This was really informative, as a newer player hadnt thought that much about using the fighters to delay placement of my larger ships. Also interesting paint scheme on your rebel ships, I particularly liked the Liberty's.
I love these videos where you just give us some basic useful strategy.

Ultra squadron commander challenge battle: regular point costs, but at least 50% of the used points have to be squadrons and the only ships are small bases. "This is where the fun begins."
Good advice for a new player
Great educational video! I liked your video on which ship to buy first, what if you went a step further and talked a little about starting to buy duplicates? I also like the idea of placing obstacles strategically, as mentioned in another comment.

Great I formation. I look forward to more armada videos. It feels like it have not been getting much love from FFG lately.
There is some confusion as to the rules being discussed. In the normal, core rules, you alternate placing a ship and squadrons as one deployment. In this video, however, Crabbok is using the tournament rules which allow you to place EITHER a ship or two squadrons as one deployment. A fairly significant change.
You should make a video highlighting some of your favorite fleets, maybe one for rebels and one for imperial? Have seen your BRs but would love to see your favorites!

He's using the tournament rules. They are different from the normal, core rules.

I like deployment discussion, I find it a difficult part of the game.
Can you do a video about how many of each expansion you have and the number you'd recommend?
Do you have any videos about spacing or flying in formation? I played Armada for the first time in a long while the other day, and my opponent and I spent a good chunk of the first two rounds bumping into our own ships. I know there are tricks to avoid this in X-Wing. Are there any similar tricks in Armada?
Commenting to participate! But also, unrelated to the video per se: I saw how the squadrons fall off the stand all the time. I’m just getting to paint my squadrons. How do you feel about glueing them to the stand? Is that something people do? I’m considering grabbing canopy glue (the kind modelists use on car and plane canopies) so it won’t fog the clear plastic and glueing them.
Also great video! I only play with one friend locally (in saint Pete, close to you!), so we still make rookie mistakes cause we basically taught ourselves. This is great help.

How do you deploy a squadron-less fleet to complicate for fewer deployments? You can't always avoid your opponent's stall.

Lots of cheap ships, for both sides the cost of the cheapest flotillas are less then the cost of 3 TIE fighters or Headhunters. Not as cost effective, but flotillas have their own advantages. The upgrades are cheap so they don't have to be purely a stalling tactic.

Not really, because X-Wing deploys according to pilot skill. That aspect is VERY different.

You are correct. In the core rules you place a ship and squadrons together as one deployment. The rules Crabbok is discussing are the tournament rules.
