn’t need to touch up even on a 18hrs ultra long flight! It’s my all time fav even now GA comes out a lot new foundations.
As far as drug store foundations go, essence pretty natural is absolutely amazing! So natural, really long wearing and doesn’t settle into my 48yo lines!! I was so surprised by this foundation I reach for it often over my high end foundations
Karima.. We need to know (well at least I do) what's on your eyes? So sparkly! For the Luminous Silk I have very oily skin and it last all day on me if I set my primer with the Hourglass loose powder. Other wise I would say 6 to 7 hours before getting very dewy ☺️
I've been hooked on the purito cica clearing bb cream for a few months now. I have normal / combination skin, and it wears very well for me, without creasing even under the eyes, without powder. It doesn't fade awkwardly or separate. I love combining it with the urban decay all night primer to increase longgevity, but I also slap it on without primer. Also the dewy finish is gorgeous
I swear by the good old MAC Face and body, and I must say I love it even more in the new version (they say that it's not been reformulated, but I'm not 100% convinced). It's just so versatile and reliable, I have a normal to dry skin type and it goes on beautifully no matter the condition of my skin, It wears well throughout the day and if I want it dewy I leave it as it is, if I feel for a satin finish I just powder it. A big plus is that you get 50ml in a small packaging, doesn't look fancy but great to travel with, also it's best applied with the hands so no need to clean brushes or sponges.
I am soooo scared to try the reformulates version!! I stocked up when the rumors of discontinuation were flying about so I have quite a stash to go through.
This was my answer for my dry skin too! It's so reliable and I can always count on it to look good. I totally agree that it's been reformulated though, I have a bottle of the new and old one and I can tell a difference in texture (older is more liquidy) but both perform wonderfully!
I just discovered Nars sheer glow this year and I LOVE it! I always have problems with foundations bringing out texture in my skin, and the sheer glow does NONE of that! I'm also oily so I have to blot every few hours or the glow gets a bit much, but the texture is 🤩
Have you tried the newer Soft Matte foundation? I heard it's good and I tried it but it's weirdly chalky and cakey? I personally have more combo normal skin only very sliiiiightly oily in T-zone so perhaps Sheer Glow will work better for me lol. A shame since Soft Matte has gotten like so many great reviews as far as I have heard.
The Koh Gen Do Aqua foundation is the best I’ve tried. It looks absolutely amazing like I get compliments everytime I wear it. I also got my sister hooked on it.
This has my best color match, but it's too sheer for me. I prefer something a little higher coverage. Have you tried the other one they have in the red tube?
@@RoshiniDSilva I do the same thing! This combo is very beautiful but for oily skins, I’d recommend a more mattifying powder. The Laura Mercier loose powder also works well.
@@mandar66 I have and the coverage to me for both foundations leans sheer to medium. I don’t think Koh Gen Do makes any high coverage foundations. I’ve seen some reviews describe it as though you can build to a full coverage but that is not my experience. The allure of these foundations is for those who want a very skin like and perfected look. You can build up both foundations without looking cakey but you definitely won’t get full coverage.
my fav is handsdown mac face and body. it covers all of your boxes, is so easy to apply with the hands, invisible and lasts forever on the skin, and is even waterresistsnt
I love Dior Forever foundation. I used to love Prescriptives too but sadly they left the stores...it took me a long time to find this Dior Forever foundation but glad that I did because I love it! By the way my no makeup makeup days are Fente as you mentioned.. I agree it's great!
I am really loving the Rare Beauty foundation!! I have normal to dry skin. I would love for you to do a full Rare Beauty review vid now that they're in AUS :)
My skin type is also normal to dry! My favorite foundation of the moment is Em Cosmetics Daydream Cushion foundation! Light to medium coverage (build-able) and so easy and beautiful!
Maybelline Superstay liquid foundation will always have my heart! it got me through when I had horrible cystic acne and I still wear it in a sheer layer now that my skin is clear. It also lasts forever and the shades 110 and 118 are both good olive shades!
I think we are foundation twinsies. I have most of these (in the same shade, so your channel is a great reference for me) and you are absolutely spot on about all of them and each of them has a different sort of purpose for me. I think my favorite is the Armani (always get compliments when I wear it) but I also love the skinlike look of the Pat McGrath one. I must also shout out another VERY skinlike one: EX1 Invisiwear. It really is invisible on the skin, I was shocked.
I immediately SUBSCRIBED!! Your videos are so good. Such great producing and including cut ins and application cut ins. I love it. I hope you post more!!
You’re ABSOLUTELY right! SUQQU is the most exquisite and expensive I’ve ever own. Glad that I grabbed it during sale.it really blends like a dream. A Little goes along the way. ✨
I use Giorgio Armani Luminious Silk every day and I don't take pictures of myself often. I love it. It look like skin. Half pump for all face it's enough.
@@noacoolest Yes, it last long! But I advice you If you have oily skin or If the day is hot or humid to powder the oilyer zones of your face. You will love this foundation!
@@noacoolest I added some primer and didn’t powder and it lasted a good 8 or so hours then touched it up a tiny bit for the evening. If you are oiler may need some powder. I’m a little dry and the natural oils seemed to keep it looking nice while we were out all day is winter windy weather while she tried on wedding dresses :) maybe try it over a few days and try some primer/powder combos and see how they wear during the day?
I am a Mac nc25 and I love most of the foundations you have mentioned. I am loving the Givenchy feint couture everwear foundation and concealer combo. Shade p200😊
It makes me so happy when you share something you're clearly so passionate about! I am combo normal/oily but do have some tiny dry patches occasionally. I surprisingly love the MAC Studio Radiance Face & Body foundation. It's so lightweight and skin-like the few times I've tried it! I even had a tough gym session and it stayed so well and faded elegantly rather than in patches despite me absolutely dripping sweat. For years I've been a Too Face Peach Perfect foundation fan but they've discontinued it so I'm on a huge hunt for something comparable. MAC Face & Body isn't the same as it's more of a sheer foundation. So idk what to do now! I thought Nars Soft Matte Complete would be comparable but it's kind of weirdly chalky and cakey? So strange since it's gotten rave reviews.
Right now I’m obsessed with beauty blender bounce foundation. I bought 4 shades when I saw them on sale at Sephora so that I have a shade for all the seasons of the year because I cannot be without ♥️
I really like this one as well, first foundation I've re-purchased in years! It really does apply better with a sponge and can crease around my nostrils, but it wears well otherwise. I have to mix green drops into it to get the best match, but that's true with almost every foundation.
I really love The Ordinary’s serum foundation. With my very oily skin, the longest I’ve worn it was 4ish hours but it may stay on longer (I don’t wear makeup often, only on special occasion). It melts into my skin beautifully and has sheer to medium buildable coverage plus easy on my student budget; definitely recommend. BTW, thanks for the amazing videos. Really love them!❤️🥰
My favourite is Light Wonder. I'm very dry and every foundation seems to show the texture of my dryness by the end of the day except for this one. I'm a bit too fair for the lightest shade, but since it's a bit of a sheerer one I can make it work just for that glow and invisibility on the skin which are my top two wants in a foundation. :)
Foundations ♥️ I’m obsessed! Another NC25 olive here, with combo skin. I’m loving MUFE reboot and ultra HD, ELDW original and light, GA LS, and my most recent addition is Dior forever skin glow in 2WO which I really enjoy. I also love my korean bb creams on some occasions where I want to look dewy. They’re not mask friendly though. But Ive heard some matte cushions are (laneige neo and innisfree no senum). My fave in cushion is Laneige hydra radiance cushion in 23. Love it! Some koreans 23 are lighter though but with Laneige, it’s perfect!
You need to try shiseido synchro self refreshing foundation. It’s incredible! I have combo skin leaning oily but it used to be dry. I started using it when I was dry.
Skin type - normal-dry, atopic Favourite everyday foundation: Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum (so sad they are leaving Australia, I just panic-bought three backups...)
mine is the Missha BB cream foundation. I get so many compliments on my skin when I wear it, and its made me comfortable with not having to hide all my flaws with fuller coverage. It isn't super buildable, but can mix well with other foundations to add some coverage. It looks grey at first, but settles into this gorgeous finish that is just *chefs kiss*. Downsides are terrible shade range (as with many asian beauty brands, but they are supposedly adding more shades) and doesn't play nicely with sunscreen.
I love using tom ford traceless foundation stick, Bobbi brown foundation stick, Armani luminous silk, Dior air flash , Dior forever matte. These are currently my wardrobe.
6 in eaze drop is a great shade match for me. thank you so much for the recommendation! I think we have a very similar skin undertone. It’s incredibly difficult for me to find anything olive that isn’t too dark. It wears well under a mask all day as well!
I have normal skin with dry areas on my nose. My favorite is Lancomé Renergie Lift! I think you would love it based on these foundations you talked about.
I recently bought the Luminous Silk since they extended the shade range and it is bomb. I have oily skin and for a natural finish foundation, I surprisingly don't look that oily at the end of the day. 7.75 is also a spot on match. I'm intrigued by the Fenty Eaze Drop & Erborian BB cream.
Dry skin me only uses these 2 foundations. 1. Surratt Dewdrop and 2. Channel Eau de Taint Water Fresh Tint. Similar preference to you but I prefer even more sheer formulas. These do not settle into my 65 year old facelines or wrinkles. Uber-natural but polished, can be topped with loose or pressed powder for a smidge more coverage. Love your videos despite age difference. You are so funny!
My favorite at the moment is Haus Lab, I’m normal to dry. Live in the Midwest. I’m currently using proscribed retinol atm and I’m flaking but this foundation does an amazing job at concealing all dry of the driest parts of my face.. and I only need half a pump. I wish I could use Luminous silk but I tried it back then and it broke me out… so I have tried it again since.. maybe it’s time for a sample. Thank you for ur shares I would love to try Suquu. Love u n ur contents!
I've gotta say my favorite is the Too Faced Born this Way original foundation, and I have dry skin that still has oil seeping through mid-day. The foundation has a natural finish, and with powdered it is semi-matte and not drying/flaking. The shade also matches me well ^^ (but I'm not sure with olive undertones) :D
I’ve been loving the YSL touche eclat all in one glow foundation. It’s dewy and natural, sheer and I love the tube/pump combo! Most days since covid though, I wear the fenty cream bronzer and kosas concealer and that’s enough!
I stick to my two trusty holy grails, IT cosmetics CC cream and Madara Skin Equal foundation. Both alcohol and perfume are definite no gos and all the foundations I used from either Lancôme, Dior or Shiseido have been reformulated over the years and now include at least one of the culprits. Right now I just can’t be arsed to go on a foundation trip (but I absolutely love hearing you talk about them !).
ALWAYS a pleasure to hear your favorite foundation picks and the reasons for them! I am an oily skin type and I just turned 50. My skin is changing and doesn't mind a blowy foundation these days. lol PLEASE hurry with your more affordable drugstore picks video!! :)
Dry skin Favourite foundations: YSL All in one glow for sheer, and either Fenty profiltr hydrating, or Lancome Teint Miracle - most underrated foundation - for higher coverage
I’m a brand new sub. How have I never heard of you?!?!? And I LOVE that you showed the application on the right. It is so annoying when ppl don’t or they are 10ft from the camera. Is it too soon to say, “I love you?!” 😂 - Stefanie, age 47, US, normal to dry with typical aging skin concerns…large pores, sun spots, fine lines. Can’t wait to catch up on your content this weekend so be prepared. Ha!
Can wait to be unlockedown (pls aunty gladys) to put make up on more regularly but other than the GA red cushion, I'm loving my RMK liquid foundation. Another beautiful Japanese skin-like foundation. It's just so light, natural and I catch myself in the mirror feeling like I'm having a great skin day every time. I have quite normal skin, nc18 atm (miss the nc-## shade matches, bring back a universal colouring system in foundation reviews!) and 102 is a good match if not a touch more colour which I don't mind at all. Love these comprehensive, informative and aesthetic as videos - you're my favourite beauty youtuber 🐐 💕
Touché Eclat Le Teint is my favorite foundation! I love it! But I also love Charlotte Tilbury products and I really want to try her Light Wonder foundation. And her products are also cruelty-free!
Current fave is Dior Face and Body, I have normal to dry skin. This foundation my perfect medium coverage but can be sheered down with a sponge. Absolutely beautiful
I'm loving the new touche eclat spf 22 sheer foundation, looks like skin 😌 My skin is oily but with a bit of No7 powder strategically set it just gives me a beautiful skin look and as the day goes on just looks better and better 😍
Pat McGrath foundation is one of my favourites. Also love the YSL Touché Eclat. But for a Wishlist item I would definitely look at getting yourself the new Uoma by Sharon C IRL foundation, it’s my new holy grail. It looks amazing on the skin, wears beautifully and is so much cheaper than my other two favourites. And they ship to Australia!!!
I would add Chantecaille’s, Future skin (in the jar) to beautiful skin-like foundations. I wore Armani on my wedding day, yeah! CT is one of my most favorite ever! Almost all foundations I agree with you on, but the Fenty one is awful on me. It looked like bad powder over my dry patches, settled into pores in a bad way and showed every little hair I had on my face. And I have very good skin 🤷🏻♀️
Favorite foundation: La Mer Soft Fluid, it fills in pores, doesn't emphasize flakes, looks so natural and wears well. It looks so good that to me, the price is justified. I only need to use one pump for whole face. I also like just about any YSL foundation.
Luminous Silk is a perennial favourite 💜 We are very fortunate here in Canada, the Armani Cushion is readily available. They actually just came out with a few new compact designs for the foundation - very pretty.
I have normal to dry skin and I love the Peri Pera Ink Lasting Cover foundation (can be bought on Amazon or YesStyle). It is very thin but packs a lot of pigment, has a satin finish and looks like skin (which I also need in a foundation). Ive also been really loving the Loreal Age Perfect Serum Foundation. When I want matte and full coverage, I go for the Haleys Beauty Matte Foundation. I need a hydrating base underneath (I love it with the First Aid Beauty Coconut Skin Primer) and blended out with a sponge. I cant wait to see your drugstore version!
Dehidrated and sweaty betty! I love the erborian cc cream for summer light makeup days. The drugstore dupe for beloved Armani luminosos silk is the physicians formula silk elixir foundation.
Karima! Awesome video!! I loved the format and how you showed the demo while talking about the foundation. Great work! 🙂 My skin type is dry and my favorite foundations right now are Armani Luminous Silk, and Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation. I have other favorites that have been discontinued 😭😠 so I won't mention them, but I still use because I've stockpiled them. 😉
Please do this as a series. Like best blushes for each occasion, best eyeshadows for each occasion , best lipstick for each occasion. My favourite foundation for my dry skin is tom ford stick foundation.
Karima, as a fellow light to medium olive I am sure you’ve tried the Koh Geh Do foundation (213), it’s just great, both formula and shades for an olive. It’s top of my list of faves. Then I also love the Armani cushion you mentioned and shade 4 is good! I also like the Mac face and body foundation, oldie but a goodie, and I know not a foundation technically, but the Nars concealer in dulce de Leche is a great olive tone that mixed with an oil or some cream makes a great foundation for me! My skin is normal to dry, sensitive and breakout prone.
I have dry skin and my current fav foundation is the Em cosmetics cushion foundation. I used to love the Armani cushion foundation as well, but i find the Em cosmetics one works better with my dry skin.
Can't wait for the drugstore foundations video! The ones I like from drugstore brands is the Loreal True Match Super Blendable Foundation and an old one from Max Factor which is the Pan Stick Foundation. I also recently got the Catrice True Skin, I really like it but haven't tried it much to be honest.
My current favorite foundation is the bare minerals liquid mineral foundation. I believe it's a fairly new release here in the United States, so I don't know if it's available in other countries. It is a liquid version of the original bare minerals loose powder foundation. It's so good on my dry skin! It feels hydrating but i don't have to powder (which makes my dry skin happy), and it has good longevity and a light coverage with what I'd call a natural, skin-like finish. Basically checks every box for what i want in an every day foundation.
Hello karima I hope the new year will bring love to your soul, which is unique, beautiful and unending energy. The meaning of the universe and life is only for the formation of love, happiness.
Amazing video! Even though I have oily skin, I love how thorough your videos are! For foundations to try, I think you should try the reformulated Chanel Les Beiges foundation! Its kind of in the same vein as Skin Fetish, but less dewy, more satin. I'm a medium golden tan and I wear BD40. I own and use the Fenty Eaze Drop (shade 9) and Pat McGrath Skin Fetish (shade 14) foundations all the time. I love them, and think they are freaking brilliant. I am an oily skin heathen and I powder them though. I find the skin fetish foundation looks amazing when powdered -- it looks like I'm wearing a filter! I prefer more glowy foundations because they tend to be more forgiving when they become shiny and break down on my skin. Again, what a brilliant and thoroughly reviewed topic, I can't wait for the drugstore version!
Karima! you look absolutely stunning! very spring appropriate )) My favorites are: charlotte's Lights wonder, armani luminous silk concealer (on no make up makeup days), tarte rainforest of the sea, and of course my trusty armani luminous silk which I baught after your recommendation couple years ago in Italy 🥲 (before pandemic )
Hi Karima! My skin is normal to dry with a tendency to dehydrated skin and redness (I live in a dry climate). I love and have already repurchased the BFF De-Stress Tinted Serum by Trinny London for everyday use, it's light and confortable and unifies nicely my skin. I'm also very fond of the Armani Luminous Silk but I recently discovered their Neo nude Fondation and I find it very natural and fresh on the skin. Honorable mention also to Estée Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Fdt.
I love the Shiseido synchro skin (original not the new luminous). It has medium coverage but can be sheered out, gorgeous natural finish, wears really well on my normal/slightly oily in the T zone skin. I've heard good things from people with dry skin too. 11/10 will repurchase.
I ordered the Armani Luminous Silk last week, I can’t wait to try it 🥰 YSL Touche Eclat has been my favourite for years until they stopped bringing my shade to my country 🥲
It's always difficult for me to pick favourites 🙈 What is your favourite foundation of the moment?

My fave isnt technically a foundation. I love love the wet n wild tinted hydrator its so pretty on the skin and looks very balanced not too matte and not like a big blot of grease. My skintype is a tiny bit oily but very dehydrated
For years i ´le Lancôme idole
And Too Face Born This Way
I ´m loving them
Nars Sheer Glow!
I have combination skin, and my favourite foundation right now is Bobbi Brown’s Skin Long Wear Weightless Foundation. The finish is so lovely.
A lot of people don’t know that Pat McGrath created Luminous Silk foundation when she was creative director for Armani
I was today years old when I learned that Pat was creative director for Armani 😮
Unfortunately I didn't really enjoy Pat McGrath's Sublime Perfection Foundation...It shows every dry skin flake you may have. :S
Omg same!!!!! Everyone looks at me like im crazy when I say I still use Mac for foundation. I refuse to deviate from it.
It’s sooo good. Also it plays really well with every foundation & concealer I have paired it with.
One of my favourites! It always looks good and never heavy! I don’t wear foundation anymore but when I do, F&B is it.
Same!! It’s the BEST foundation ever
thank youuuu! it does not get enough love lol.
I barely wear foundation (relatively oily skin, live somewhere very humid, don’t love foundations the don’t set, like my freckles to show up), but I would gladly watch 20 more minutes of you describing foundations.
Girl, same🤣 I wear foundation only on special occasion, but still watched this for Karima.
The arm muscles!!! We love a strong queen! I've been loving the Fenty Eaze Drops lately!
So true about luminous silk. I wore it last night to test out a new shade (still wasn’t perfect) but we took a picture and I could not get over how good my skin looked. Couldn’t see a single wrinkle and yet still skin-like.
I keep looking at that eyeshadow look 😍 we need a tutorial!❤️
I need to know what lashes were used with the rainbow gems..
It's so prettyy
I have super dry skin and I love the Ilia True Skin Foundation! I always get compliments on how healthy my skin looks
I might have to give that one a try.
Karima.. We need to know (well at least I do) what's on your eyes? So sparkly!
For the Luminous Silk I have very oily skin and it last all day on me if I set my primer with the Hourglass loose powder. Other wise I would say 6 to 7 hours before getting very dewy ☺️
Second the skin type and foundation...makes my skin look like heaven...absolutely adore it💗
DIOR Backstage face and body foundation in 2 Neutral is my holy grail. Discovered it by chance and landed a perfect shade match. **chef’s kiss**
I absolutely love that foundation as well!!! I wish it wasn’t so expensive.
the way you describe and show you putting it on. you are doing these companies a favorrrrr girl. love it!
Can we pleeeease get a tutorial for this look? You look gorgeous 💛
Love her eye makeup, Stunning!
I completely adore foundation and unbelievably, I don’t own several of these. I think I’ll buy them. All. 💕
I love this foundation, but I hate having to apply with hands. It skeeves me out.
@@skincarewithaustin back in the day that was how we all did it in the early 90s lol we called foundation "cover up"
I don't like how they changed the colors. The olive working colors are now peachy :(
This was my answer for my dry skin too!
I'm also oily so I have to blot every few hours or the glow gets a bit much, but the texture is 🤩
Nars sheer glow is the best. Nars knows how to play the competition, and it wins for me everytime
I’ve heard it mentioned so many times! Do you know how it would wear on combo skin? I get a bit oily in summer
@@daniella4889 I have it and it doesn’t look bad. I dust a bit of Charlotte tilbury powder on top and it’s all dewy and nice all day
This has my best color match, but it's too sheer for me.
I also love luminous silk because number 6 is my best color match EVER.
When I tried shade 6 on my arm I laughed, it was so green. Then I tried it on my face…it matched. I am an olive 🫒
I am really loving the Rare Beauty foundation!! I have normal to dry skin. I would love for you to do a full Rare Beauty review vid now that they're in AUS :)
I have realised that armani foundations are thé best i’ve ever tried. I have neo nude and luminous silk
Omgggg I wish she posted foundation reviews more often..😩😩😭😭😭 I love love love her!
My skin type is also normal to dry! My favorite foundation of the moment is Em Cosmetics Daydream Cushion foundation! Light to medium coverage (build-able) and so easy and beautiful!
My favourite foundation is Dior Forever Skin Glow, the only foundation that makes my skin look like skin. It last long as well on me, a 10/10 :D
Me too it’s such a beautiful foundation.
Used it for years. A classic
Does it last long ? Planning on using it for my sisters wedding
Really love them!❤️🥰
i wore the coverage one and switched to the serum one, it looks and wears so nicely and it doesn’t break the bank.
It is good but Luminous Silk is better. 😊
@@flrbndnc that’s fair, but for my skin I like shiseido better and power fabric
@@jningus4135 obviously everyone is different. 😊
Skin type - normal-dry, atopic
Favourite everyday foundation: Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum (so sad they are leaving Australia, I just panic-bought three backups...)
Ah a good ol' Essie Button recommendation
I remember those days
mine is the Missha BB cream foundation.
Love me some Karima wisdom on skin makeup!
I love the Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue and the Colourpop Pretty Fresh Tinted Moisturizer for lighter coverage days. They are so pretty.
Hello from Canada, I am a very dry skin type and my holy grail is Koh Gen Do moisture foundation. From this video, I think you will love it.
My favourite foundation is the Nyx bare with me skin tint in vanilla nude, it just sits so well on my skin and looks very natural!
We love the way you explaining your thoughts!
I’ve been loving the YSL touche eclat all in one glow foundation. It’s dewy and natural, sheer and I love the tube/pump combo!
Most days since covid though, I wear the fenty cream bronzer and kosas concealer and that’s enough!
I love light wonder and ysl but my favs are nars tinted moisturiser and chanel water tint. Highly recommend
My skin is changing and doesn't mind a blowy foundation these days. lol
PLEASE hurry with your more affordable drugstore picks video!! :)
Dry skin
Favourite foundations: YSL All in one glow for sheer, and either Fenty profiltr hydrating, or Lancome Teint Miracle - most underrated foundation - for higher coverage
I’m a brand new sub. How have I never heard of you?!?!? And I LOVE that you showed the application on the right. It is so annoying when ppl don’t or they are 10ft from the camera. Is it too soon to say, “I love you?!” 😂
- Stefanie, age 47, US, normal to dry with typical aging skin concerns…large pores, sun spots, fine lines.
Beautiful eye makeup! Please make a tutorial. Btw, Shiseido Skin Refreshing Foundation is wonderful too!
Agree that YSL Touche Eclat is one of the best...
Love the idea for this video. I'd love to see other TH-camrs have something like this concept
Favorite foundation: La Mer Soft Fluid, it fills in pores, doesn't emphasize flakes, looks so natural and wears well. It looks so good that to me, the price is justified. I only need to use one pump for whole face. I also like just about any YSL foundation.
For me definitely the combo of armani luminous silk and hourglass vanish stick!!! I have combination skin♥️
I finally pulled the trigger on the Suuqu foundation. We have similar tastes in makeup so fingers crossed!
Luminous Silk is a perennial favourite 💜
We are very fortunate here in Canada, the Armani Cushion is readily available.
My current favorite foundation is Kate from Kanebo.
I love the Make Up Forever Water blend foundation on my skin. That looks awesome on my combination to dry skin. Love it so much!
The most useful video on TH-cam, THANK YOU :)
I have normal to combination skin and my favourite foundation is the MUFE ultra HD, the bomb!
Smashbox studio skin is probably my all time fav. I have normal but currently dehydrated skin because of the winter dryness
Great, great review! Have you tried Tom Ford's traceless foundation: liquid and stick? Would love your take on that.
Karima! you look absolutely stunning! very spring appropriate )) My favorites are: charlotte's Lights wonder, armani luminous silk concealer (on no make up makeup days), tarte rainforest of the sea, and of course my trusty armani luminous silk which I baught after your recommendation couple years ago in Italy 🥲 (before pandemic )
Surratt Dew Drop is my favourite but Chantecaille cushion is a close second!
Karima, I do hope you'll do a drugstore follow up sooner rather than later, even though your videos ARE worth waiting for!
Love this video! Can’t wait for the drugstore version! I love Makeup Forever Reboot for my dry skin.
I ordered the Armani Luminous Silk last week, I can’t wait to try it 🥰
YSL Touche Eclat has been my favourite for years until they stopped bringing my shade to my country 🥲
This was sooo good! Absolutely loving Dior Forever Natural Skin & I have combo skin type. It's perfection!
Could you pleaseeee do a tutorial for this eye look? It is gorgeous!
Normal to combination skin - I love the new Givenchy Prisme Libre Skin-Caring Glow Foundation!!!
