Midnight Snack is definitely my favorite circle. I've also gifted at least 10 plants It seems to be the tasty tomato that keeps the neighbors returning with requests for more . Very productive very large I've raised 40 types in the past 4 season since I've had these always the largest plant. 2 almost fill a 16 ft.section of cattle panel and difficult to 12:12 reach I'm 6 ft.tall. I'm 6a Mid Ohio and they last until frost always healthy full plants. Must have plenty of space.. Black Brandywine is the best flavor for slicers. Black Krim is the best All around tomato I'm getting old and when I reduce to my last 2 plants that Midnight Snack also and Black Krim will be my last veggie garden. Thanks
@@JerrasGarden I'm been following sunflower leaving the roots in ground as cover crop then following with 2 seasons of tomatoes and with building up for drainage having great results.Bigger plants and tomatoes. I start out first space 4 tomato cages where I want 4 plants to grow.Yes the horrible famous tomato cages definitely the largest are needed.build the area 10 inches higher than surrounding areas and just turned over soil lightly adding leaves and other amendment in early fall next season put in giant sunflower where you want tomatoes to be planted. Raise the sunflower don't disturb soil again until next season to follow the sunflower with your tomato seedlings and bone meal and firtizer of your choice I'm really having larger plants and fruits and trying pepper seems to be great for me my first season with the peppers and looking good for them.
My favorite tasting and looking tomato I’ve grown so far is Thorburns Terracotta. It’s a beautiful dark orange (terracotta!) and sweet and juicy. I’m going to be looking for seeds of some of them in this video!
I‘m in Temple Terrace, I grew everglades tomatoes and one little sweetheart (waiting for the 2 tomatoes on it to ripen up still). I can‘t wait to try out the black strawberry cherry tomatoes this Fall 😊
@@jojocag1 I believe she's gifted as a taste tester Bolt corn Midnight Snacks tomatoes are our favorites as she's recommending. I have raised Honey Comb Hybrid tomatoes 4th season now she's trying them this season I'm interested in seeing her reaction they are nicknamed M & Ms in my circle of friends . We're loving her refrigerator pickles also.
since I'm a new gardener in FL zone 9b I really appreciate reviews like this. I've been looking for tomatoes that do well in a GreenStalk since I grow mostly in my 4 GreenStalks and grow bags. We're not big fans of cherry type tomatoes though so I'm going to try a Floridada. Will you be offering seeds for the Fat Jack? Thanks for all of your VERY helpful video! I've watched every single one of them since I found your channel.
I'm FL zone 10A so if I can grow them, you can too. So far, micro dwarfs and dwarf cherry varieties have grown very well. I tried growing some dwarf beefsteaks but they didn't do too well. The fruit didn't get as big as when I grow in a larger space. Even when growing in the larger original size planters. So I don't recommend growing any dwarf slicers or beefsteaks, determinants, and indeterminates in a GreenStalk.
I enjoy your tomato reviews. The only one I “grew” this year was Cesare’s Canestrino di Luca. For whatever reason the plants grew but no flowers developed. I pulled them up and the root system was very under developed. The other varieties I planted from seed did fine. Is it finicky?
I'm in Sarasota and I've never been able to grow any "big" tomatoes. Everglades is my go to, but not useful for anything except salads. I have had a "couple" Roma grow. I'm impressed with all the kinds you grow!
I’m in Tampa Zone 9B. Am having a hard time with whitefly right now. Completely infested my tomatoes seedlings I just planted. I tried to spray with a mix of water vinegar and dish soap but I think I made it too strong bcz now all the leaves are brown but the stalk is still green. What can I do? Should I start over? How do I prevent white flies? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I’ve been growing here for 3 yrs and never had this problem before.
I love tomato reviews! I grew Floradade for the first time this year. My reaction was similar to yours the flavor is okay. It did have good production so I decided to start seeds for fall harvest since we stay in the 90s through September so I'm hoping it will set fruit better in the heat since we quickly go from 90s to occasional frost in the fall. I also grew Black Beauty for the first time but wasn't impressed with either the flavor or production. I've been curious about Sart Roloise. I'll probably try it next year.
Awesome video ,as a Florida gardener I thank you for your content you provide great information that some other gardeners fail to mention. Thanks
" anthocyanin " good job, your tomatoes look so healthy
One thing it should be tomato law to cut across the tomato not top to bottom when doing a tasting video😅
I only grew a few varieties, but black krim and black cherry were my faves this year
Both are very good choices

I grew Midnight Snack a few years back. I'm growing Black Brandywine this season so excited about that. Black Krim grows very well for me too.

Some tomatoes does better in different zones so check local advice

I have grown it a few times and didnt have this issue. Was the growing conditions different in any way compared to the others?
I'm in Sarasota and I've never been able to grow any "big" tomatoes. Everglades is my go to, but not useful for anything except salads. I have had a "couple" Roma grow. I'm impressed with all the kinds you grow!
If I can do it here in Orlando, you can too
I have 4 of the purple GMO tomatoes growing. Nothing ripe yet here in zone 5b. patiently waiting.
They take a while to ripen up
cute emojis!
Thanks!

Do you grow all the seeds you sell?
Where did you buy those pavers under your GS ?
Home Depot but can find anywhere. They are 16 inch x 16 inch.
❤

Floradade is a good choice for sauce especially since its pretty productive
love your detailand all during the review but it relly grinds my gears that you cut them vertically instaed of around the equator 👺
No matter how I cut them, people make comments LOL. But generally a vertical cut shows more of the inside than horizontal.
