Giannis is to blame for all of this. The organization was pushing for Nick Nurse to replace Bud, but Giannis wanted Griffin for whatever reason. This is why you don't let players have too much control.
doc fooled the whole org. no one has costed off a chip, with a team that should have won 2 or 3 rings at least. garnett, pierce, allen, rondo in their prime....he underachieved but everybody still talks about that easy job he did. the players even said we coached ourselves and adjustments on the floor in the huddle. doc is a certified choker, loser
Garnett got injured year two and missed a whole season. That Celtics team could have achieved more but you can say that about alot of teams, Unfortunately Injuries held them back, once Lebron teamed up with Wade in Miami the window was completely closed on them and anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional. I find Doc's failure's since then much more damning personally
This video was more so a retelling of why he’s come to be polarizing not necessarily what makes him a bad coach. If you wanna know, it comes down to a handful of things. Such as his personal management, late-game decision making, and locker room presence. Mainly intangible things cause truthfully Rivers is a good Xs and Os coach.
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! I have a quick question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
Pistons fan here, and Rick Carlise didn't outclass Rivers. Out of desperation, he finally played Tashaun Prince after 2 DNPs. Prince turned out to be one of the greatest perimeter defenders in history who shut down Kobe the next year in the 2004 Finals, with Phil Jackson failing to make any adjustments. The #1 seed Pistons had 4 times the talent as the Magic even before inserting Prince. Magic Tenure Grade: A Taking the champion Miami Heat to 7 games in the ECF with 36-year-old Ray Allen, 35-year-old KG, and 34-year-old Paul Pierce was impressive. And the Celtics were the favorite to repeat before KG had a playoff-ending injury, and then, in Doc's 3rd year, they took Kobe to 7 games. Celtics Tenure Grade: A He blew it twice in LA but was never the best team in the West. Lob-City only had 2 All-Stars, and I think all but 1 year, either Paul or Griffen was out with an injury when eliminated. Clippers Tenure Grade: C Philly had some of the biggest headcases and playoff chockers in history, whether Doc was their coach or not. Philly tenure grade: ????? I don't even know how to grade any coach with the Ben Simmons situation and his two all-time great players, Harden and Joel, being all-time great choke artists. It's why I could never fault Jerry Sloan for never winning a title with Karl Malone. I'm not a Doc Rivers fan, but just providing some valid counterpoints to what's become a one-sided runaway narrative.
I agree with everything you but I do disagree with the Carlisle point. For the most part, the pistons were in most of those first three games they lost and I believe it simply came down to Chauncey picking up his play plus their all out commitment to stopping McGrady and letting the others beat them. I also think throwing an unproven, rookie Prince into the fire is a great example of Rick adapting which ended up being the difference between him and Rivers that series. Yes, the pistons were 10x more talented, but given Rivers track record, not adjusting has been a major critique of this coaching throughout his career so I can’t give him a pass. Which is why I said he was out coached. But, I understand where you’re coming from. Not to mention Carlisle has had his own share of coaching mishaps.
The funniest thing is that the Celtics won the championship in 2008 DESPITE Doc and not because of him. The Clippers and 76ers runs show how terrible he is at adapting tactics throughout playoff series'.
The top 15th greatest coach of all time don’t need the Milwaukee Bucks. The Bucks need Doc Rivers. They were so scared of losing him they had to snatch him asap…depriving other team of his talents.
@@StainMasters Milwaukee Bucks 2025 first rounder: Traded to Nets (top-four protected) or Pelicans (5-30 protected). wow, nets if 1-4, pelicans if 5-30....they cant even tank🤦♂
if u watched the games, they never was winning bc of griffin they was winning strictly off talent. he wasn’t the long term solution next to dame nd giannis
To be honest with you as bad as a coach doc Rivers is he always gets his team to the playoffs he chokes in the postseason so you can't blame him for you guys sucking he always gets to the playoffs so if anything I blame the honest and all the players
You can't hang your hat on winning one ring and having a negative record in the playoffs because the playoffs are where it matters the most I don't give a crap if he keeps getting 3 1 leads cause he keeps blowing those leads. This man should not be getting jobs as a coach ever. Why the NBA seems to think he's worthy of being a head coach anymore's way the hell beyond me.
The transition from griffin to rivers is snazzy
Welcome back man. He seems to be better for rebuilding teams than contenders (4 hof superteam Celtics could be the exception)
Should’ve never fired Bud
Giannis is to blame for all of this. The organization was pushing for Nick Nurse to replace Bud, but Giannis wanted Griffin for whatever reason. This is why you don't let players have too much control.
Nick Nurse isn't even doing good either in Philly
lol and here's nurse leading the worst team in the nba with 3-13 in philly...and by the way, Mamimi Tanaka sucks, Chiyuki Kuwayama better

They were up 3-2 on the lakers and were one quarter away from a 2nd championship
Garnett got injured year two and missed a whole season. Garnett was past his prime.
They were old. They were not in their primes except for rondo. He was young. He wasn't in his prime yet
Finally another Stain
One of the most overrated coaches in NBA history I call him doc Shivers because he panics and clutch situations
Rivers has the most inappropriate/ unfit/dumbest nickname in sports - drop it, his name is Glenn
Another great video your content is too good
please keep it up bro your content is amazing
Thank you
You weren't specific about what's bad about his coaching. Yeah he loses but why?

Should've kept Coach Griffin now it's backfiring 🔥

I mean beginning of this season they weren’t winning because of coaching or talent lol
I feel bad for you that you watched every game LOL
They’re fun to watch when they win
@StainMasters giannis is a beast man guy leaves everything on the court I can see him being from the watch for sure coming from a die-hard celts fan

I bet you because of popovich’s failing health, this guy is already eyeing the spurs job.
The Bucks deserve every bit of what they’re getting for firing Mike B. No respect for that organization at all!
