Wow man, WHY am I just seeing this now?? a absolutly stunning peltosaurus!!! the closest that I got was with just the jaw. But just in general, your prep skills and your filming with the narrating, absolutly love it! You definitly are going to make it man💪
I am a woodcarver, so familiar with the process of elimination. I don’t use power tools so I also have to be careful with smaller details and removal of what I deem unnecessary. Watching your process reminds me to slow down, and think thru my process a bit more cautiously. Awesome video and end result!!!
Stunning my man. Brilliant prep work. Hell yes. I agree TH-cam needs more content like this. What a glimpse back into deep time. So fascinating!!! Love it
You have a good eye and your definitely in the right line of work. That is amazing ! WTG! I love seeing how fossils are found and the delicate work to unearth them.
Oh he's a super-nice specimen! Love the detailing of the armored plates, and even the tiny little sensory pits on his lower jaw--would that be similar to the ampullae of Lorenzini on sharks, I wonder? I shared this with my son for my grandchildren, hope they enjoy it! Thank you for sharing with us!
Pits on the jawbones are foramina for nerves (branches of trigeminal and facial) and blood vessels supplying the lips, present in all squamates. They don't have ampullae of L, but some lineages have independently evolved specialised pits and tubercles with various specialised sensory functions.
That is an absolutely wonderful fossil! I screen for Cretaceous Marine fossils in Alabama. Then I keep most of what goes through my 1/4 screen. I have found a lizard jawbone with teeth and a plate that covers the eye socket.
