a little bit of correction Ainz Ooal Gown is a Guild, in the game clan and guild are different, a Clan is basically a group of players with no base of operation, and a Guild has a base of operation. They were a clan once known as Nine's Own Goal, but transitioned into guild after growing to 26 iirc, and then officially became a guild when they conquered Nazarick.

If you are foolish enough to invade Nazarick, be prepared for attrition warfare. Everything in there but the throne room at level 9, is designed to weaken the invaders, force them to waste resources and winnow their party. The first three floors are filled with trash mobs. Things that are spontaneously generated by the Tomb itself. From skeletons to liches , they all target your weakest members. Shalltear is the ideal snipper / unknowable threat, which is why she knows gate. You will lose support units , as well as the weakest combatants. Not insurmountable, for a party of level 100 players, but it is not meant to be. From the undead of the first three levels , you find your self in the frozen hell Cocytus calls home. Area damage is the norm, and while Cocytus is weak on defence, you have to reach him first. Good luck finding him in a frozen landscape with no landmarks. Cocytus is at home there and can attack as he sees fit. he can single out a member of your party, or take out a small group. Not insurmountable for the experienced player, but again it is not meant to be. It is designed to reduce your numbers further, waste resources and force you to use your abilities to their maximum. Understand that every thing this far down is designed to boost your confidence and draw you deeper. From then on. things get serious. From 4th floor down, the real threats start. More .. on the second part. No whinnying please, don't be greedy. A synopsis of the defences of Nazarick and their purpose, is not an easy thing.

I don't think it was they got a buff, its just the environment was suited to their combat style or they weren't debuffed. Floor 5 was an icy tundra but Cocytus isn't affected by the cold like an invader may be. Aura and Mare fight really well in a forest environment, so that's what floor 6 is.

Probably players in the number one guild but those who we know about are in order Rubedo(sister of albedo resides in 8th floor) Touch me(world champion class) After that it's variable list cuz despite being weaker than shalltear ainz still beat her
@@bullymaguire5838 nah Ainz ooal gown was in top 30 with only 41 members and they wernt even active they were also known as the strongest defensive base and in their prime,with only 41 members they were top 9 so i doubt anyone aside from the actualy number 1 player is stronger than Rubedo Touch Me was also top 3 in the verse, excluding Rubedo who would make him top 4

@@shalltearsservants if you like you can go over and look up spawn powers and abilities and feet's and have him measure up to the floor guardians and ainz himself, and see if ainz consider him a ally or threat and how spawn would react to this, I would love to see that and it'll probably help you get lot of subscribers from spawn fans

One of the things that bothered me about Overlord is that the floor guardians on the whole just don't feel any more powerful than Ainz. I know that Ainz is meant to be have top tier equipment but even so I feel that any sort of raid of competent level 100 players should make light work of the guardians outside of Gargantua and Rubedo assuming that their floors don't buff them massively to raid boss standards.
It was only ever the 8th floor that could stop the large-scale threats. When 1500 players attacked Nazarick, 1200 made it to floor 8 but all of them fell on the 8th floor. The floor guardians aren't all that strong against any competent group, they just seem so powerful because the new world is so weak.

Do you know if has ever been elaborated as to what is on the 8th floor, I know victim is there but that is it as far as I have seen.
No problem. The other floors may not have taken out many players, but it would have been a good way of draining resources like health potions and drain mana etc which gives the 8th floor a better chance of beating the threat. Not to mention the mental tole of getting through 7 hellish floors and still not being done. Im doing a video for Tuesday on floor 8. We know a few details here and there but you can get a pretty good idea of how the floor works from the small pieces of info we know. We know the main power of the floor comes from one of the npc's and a "hierarchy" and can make guesses from there
@@markstewardson4006 Nazarick was designed as a dungeon, and the Guild took it over and made it an ultimate dungeon, designed to wither away at the hopes and inventories of competent players while the guild leaders observed the fights and learned anything about World Items or hidden tricks the attackers might have. The first few floors aren't meant to destroy and repel everything, they're meant to deal with specific situations and cause measures to be taken. Once you make it to floor eight, you're either on your last legs or extremely lucky and by then you're dealing with the actually dangerous individuals who now know everything you've pulled so far and have heard any intel you might have spilled in conversation.
Their evilness is based off of their karma rating, so the most evil NPC's are any with -500 karma rating. The only two i know of are Demiurge and Albedo. Shalltear is -450 so is still pretty evil but not the lowest her karma can go. Ainz also has a -500 karma and Touch-Me is the only being i know to have +500 karma.
@@yaboiplank6764 You're right, Sebas is 300. We don't know Pestonya's as we don't have her character sheet yet which is where we get them all from. Third highest I know is 150 and that's Yuri Alpha but I would imagine Pestonya is easliy 200+ and I would imagine Nigredo's is quite high too. Neuronist is -425.
Each floor guardians seems to complement each other in a way, also there are area guardians as well like negrido under cocyutos 5th floor.... during the season 1 intro, was that 1st floor of the tomb? which means they have never been conquered pass 6th floor?
It's a fair point although Nigredo was more oriented towards intelligence gathering than combat. The invasion of 1500 players back on Yggdrasil did reach the 8th floor. It's always possible the Aureole teleported them back to the first floor for the final encounter.

Don't the different floors buff the guardians in ways that turn them into raid bosses?
