The greed kings were much stronger than 64. The elf king is at minimum level 70. And he can summon his primal earth elemental which is level 80+ and his father who was one of the 8 greed kings could beat it handily similar to Ainz which would probably make him at least level 90 but considering the average Ygdrissil players level he was likely level 100 as well.
And considering they all slaughtered so many dragon lords and Surshana, it's likely they were level 100 or at least above 90.It would be nice to know their level for certain though.
Pretty much, they took out a lot of their main competition and set up the magic system in their favour. Ainz's job would have been a lot harder without them.
1. To be specific, Five Elements Overcoming had the effect ti where it allowed you to make a request directly from the devs to change a part of a magic system Like when a player in Yggdrasil used it so Wands could hold 9th Tier Spells when previously they couldn't. Interestingly there is a World Item called Ouroboros, a ring, that has an even more powerfull effect to where it can make a request directly from the devs to change ANY part of the game, tho the devs would have to negotiate so it wouldn't break the damn game. Such as when a rival Guild used the item to lock Ains Ooal Gown and any ither Guild out of an entire world in Yggdrasil for a MONTH so they could pick it clean of rare resources Although, obviously, in the New World there *are no* devs, community managers or GMs. Translating these items into reality warping weapons of mass destruction 2. An argument could be made that the Six Great Gods could be the ones that introduced the Tier System. As it would give humanity a fighting chance, which seems more in line with their goals Meawhile, it seems almost illogical for the 8 Greed Kings to introduce a system that would give the people that *they're trying to conquer* an advantage Then there's the possible third option that Tier Magic didn't work *period* and only Items and Skills did. So either could have introduced it as a way to regain the upper hand over the various monsters in the New World. 3. I actually really like the idea of the Guild Weapon for the 8 Greed Kings being a total mess. Since the Guild Weapon is a reflection of the guild itself, it makes total sense that one created by a Guild so dysfunctional would barely be suitable for the one thing its supposed to be used for (i.e swords are *literally designed* to slash) 4. To add on top of my previous point, considering The Elf King's personality and his goals ,it just adds to the idea of the that all of the members of the Guild were messed up and/or weird in some way and passed it on to any children they might have had. Especially if they really had a harem-esque hierarchy as mentioned. PS: fixed some grammatical errors
I know that a group of players tried to change the magic system with 5 Elements Overcoming in the game but didn't want the effects to effect their guild but it was so hard to implement, it ended up affecting everyone and the players got an apology note. Those world items now are ridiculous as theoretically there is no limit to the request that can be made. The elf king kind of reminds me of the Brightness Dragon Lord, but more focused on power than just going for all kinds of random creatures.
Arcadia q&a 3112 9-29-2011 Maruyama practically confirms it was the 8 greed kings. He said 500 years ago, the laws of the worlds magic were greatly warped and being able to use tier magic began appearing
On the subject of Ouroboros, I someone theorize that the Six Great Gods were the one’s to use it. Reason being that a lot of people tend to forget another interesting anomaly within the New World, the strange natural auto-translate function. For when Ainz got isekai-ed, he noted that while he could understand what the people met were saying, their lips didn’t match the words he was hearing. Furthermore the auto-translate seems to only translate the New World’s language when it’s being spoken, since Ainz couldn’t read the request on the Adventurers Guild’s bulletin board. So what could have happened was the Six Great Gods came, realized that they could still use their skills and abilities, but couldn’t understand the people. So they used Ouroboros to allow them to communicate with the humans they protected.
Actually the Six Great Gods are most likely the ones that introduced Tier Magic first, as the Slane Theocracy have said that the Six Great Gods were the ones that saved Humanity and passed on their power and knowledge. It more likely didn't become wide spread until the Eight Greed Kings came and further spread the magic. I like to think they did this as a means for each to raise an army to fight the others in their civil war or for their own protection. This last part is just my opinion though. Edited to add: Also the Thirteen Heros had 2 players, not just one. The leader was a player but his best friend was also one and they both died. Platinum said that the leader rejected resurrection because he felt guilt for killing his friend. I believe that Platium tricked the leader's friend into tying to kill him so that whoever won would be weakened and Platinum could kill the winner himself. Then he could just make up any lie he wanted to the rest of the Heros and no one would be the wiser. This is all light novel btw.
That makes sense, the 6 Great Gods would just be regular humans without access to their own tier magic and explains how humanity was allowed to flourish and survive from being on the brink of extinction. PDL would have just wanted players out of the way by this point and that would allow him to kill them off while not making enemies of the other heroes.
6:10 I’m pretty sure that PDL killed that player because that player felt a lot of pain and sorrow that he killed his friend he was probably a berserker class (evil eye did say one of the 13 hero’s was the weakest until he had gain extraordinary power or he gain a lot of power but it was he downfall and she tells this to climb in order to warn him not to lose his humanity in order to gain power because he can’t level up anymore) and thus PDL killed that player because that player couldn’t live on as someone who killed his friend and pleaded PDL to kill him and not resurrect him , PDL said that his hand is stain with blood when he considered killing the leader of red drop in order to gain his armor but didn’t do because of resurrection magic , he also said to that old granny from blue rose that if only they could have obtain more information on players before killing that player that wanted death , and he didn’t want to resurrect him and ask him questions because he promised him not to resurrect him

In YuGiOh any draw 2 card is pretty strong so pot of greed is on the banned list and has been since the first ban list. There are now alternative, that let you draw 2 cards but for a heavy cost like banish 10 cards face down.
I know someone probably already pointed this out, but the 8 Greed Kings could have possibly been 8/9 world champions, the 9th obviously being Touch Me. If not then yeah the 8 Greed Kings could have been just regular level 100 players.
Alredy commented, but fun fact: There is, as of me writting this, a game series, a live action movie (2018) and a LN/Anime/Upcoming movie ALL titled *Overlord* that have NOTHING to do with each other The closest are the games, which have you play as well... an Overlord, that conquers the world in a fantasy setting. Albeit , depending on your choices, you could be the lesser of 2 evils. Whereas the 2018 movie is a straight up WW2 zombie flick, with the Nazis developing a serum that essentially turns people into fully sentient and high-functioning zombies. (Think Marvel Zombies)
I actually used to own the overlord Game for DS. It was kinda weird but fun, although the DS port was probably very different from the main series game. I haven't seen anything to do with the film, very interesting, thanks for sharing.
@@shalltearsservants I know this is kind of veering into an unrelated topic lol , but in the mainline games you would control an Overlord that would become stronger the more you progressed and explored (RPG style) complete with a Sauron-esque design, but the main meat of the gameplay was controlling your horde of minions to pillage & loot, solve puzzles, fight enemies & bosses ( which were essentially puzzles in of themselves half the time)and carry large items for you. It would start off simple but , over time, the different minion types and progressively stronger enemies actually made the game very heavy on strategy and planning as well as using the resources available to you to rhe best of your ability. Add on top of that fantasy parody humor, fun personalities for the protagonists,a story/lore that actually touches on some really cool concepts on the codependece of good and evil and you have quite the underrated gem of a franchise (I'd talk more about the last point as it really is suprisingly cool, but I don't wanna bore you XD) Although I'll admit, on paper, it sounds like a jumbled fustercluck of ideas when you put it all out there, but it all just works *suprisingly well*

He founded the Argland Council State and is one of their 5 Dragon Councilors, but his actual residence is the 8 Greed Kings former base as it allows him to prevent their old gear getting into the wrong hands.
Great video man. Question who do you think is stronger? Nazarick or eight greed kings. Honestly I believe Nazarick is but curious to know your opinion.
Pretty sure Nazarick is stronger by a landslide. They have at least 11 World items, which is far more than any other guild in the game. They also have Rubedo, who is believed to have been created by a world item. She is stronger than Touch Me who is World Champion Class and one of the strongest players in Yggdrasil. In addition to this the 8th floor of Nazarick once defended against a 1500 man raid.
I would go with Nazarick, if floor 8 alone could take out 1200 players in Yggdrasil, then Nazarick should have more than enough resources to take out the Greed Kings. If Rubedo is stronger than the world champion Lord Touch me, then with a little support, she should have no issue taking the Greed Kings out.
cool video but it might be cool to add some background music. also the use of other anime clips as background footage is sometimes trippy so I would just use overlord footage only.
Thank you for the feedback, its a good idea. The main reason I have other animes is because sometimes they're just better for the point being made, especially topics that never got coverage. I will admit, some of them were unnecessary though. I'll consider that, or at least only using less starkly contrasting animes.
My theory is that the 8 greed kings are not that bad and the dragons are the ones who are bad and they wanted to wipe out all the 8 greed kings so that humanity will not have a fighting chance due to the 8 greed kings introduction of tier magic system the dragons might tamper the history or changed it totally
It makes sense. The dragons lost most of their power as a result of the greed kings, they went from being uncontested to one the point of extinction by the end so they would have wanted to reclaim that power they once held regardless of the nature of those that caused the power shift. Given their life spans it wouldn't be hard for them to modify history in their favour either. It's a good theory, I like it.
season 4 skips light novels 12 &13 as they will be covered by the movie. Season 4 covers 14 so it would be 15 and onwards thats beyond season 4. A lot of details do get skipped throughout all the series so you can start anywhere and gain extra insight if you wanted.
I see this as a comedy , if 1500 maxed lvl players cannot invade nazarick then i don't think dragonslords who need to group up to kill few players is able to defeat nazarick or ainz.
Pretty much. The same applies to the whole world though. If the dragonlords where the strongest beings originally and they needed to group up to kill the greed kings, literally the only thing that could ever pose a threat is a player on Lord Touch-Me's level. And thats assuming Nazarick didnt just swarm them and take advantage of their numbers.
Nazarick is unbelievably strong on defense, but not unbeatable. It was 8 guilds so it was at max 800 players with the rest being mercenary npcs who aren’t great combat wise. The author stated that if 100 top tier players assaulted nazarick, it would fall Besides, these are beings with powers rivaling world items. If the situation turns out…

While we couldn't say for certain, its quite likely Ainz would beat them all in a 1v1. His sheer ability to adapt to threats, abuse cash shop items and his heavy PK experience would play an important role. Plus we know Ainz is lvl 100 and while we don't know the levels of the others, but they can't be a higher level. There is, as of me writting this, a game series, a live action movie (2018) and a LN/Anime/Upcoming movie ALL titled *Overlord* that have NOTHING to do with each other
The closest are the games, which have you play as well... an Overlord, that conquers the world in a fantasy setting.
Add on top of that fantasy parody humor, fun personalities for the protagonists,a story/lore that actually touches on some really cool concepts on the codependece of good and evil and you have quite the underrated gem of a franchise (I'd talk more about the last point as it really is suprisingly cool, but I don't wanna bore you XD)
Although I'll admit, on paper, it sounds like a jumbled fustercluck of ideas when you put it all out there, but it all just works *suprisingly well*
@@filipvadas7602 I see very interesting, thanks for letting me know. I remember the puzzle aspect but don't really remember anything else about it.
Thanks for reading the light novels so we don’t have to
No problem, glad you find it useful.
bruh you missin out
I haven't read them but i listened to them all via audiobook its amazing like a story being told i imagen sitting next to a campfire being told the story about the past
You don't have to but goddamn are they well written.
@@shalltearsservants I've been looking for these so called LN's but I can't find them 😭
I think they mentioned the weapon was Rapier - it was good at stabing sword with little to no slashing options - also they Mentioned The Elf was a ''Fencer''
4:35 isn’t platinum dragon lord at the Argland council?
He founded the Argland Council State and is one of their 5 Dragon Councilors, but his actual residence is the 8 Greed Kings former base as it allows him to prevent their old gear getting into the wrong hands.
I see! Thnx for explaining!
@@haileyliao8938 Right, I’ve read the light novels and I agree that Nazarick wins no problem too. I just was curious about others opinions as well.
0:13 a TS female!
Another solid video… thanks for the info. It’s perfect for normies like me.
Thank you very much, no problem, glad I could help.
Ninez owl gown without momonga is eight. I wonder if the greed kings were his comrades?
where do you start in the light novel after you finsih season 4 ive been trying to get into the light novel since season 2 i just dont where to start
season 4 skips light novels 12 &13 as they will be covered by the movie.
The author stated that if 100 top tier players assaulted nazarick, it would fall
Besides, these are beings with powers rivaling world items. If the situation turns out…
@@-Apoptos- no it was more than 1500 players. Many of the top guilds were federations of smaller guilds eg trinity was 3 guilds consisting of thousands of players, the downside was decision making was tedious.
@@licensed_beheader no it was not more than 1500 players, it was more than 1500 players, mercenaries, and npcs. Eight guilds took part in raiding nazarick, and guilds have a max of 100 players. Where did you get that trinity has thousands of players?
How cime you can use guild weapon if you r not the guild master....you cant
NoIce
Why is pot of greed there?
Greed Kings, they both have greed in their name. Pretty much the only reason
@@shalltearsservants Awww, I was half hoping it would be revealed some of those players played Yu-Gi-Oh before getting stuck in this other world. So I watched the whole thing and didn't find it. That wouldn't be likely considering copyright, but hey Overlord made a cameo as an advertisement for the anime in Youjo Senki (it's in episode 2 right before the nameless guy gets hit by train).
@@alex_zetsu It's not outright mentioned but Kazuma from Konosuba played YuGiOh in the original world. They got around the copyright by saying the game in Kazuma's new world was very similar to one in his old, with monsters spells and traps or something like that.
Hmm
I think web novel part's are interesting 🧐
Its quite interesting to see the differences between the two. Sometimes the differences can be pretty huge.
Wait a minute so does that mean 100s of years only equal a few in years
Can any of the six great gods and 8 greed kings (all fully arm) can match ainz fully arm 1 vs 1 or 6/8 vs ainz and guardians (all fully arm)?.
If you bring the floor guardians into it, the others don't stand a chance, thats an extra 7 level 100 characters, 8 with Albedo, which outnumbers them before we even start. Not to mention between them they cover every scenario, Shalltear 1v1s, Mare is focused on team fighting etc.
@@shalltearsservants well said... even though this is kinda a repetitive argument, I just want to inform others that no one in the new world can ever beat Nazarick, even if they combined their forces... NOTHING... EVEN IF YOU PUT THOSE BUNOS VOLUME ENTITIES, NOTHING WILL CHANGE.. THEY WILL DIE IN THE END....
@@shalltearsservants I actually doubt that. Based on the abilities we know they have multiple of them are at least level 100. The elf kings father was one of the 8 greed kings and was able to easily beat his sons level 80 earth elemental . Also they had revival magic and cash items from their rings not as good as Ainz but still. The wind god of the 6 great gods was able to make siege golems like gargantua . And Surshana being the strongest of the 6 gods was definitely level 100 as he had the overlord class like Ainz and the eclipse class. He also had the skill The Goal of Life is Death. So his build was very similar to Ainz in terms of necromancy . And his scythe allows a multitude of spells.
@@vladpete2764 we actually do know the levels of some . The elf king was level 70 his golem was 80+. His father one of the 8 freed kings could beat the golem handily similar to Ainz so that’s a minimum 10 level difference to dominate like that. And the elemental was a primal one much stronger than a normal earth elemental. So it’s likely he’s level 100 with a minimum of 90. And we know Sushana was level 100 because he had the same overlord class as Ainz and the eclipse job class filled out as he has the skill the goal of all life is death.
@@historyking9984 thank you, im reading ln now just to fill me details... I hope this coming war against theocracy, everything will fall into place... Looking forward to it...
