I think Tata has done a good job by introducing Twin Cylinder CNG kits which would promote it even more as compared to before especially when it was a disadvantage when it comes to space before....
Yes that's why i purchased TATA Altroz iCNG.
Every cng car is a live bomb. And twin cylinder car is sitting on a twin bomb.

I want to add one more point. Actually while buying a new car, most of the people calculates whether it will worth to spend 1 lacs extra on a CNG vehicle or not. And this calculation always favors the petrol option as most of the Indian thinks " Car to ghar pe khadi hi rehni hai, kahi family ke saath aana jana hoga tab hi chalegi, lac rupay me to 10 saal ka petrol aa jayega"......
👌👌👌👌
Those who buy diesel cars for regular use.i think they are buying CNG now.because diesel cars ka future andhkara main hain.

Car free city is solution
2 Major Cons of CNG cars are skipped here, Loss of power which is around 17% and Decrease in Engine life. we have owned CNG car for 10 years and power loss is significant many times we had to switch off at highways for overtake and also in many states CNG price is very close to petrol which will not help in saving any cost.
In 2014 cng price was 35-40
In Kolkata 91.77 rs 😂😂😂😂😂
Uttar Pradesh
Petrol 96.57
CNG 93

CNG and Hybrid-petrols should be the top pick for buyers in India whose daily usage is under 50kms/day.
The reasons it is taking longer in CNG line, because passanger transport like rickshaw who use them and they are too many in number and they run daily for long hours.. hence they frequently fill it
I'm currently using CNG car and all the points u mentioned were pretty accurate. We need innovation like tata i cng everything else seems fine .
A friend of mine went to a CNG station to refill, haven't heard back from him since.

Prakash, this is one of the best researched, analysed and presented videos I have come across, on the subject. I hope there will be millions of views. I will do my best to share it with many. Thanks.
Cng is good alternative to petrol for future purposes.
*Manufacturers CNG cars automatic me kyu nahi launch karte!?* 🤔
Because both fuel require defferent ECU and head tuning, also CNG produce less torque than Patrol , so gear changing time and requirements are defferent in CNG compare to Petrol.
In short, Providing Automatic with CNG is more complicated.
So same Automatic transmission can not work well with both fual.
Automatic with CNG increase too much cost of car
@@pm9216I do not agree i have a tata nexon automatic, I fitted CNG and it works fine like petrol.

Much awaited video,
I want to add one more point here, as cng is bio gas and can be generated from waste material it is more green and better for environment as waste undergoes decomposition and forms organic fertiliser that is good for agriculture and green earth
Government should increase production of cng and incentivise this project
As cng plants cost around 5 crore for a setup and a single big plant can fulfill need of whole district
As 5cr is a big amount so if some support is provided via government than this can become boon for future generations

In Odisha CNG is equally priced with Diesel....that's why CNG isn't practical in Odisha
CNG give more mileage and less polluting fuel
Still mileage keeps on.

I have the same opinion as you have. CNG is better than electric, at least for now. But we need a CNG car with automatic transmission
Difference between diesel and CNG is very less in most states. Diesel has a lot of advantages like range, power, boot, availability and long life of engine. CNG did make sense when it was under 50 but not now according to me.
yes....but over the time govt will anyway try to reduce diesel consumption** I mean for the pollution stuff problems...and I think no one will buy diesel cars then
Ek baat batao bhaisaab yeh Goods carrier hai public buses , govt buses, heavy vehicles yeh to petrol CNG pe nahi chalegi , railways pe diesel engine abhi bhi chalraha..diesel pe hi chalna hai to insabko. Then what is the logic of govt to ban Private diesel cars which are regularly serviced and maintained upaar se pollution certificate banwate hai? Kya logic hai insabka? Literally I am confused !
Diesel gariyo ka koi future nahi hain.yehi reality hain. suzuki VW Skoda already stopped making any diesel cars.other manufacturer also discontinued diesel model for ex- i20, Innova diesel.

@Biturbo Media There is one more problem, CNG is not cheap in most of part of country, it is costlier than Petrol.
Another hurdle for after market CNG kit is that, RTO fee for registration is very high in KA.
Govt should waive off the fee or it should be very low.
In this way old vehicles can be turned into cleaner ones.
With CNG price so high now. Earlier petrol use to come for 70-80 INR CNG was 35 INR half the price right now its 70% the price. Plus cost of kit, lower power and damage to engine. I dont hink its really cost effective now. Unless you have very high car usage.
India has to really rethink it's EV policy, before it's too late!
FAME III incentives are focused on charging infra deployment only
OEMs can bring IMT in CNG....if Full automatic cars cannot be converted to cng
In South India u can find auto LPG stations almost everywhere, 25L of LPG filling just takes 2 Min where as 10 Kg of CNG takes 7 Min. No one prefers CNG bcoz the weight of cng tank is 90 kg, filling takes a lot of time, heavy queue at the pump, u loose 20-30% of the engine pickup.
Where as LPG tank (toroidal - tyre like tank) is just 10-15 kg, less waiting at the pump, fast filling, no loss of pickup.
earlier car manufacturers used to factory fit but from past 10 yrs they are just providing only cng.
Price of cng is 95 and lpg is 58 in hyd.

I had swift dzire for 13 years running on cng with almost above 25 km/kg & never had any issue. The biggest issue now is at one point govt is forcing to buy only petrol cars. Now petrol which come with smart hybrid feature cannot be fitted with aftermarket cng due to RC endorsement issue by RTO. Now if govt is discontinueing diesel cars and the alternative for it js cng. Then even the cars which come with mild hybrid feature should be allow for after market cng with RTO approved. Car with company fitted cng kits are less . So govt should lift off the RC endorsement issue for mild hybrid cars like ciaz & ertiga.
I am from Gujarat. I drive myself CNG car and i would say it is highly cost effective. I have usual travel route of 400 KMS which used to cost me around 3500-3700 on petrol but after retrofitment of CNG it is hardly 1400-1500 INR. Gujarat has very good infrastructure of CNG. In last 3 years number of CNG station has increased drastically.
Sir, u have delivered very rare but same time most important msg related to cng history and cng vehicle, after seeing this content I am ready to consider cng cars in my portfolio.
Range anxiety is another reason why people don't opt for CNG. So Govt shd (read must) provide CNG also along with petrol diesel and ev charging at the rest areas near all the newly build express ways. For eg Yamuna Expressway has just one CNG point between Noida and Agra. It should be not less than 5 each side. Then queues will go short and confidence will go high.
240kg to 270 km in full tank plus you gonna have petrol in your car as well
Kaisi range anxiety bro petrol toh backup me hota cng khatam ho jaye petrol me shift karlo simple sa ek button hota hai sirf press karo petrol me chalao

Please also make a video on ethanol as a future fuel for cars. As it can be manufactured in India , less cost for R&D for ethanol engine as they re similar to petrol engines and even Transport minister Gadkari was speaking about it.
One of the main reasons for low adoption rate of CNG is that people see CNG cars as less status appealing as CNG has been endorsed as cheap rather than sustainable and pocket friendly, EVs are more preferred since they have been advertised as the inevitable future
Prakash guru make a video on why tata is the first car makers to launch twin cylinder technology in cng car in presence of other bigger giant ?. because some people think this is very simple technique, we are waiting ✋️ 😀.

You are doing good, making really good video, those who like will subscribe, stop asking, in my life I've learnt that we get nothing by just asking. We get what we deserve.
One of the reason of long queues is the cylinder capacity as well.
A cng hatchback will have to be filled twice to cover 400-500kms whereas with petrol car only one trip to fuel station is enough.
In CNG car, full tank lasts around 200 to 250 km average. In a modern electric car also, one full charge translates to about the same range figure in real life. Which one would you prefer given that -
CNG station count is currently less, but EVs are more expensive than CNG vehicles for the same case of refueling scenario as described?
@@AnubhabKundu cng will have upper hand over electric in this case. Charging time of EV is way higher with very few charging outlets. CNG at least has backup of petrol.
@@AkshayNaik404 if i assume my EV is not being fast charged, and is only charged overnight, would your response change?
@@AnubhabKundu yes still my preference would be cng petrol hybrid.
If I have two cars, one for city use and one for long drives then having EV as a city use car makes sense but if it's going to be the only car then petrol + cng is the way to go.
@@AkshayNaik404 thats okay.....now think of the time you have to do a long trip. But you opt for flight/train (when available), does it not make sense that even if you have an EV as only car, there is no problem as your train has very high chance to get pulled by an electric engine, so you are freed from the responsibility of driving yet it is easier on the pocket while adopting a more sustainable choice for transport than driving the ev on a long trip? Yes trains that are pulled regularly by electric engines are also electric vehicles but of a different kind, as they have access to long overhead wires unlike electric cars.

Sad to say but you dont have idea of electric car pricing in India.
If you have the 10 lakhs Rupees budget then why spend it on a petrol or gas vehicle. Try looking at Tiago EV variants for a change. This model starts at 8.69 Lakhs for the medium range model and goes upto 12.5 lakhs for the top spec version. At this price, base model of Tigor EV Ziptron also starts at 12.49 Lakhs ex showroom. If you need a smaller vehicle thats also more affordable than Tiago EV, then go for the base model of MG Comet, while its important to point out that MG Comet is based on a body style that not many people will like.
Also electricity is cheaper to buy and unlike CNG, you dont have to run to a gas pump to buy gas, as electric cars can be charged from any 16 Ampere mains socket. In kolkata, electricity prices are at 7 rupees aggregate. One kilo of CNG is priced at least 10 times compared to 1 kWh electricity, and the distance covered per kWh is not dependent on anything else unlike the pressure of gas in the pump for a gas car (you get more gas, hence more km driving if you have a good pressure at the pump). Try buying one kilo CNG and get the tank to tank range, compare it to the distance travelled per kWh in an electric car....you will know how energy efficient it is. India must develop sodium ion battery cells which will contribute to price reduction in future, and India must plan for it.
Building solid waste plants in every taluka and making Bio Cng from wet will reduce waste which will directly go to plant instead of landfills and cng will be also available with cheap price. Govt to implement this under Swatch Bharat program.

I am not sure wether you read the comments, but there are certain points you missed when it comes to disadvantage of CNG vehicle for personal use over its petrol cousin. First point being low engine power, especially when you have to overtake or climb a hill it just refuses and you need to switch to petrol mode. Thus most who buy vehicle for driving don't but CNG vehicle .Second point, the life span of engine on CNG cars . Due to which a 5 year old CNG private vehicle will not have a good resale value compared to its petrol version. So these are also the reasons people refrain buying CNG vehicles. Also, in some states the rate of CNG is same as compared to petrol.

You conveniently forgot to address 2 important negatives of CNG. Vehicles need to maintain certain level of Petrol in the car too. So eats up space of two tanks, they also need to go to the petrol stations once in a while to keep petrol tank filled. Also, it is advisable that everyday car should run few kilometers on petrol and starter needs to be used on petrol only. Secondly, CNG vehicles will have much more maintenance few years down the line. People wont agree to this but the majority CNG car owners (cost effective mindset) are running their vehicles without proper maintenance. AND THE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT IS... CNG lacks power. Running car on CNG itself delivers 20% to 30% less power on top of it, run AC and the power is further reduced by 15 to 20 % so eventually you land up stressing the driver and the engine. Most of the CNG users are too much cost conscious, either CAB owners or small capacity cheaper cars and autos prefer the CNG. And these are the vehicles increase queues on the gas stations. If a balanced comparative study is done between CNG & a Petrol vehicle, probably CNG cars will have more negative impact on the environment due to the constantly stressed engine. Secondly, have you ever walked through congested road where lot of CNG vehicles are stuck... you feel much more suffocated as CNG never burns completely. a different type of smell troubles the breathing so asthmatic health issues may arise due to CNG in future. But unfortunately, no one cares to put research in that direction. CNG should be the big NO. It should be rather used as a fuel (instead of coal) to generate electricity and then that electricity should be provided to charge EVs. Today 70% electricity in India is generated by burning the COAL. CNGs are worst for the environment, little easy for the pocket but thats just for a while, earlier CNG was priced at Rs.30 per KG now it has also reached Rs. 80 per KG. India needs to come out of the mentality of cheaper the better....
Both West & East States of India need to have CNG/LNG/Crude Oil ports to supply to PAN India
