I'm glad there are other companies coming out with direct mount optics, but I have to say that the Holosun SCS is the superior optic for direct mounting. It has a 2MOA green dot, titanium housing, solar charged, and has different reticle options. Not only that, but it is 50 bucks cheaper. Looks are subjective, but I also prefer the SCS. I do like that they are matching up with the slide serrations, makes them look like they properly belong on there.
For clarification, the Holosun SCS MOS is available with ONLY one reticle option: a green circle-dot (2moa dot & 32moa circle). Also, many are shipping with a crooked emitter (approx. 15 degree tilt) or the internal battery is DOA. Add to that, I’ve seen a slew of people recently claiming theirs is kaput after only one year. In my opinion, the SCS MOS is not ready for mass adoption. It’s proven to be riddled with problems and I won’t buy one until the X2 model is released and customers confirm the problems are resolved. Until then, it’s the EPS Carry for me.
No ability to change the battery is a dealbreaker. Batteries go bad, and I don't want to send my optic God-knows-where for them to change it when it does. Then there's the Holosun QC...
I used to think the same way. I finally had to change the battery in my RMRcc for the first time. Battery underneath, constant on, of course. The battery lasted 3.5+ years; it took me less than 10 minutes total to replace it, and zero was unaffected. I'm not trying to change your mind, roman, merely relating my experience.
It is so they can get the actual size smaller. If they had a battery on the top or side it would increase thickness and defeat the point. I used to hate this as well until I learned that. I found that you are more likely to have a battery cover unscrew or come undone and lose the dot than have the battery die on you. At least it is secure.
very cool idea. i wish everybody would just build slides that will take any red dot and not need to replace irons... god knows the first thing you do when you buy a glock is get different sights... and then trigger work(performance trigger). i would pay good money if they just sold them that way. just the same size and profile... but just alluminum
I think it looks nice, BUT it's $400, has the battery under, it uses a smaller battery that lasts 10k hrs (most have moved to up to 50K hr and easy access). One dot option, red 4moa.
Im kinda salty i ordered a performance trigger and the guy told me yall didnt have no stickers and the site said yall did and then you made a video saying you did. I want the stickers because i collect them anyway. Not very happy about being lied too
SCS over this all day long. No battery to change. Forward facing auto brightness that is the best in the business. Multi reticle system. And in my opinion, better aesthetics. Plus it’s 50 bucks less!
@ Mine has been on for 2 1/2 years and has never been shut off and hasn’t died. Holds zero just fine. Thousand of rounds and it shows no signs of quitting. Trying to figure out this liability you’re talking about. I have a been to classes where Aimpont ACRO P2’s have shit the bed that weren’t even 6 months old. And this little bastard keeps on going.
@@CitizenCarrier lmfao @ 2-1/2 years being a long time. That battery WILL shit the bed, and you WILL need to send your entire optic God-knows-where for it to be fixed. Anyone who has had the same phone for more than a a couple years knows what's up. 2 1/2 years lol. The wise aren't interested if the battery is not user servicable/replacable.
@@Sk4llik Did I say 2 1/2 years was a long time? No. Neither is 6 months for an expensive ACRO to die. That was my point of that part of the comment. Try paying attention. And clearly you don’t know what the SCS runs on because it’s not a battery like a cell phone you stupidly compared it to. I have been an electrician for the better part of years now and I know the difference between a battery and a super capacitor and their average life span. So try again, junior.
@@CitizenCarrier Models with supercapacitors still have a battery, the supercapacitor charges the battery. Do you expect anyone to believe holosun made a 10,000-200,000 hour life optic with no battery, only a supercapacitor? I cannot find any official literature that supports the claim that there is no battery in an SCS MOS. lol if you didn't consider 1-1/2 years to be a long time why did you bring it up? To waste your time in typing it and everyone's time in reading it?
Noblex/docter cut the cut yall love to hate 😂 idc my prodigy came with the hex which is the mentioned footprint..not a fake operator so it works for me
Why do optic companies feel the need to billboard their name all over the optic. Just give me a plain black optic to match my gun, I don't need an owl or a wolf or a dragon fly or whatever symbol on the side of my optic.... 🤦🏾♂️
Yall complain about everything 😂 except for having to paying 600 to trijicon for a bottom load optic or for a sro that caused fte on certain guns...I guess just black it out your self or pay to get it done
I don’t have an overpriced rifle sight on my handgun. I can already hit what I’m aiming at and am not stupid enough to fall for every new money making “look at my new toy!” scam. Thanks anyway.
Lenny the Legend! The "Macho Man" of, suns out,....guns out! Thank you for your service to all of us.

battery on the bottom - fail. companies are not learning. and no shake awake feature. at that price point, i expect more.
I like to see another direct mount dot for mos makes a more competitive market

But will go and buy a rmr 😂 600 and still a battery on the bottom
Love that two tone
Another good training video sir.
that green is so dope. Wish I could get one more easier. Such a pain in my state to find glocks.
Just send in my optic today G48 for the vortex defender ccw cut, cant wait
🪖🫡
Having an optic designed specifically for MOS compatibility could be a game-changer for quick mounting and sighting accuracy.
What kind of battery life? Is it on all the time or motion sensitive?
any guess on battery life times?
1:12 No!!
My Order Number was less than 20 spots away from winning!
I can see it right there! haha
not gonna lie that 2-tone with that green and the Gen 5 slide🪖🫡🔥
We said " well whose fault was that" at the same time in my head that was nuts 😂

Hey Interesting information and tutorial
Can we get a comprehensive video on non-MOS Glock users? What are our options for the cut and a low profile optic to co-witness with factory sights?

sounds like the guy lied just to steal a sticker on some "under the table" ish(that dude is a f'n bum ahh🖕🏿🖕🏿🤷🏿♂️a sticker bruh)
So will this fit a Springfield XD 10mm, or sit higher ?
Love your videos Lenny, thank you for promoting responsible firearm ownership. ✌🏻🇺🇸
How or where do you go to enter contest and will stickers?
On our website! glockstore.com
So it's a Auto adjustable brightness optic?
Sig Romeo X Compact Optic will direct mount on a 43X
I thought the Vortex Defender CCW fits directly on the Glock MOS as well... Am I mistaken?
you're not mislead.
Yes sir
How do I enter?
Through the door 🤔
All sweepstakes information available on our website.
Dang, bottom battery is a bummer.
Try explaining gun safety to alec baldwin.
Might be blanks😮
Yes ): fine :)
Cyelee optics are shake awake, have a side loading battery, and fit directly on 😂.
There's something very wrong when a red dot costs almost as much as my gun. Ridiculous!

I'm out.

This optic was outdated 5-6 years ago

That’s got to be one of the most unattractive looking red dots I’ve ever seen 😂
