- Skied the Commonwealth couloir in Kananaskis (May 23.) 2 years ago Geoff and I tried to ski this line from the bottom up and were turned around at the first big step. This time we went back for redemption and summited Commonwealth peak before dropping into the line from the top. Stoked to have finally skied this classic K country big line!

Top of that couloir where you entered and the walk along the ridge line in were crazy dangerous. Those first couple of edge slips before you dropped in.

You're the kinda guys that need to learn to paraglide. Make these sorts of missions into combo days. Easy exit gliding out.

I don't ski, but I really enjoy climbing couloirs and then taking a trail back down. Pure snow climbing. Is there a trail on this mountain that opens up in spring when the snowpack is safe and hardens up?
Nice work boys - seemed like a lot of work to get down the line though - good thing you had a pin with you. Try the Shelf at the Pass if you haven't done so yet - better skiing and less muking around with gear once you've done the inital rap to enter the line- although that is part of the adventure ... 🙂

Chłopaki , to nie był zjazd na nartach , tylko zjeżdżanie na linie . Ne macie się czym chwalić . To nic nie warte . Spróbujcie zjechać kuluarem z Augille du Midi (Chamonix ) ,. To jest prawdziwy zjazd , ekstremalnie trudny .

What length of rope did you use? I was also turned away on this line trying to climb up it directly, id love to go back and get it all! Nice work.
We used 2 30m sections but on better snow years u can get away with 30m

Why not hike up the ski line? Pretty impressive hike without the rope and reusing someone else's old lines.

Not that worried your pretty secure to the slope with crampons and ice axes. And we did not leave the ropes behind you rappel on 2 strands and then pull one at the bottom
