OKTOBERFEST OPENING DAY vs. TRADITIONAL GERMAN FESTIVAL (which is better?)

- We attended OKTOBERFEST on opening day! We also attended Almabtrieb, an annual event in the Alpine regions of Europe and a tradition dating back over a 1000 years! But WHICH GERMAN FESTIVAL IS BETTER?
You'll have to watch this video to find out, and decipher for your own choosing. There are pros and cons to both experiences but at the end of the day it depends on what you are looking for!
Oktoberfest is still something everyone should experience at least once (if you're into that kind of thing) and Almatrieb really warms the heart, with the passing of cows adorned with flower crowns, and the locals partying until 4 AM in their own tents.

7:17 I was in Munich for Oktoberfest last year. Pretty sure that was the first year after COVID. Over good video I enjoyed it.
Thank you! How was it? We heard that this year was the first it was like “fully” open with zero restrictions
We enjoyed it. When we were at the gate, the side of the line that we were in started moving so we went with the flow. We ended up following a group into the grounds. It was not intentional but we ended up getting in a hour before the gates opened. We spent that time running to all the tents and getting pictures of them empty. Then we went to the tent we wanted and and got comfortable.@@TheAdventuringArtists
