Hello, I tried this painting technique and did great work. The bottom of my kitchen cabinets is great. Now, I don't know what to do with the top. Because the upper part is painted in a classic style and is very textured 😅. you are great, thanks

Upon unboxing, I was immediately upset at how the rails were very noticeably bent. But I kept going, all tools needed to assemble were included th-cam.com/users/postUgkxqtX4Dxs6aecAZEuz6GY5-d81YecKCshn and I had it set up in about 30 minutes. Honestly I love this thing, make sure to read the measurements and measure your space so you know if it'll work for you. I bought this to put inside my closet, underneath where I hang my clothes and it is absolutely perfect! It is VERY sturdy and all drawers glide easily and mine are stuffed, and they are still flush when closed.

Great tip, I hadn't heard of that one so maybe you did invent it! lol In exchange, I've got a tip for you! When working with dark finishes put a little of the dark paint into the polyurethane and mix. It makes for a more streak resistant application!! Hope you find this helpful (:

If you buff using 0000 steel wool after applying a few coats of polycrylic it will smooth out any texture leaving you with a glass-like smooth finish

I have used a wipe on method for years with perfect results even on high gloss kitchen cabinets. In a clean open bowl add oil based polyurethane 1 part and mix ½ of that amount with mineral spirits or xylene thinner clean the surface with a tacky cheesecloth then I use a thin cotton kitchen cuptale about a 4 x 4 folded to apply mixture in an up & down or side to side motion. Just do not apply thick coat & not smooth or you'll get a run. Let fully dry sand with 1000 or 2000 grip paper & clean /apply again then again at least 3 coats up to 6 depending on expected wear. Surface just as if professionally sprayed.

I do a similar thing. I paint all my furniture and apply poly topcoat with the dish sponges from dollar tree they come in the five pack. I have an extremely smooth surface, but I generally do multiple and thin coats!
The sponges work better with chalk paint, it’s ok with latex but requires the exact hand pressure and amount of paint.

I did this technique today and the results were great. Previously I used foam brushes...but they generate so much "foam" and don't cover as well so you have to work the product so much longer in the same area. Using these rollers resulted in a smoother finish with almost no need to sand between coats.

I just added poly to my black dresser yesterday and I used this technique. It did not go on as easily as yours does, felt very sticky. I used Minwax water based poly. Also, I had a LOT of bubbles! It almost looked soapy. I will sand with 400 today and put another coat on. Fingers crossed it looks good in the end!!!!

I use the Dixie Bell blue sponge that works pretty much like this sponge roller. the roller would be a better application for wide flat surfaces as it is wider than the round sponge. the sponge does have a shape to it that makes it great for moldings. li will use a sponge roller on the next project with flat drawers and on the long sides. But I will stick with Dixie Bell for the curved and inset pieces/drawer fronts.

You can just go all the same direction and it’ll turn out great, I’ve done it on a similar pair of side tables. If you wanted to you could do a thin coat of wood filler mixed with water like I did in the last video and that’ll give you more texture to cover the pattern, happy painting!

Just found you! I've watched 2 of your videos so far and I'm so inspired. Love your style and you have a nice voice, so you are easy to listen to. I've got a set of bedroom furniture that I've never liked the color, so I think I will repaint them! You make it seem really easy. I'll start with the nightstands before tackling the bigger pieces.
