You may find where the bearings have galled or rusted pits in the groove they roll in. Check that before replacing them. Mine still growled with fresh bearings. Nice assortment of blowers.

That Lancaster Forge Blower sounds like a rock crusher. The crack, Preheat and warm then Brass braze the crack, then cover and slowly cool.

You also might want to drill a hole at the end of the crack to help stop it propagating.

Hi Jayce, Keith Rucker of Vintage Machinery on youtube did a restoration on a similar forge and blower. He also has done some usefull videos on brazing and repairing cast iron. Thanks for the videos , stay warm.

I have videos on welding many cast iron pieces on my channel. That being said something I have done but not show that you might do well with is gas welding a crack in cast iron. You can heat the housing evenly in a fire until dull glowing then then take an oxy torch and heat the area to nearly melting and use a piece of similar cast iron to melt and smear the crack back together much like tig welding. use borax for flux in the area. After welding allow try to heat whole thing up till red to stress relieve then allow to cool as slow as possible. This will give you an invisible repair after cleaning any overage up with a grinder and some rough sand paper.

That champion blower is freaking massive, I haven't ever seen one that large before. I'm jealous of that champion blower and forge, idk if I'd be to worried about that crack on it. Where's it going its far away from that fire pot. Nice collection man!!

Ya the crack doesn't concern me too much, I just don't want it to continue cracking if I move it around. It would suck to have it crack in half! The champion blower is huge, I guess it could be used to run four fires at once!

Yeah I could definitely see that big champion running multiple forges at once. It would be interesting to see how many CFM it pushes! I think if your reasonably careful with that forge you'll probably okay, could always drill a few holes and put a couple straps of steel across crack. That might help. Welding cast sucks and I've never had good luck.

Might be a number under the forge. That will be the model number
