Hey, whats your opinion on taking z8 select petrol AT? Considering it's gonna have long drives mostly on weekends only and I'm not sure if I'm gonna be in India after like 2-3 years.
Petrol = low maintenance and better power ?
But low mileage and less resale value, do factor that in too! Better get the diesel!

Not much, unless you are doing extensive off-roading in muck and slush, 4WD isn’t needed!

I am a proud owner of Scorpio N Z8 Diesel Automatic 4*4
Done over 50k kms in just over a period of 1 year. Very happy with the overall experience, very Drivers SUV with great balance on Off and On road performance.
Only a little technology is missing like Memory seats ( at least for the driver)
Ventilated seats though the air conditioner is very powerful.
And basic ADAS feachers
I think those features might come in the facelift!

@@FasBeam Sorry to interrupt, just replying because you asked it. I own Z8L 2WD AT Diesel and mileage is 10-12kmpl in city and 13-14kmpl on highways while cruising at 80-100kmph. Please share your views and mileage you are getting too.
Same Pinch… Same model.. 10-11 in City and 13-14 on Highway
Can push to 16 kmpl on Highway if one can drive Sedately or on Cruise control (80 kmph)

I want to get some input or comment on this 🤔 I found a merc e350 v6 w212 under 7lakhs with no wear and tear inside and outside and I researched and heard that this w212 is one of the most reliable mercs ever and since I want to drive this 1-2 times every week or less and since I do my own maintenace, maintaing it would be 15k per year so is it good to buy? And if anything goes bad I have 1 lakh to replace common issues (not from merc service centers)

The owner didn't had proof and all accident site revealed that it was due to impact.
If mahindra was at fault then the case shouldn't have limited to 1 or 2 cars as the cars are produced in batches and one defect means whole batch defected.
I was following that case too but now that owner is no where to be seen why didn't he do court case?

@@FasBeamI am a bit confused, is it worth to give away Scorpio N comfort for Gurkha's dif locks. Gurkha maybe best if only for light overlanding (light, because not much carrying capacity so you can't put too much overlanding gear) and maybe engine is more reliable of Gurkha, I don't know, please tell us about all manufacturers engines reliability in details, at what mileage problems of engine and gearbox starts. But if someone is mostly traveling normal, not much off-road, then maybe better Scorpio N, rear dif lock will be enough
