Fun fact, Manta Rays have the nicknames of "Sea bat," and in the series from the 1980s known as The Centurions the aquatic combat specialist got a new combat system with an appearance similar to manta rays called "Sea Bat"

@@InfamousTrainer Happy to help; I'm also aware of some creatures from world mythology, legend, and folklore that could make for some interesting inspirations.
Also, if you haven't seen Centurions, I highly recommend you check it out, they got some fun future stuff that isn't really seen in depictions of the future that are more preferable in modern series. Besides, older more obscure series, at least by modern standards, are fun to go into for the potential inspirations they can offer.
@@InfamousTrainer Happy to help. And I'm aware of creatures from world mythology, legend, and lore that I haven't seen appear in any Pokemon properties. The same holds true with creatures in the real world, and a few other things.
Galvanize Fawneaf is a Water Type DESTROYER, I love it. Bubbat for Ash and Pyrunt for Ash's rival, PLEASE!

@@InfamousTrainer Idk why but I can see the Pyrunt of Ash's rival being the one who leaves the rival for Ash and therefore it just entices the rivalry even more. It's something out of Ash's control. This rival's new Starter Pokémon would end-up being the first-one he caught: the first-stage of Auralon's pseudo-legendary. Imagine if in Johto Ash's Totodile was once Silver's so he would raise a Tyranitar to later one battle Ash's Feraligatr. WE NEED THAT LEVEL OF DEPTH! We need to see Pokémon being treated as characters & individuals who make their own choices, not just a Trainer's extension. Either that or Ash would get Pyrunt but he joins the rival and that's how Ash gets Bubbat.
I really like the Fire Lizard and the Kung Fu Frog and I bet that they were evolve into something cool

HAHA EXACTLY! Can't wait for Sparking Zero and yeah as I stated on the pod, I knew it was going to be a starter and was working on him for some time and finalized for the pod! Can't wait to show off these evos! I think Jirbit remains my favorite!
The evos will go crazy I already know. I’m already visioning a regional variant with a longer head haha. The others look great too, digging Pyrunt and Pebbark. I know this is ironic considering my handle, but I’m picking Bubbat. Something about those eyes and sea foam wings. I want to go on my journey with Bubbat holding onto my head and feeling like their flying while I pick up speed.

Dude, this is an interesting concept. All six choices are so good, it's hard to choose just one. For the classic trio, I like Bubbat. For the new trio, Jirbit is my choice. If I could choose both of them, I would absolutely in a heartbeat. Bubbat has an adorable design and I find bats to be cool creatures. As for Jirbit, creating a fakemon based on what many people consider to be one of Dragon Ball's boring characters is an interesting idea. I would gladly have both of them as my two partners if allowed.

Personally I would go with the fighting type because I usually like fighting type Pokemon as for my second pick I would choose the water one

I’m torn between four of these starters Jirbit, Grifby, Pyrunt and Bubbat, all of them boast killer designs.
For the game I choose Pyrunt but if the others are unlocked after the main story I will catch the others because I would love to add them to my Pokedex.

I'm definitely choosing Pyrunt if these starters were real! I saw this boy in the thumbnail I fell in love with him! Most Fire Type Fakemons I've seen tend to go for a more reptilian design.
And it will continue here, I think it has one of the most unique forms and changes throughout!

Cool designs, no doubt, but Fire, Grass and Water are the only primary types for starter Pokémon. Hope they never change that.
Appreciate it of course but not the point. You, I or any other person making a region or Pokemon, are not Game Freak. The point is to have more fun with these regions and try other options that Pokemon wouldn't give you. This simple step of just different starters changes the trajectory of how you early game for region would go.
@@InfamousTrainer no doubt. We all have our own preferences about Pokémon games and what we enjoy about them. For me it’s the struggle of having to choose between three great starter Pokémon.

I don't have an answer for which one I'd pick right now as we've only seen the first stages.
Isn't that how all Pokemon games work? You usually see the first stage and make a choice. Unless you look at leaks? 👀
@@InfamousTrainer I don't look at leaks. But, the final stages are basically who you have for the rest of the game. But the first stages, you only have those until at least Level 16, and you have the middle stages until the 30's levels. But the final stages, they remain in most Trainers' arsenals for the rest of the journey. And I am speaking from an IRL perspective.
