Thank God finally a real sports touring bike that actually has a rear seat and tail section long enough to strap a backpack to! I'm so tired of these modern bikes with no tail sections. So annoying if you plan to do light touring

I got the nicer blue, three things to upgrade at the start: brake pads first. Stock pads feel mushy. At 6"2", I was able to source the touring screen from Suzuki USA, makes a huge difference. Lastly, a few more thousand miles, upgrading to Michelin Road 6 tires. Oh, and I can't get the MySpin app to connect with my Samsung phone, so I just got a phone mount for navigation. Other than that, I'm loving it.👍

I got min GT+ (with panniers) in may this year and I'm very pleased with it.
I have run it now for about 4500 km. I'm nearly 6,4 ft. my self and find it quit roomie. Spite it's good legroom I have put on a footrest kit from MOTO-CNC. It gives 30mm offsett in any direction. I have aslo put on a topbox rack from Givi with the Givi Tracker 58 liter box. With the panniers and topbox I have 130 liters packing space. I also prefere the black bacground at the tft screen. I think it is easier to read when it's black background then white background. The windscreen is also perfect for me. It give no turbulence what so ever. All in all it's a very good bike and very easy to ride spite it's 226 kg.

    • @Revviews

Yeah for sure, like me it hides its weight well lol. It's a truly impressive machine and priced well which should make it popular for many. Plus a few mods and you can have a very powerful yet comfortable bike. Thanks for your support mate. Cheers 🍻

      People be talking about 226kg like it's heavy for a sports tourer. A GTR1400 Kawasaki is 300kg, my FJR1300 is 280kg, a BMW GS1250 is 260kg...
The Suzuki weighs about as much as a tupperware container for a sports tourer, particularly if you dump the standard catbox and bang a set of headers on it. 😊

I’m in the USA. We never got the crossrunner here. The V4 is a smooth and tractable engine. I’d trade my old VFR for one in a heartbeat if I can flatfoot on it. I’m 6’ tall so it’s not usually a problem but I’ve sat on the VFR 1200x and it was too tall for my liking, especially at the almost 600lbs it weighs. Honda really perplexes me with their decisions of who gets what in the world!

I’ve got one in the lovely blue colour. Traded in my VStrom for it and am not disappointed. It’s got the panniers but I like my top box too so ordered a rack too. I kept the box from my VStrom and it fitted straight on. I didn’t like the screen, so fitted the touring Puig screen which helps to deflect the air flow. Looking forward to touring on it next year. @@RevviewsI plan on upgrading the brake lines, pads, tires, intake, slip on, and ecu flash when I get my GT.
Hopefully in an year or two. Just want enough intake noise and sound for me on longer rides. You can get 139hp to the wheel on an complete stock bike with an ecu flash which is way more than enough power for me.
I’m sure with an intake you might get a few more hp. Don’t wanna do a full exhaust due to it being too loud for long rides unless I can find a full exhaust with a decent db level and low drone.

Hi sir is it possible to sit on seat furture back for much more leaning and sporty riding position or seat always push u forward ? And the second question is , does the bike feel heavy? On twisty roads i like to lean my body out from bike left or right , does it possible on this bike? Im currently using 2022xsr900 and twisty road is very easy with my bike and i can sit on seat furture back and the seat give me permission for it, it doesnt push me front as 2021 mt09 did...what about gsx s1000 gt?

Hi Volkan, thanks for your message and for watching. I would say it's a neutral riding position. Fairly upright but still fun. I am tall with long arms but found it very comfortable. Easy to chuck around the corners. Might be a little heavier than your XSR but when on the power it feels aglie. There is a fair bit of room on the seat to move forward and back. Hope that helps. Cheers 🍻

    • @MrLilredmachine
      @MrLilredmachine ปีที่แล้ว

If you want a bike to enjoy when ridden fast, and has a finish that will last longer than a month if you actually use it, then the Suzuki. If you are one of the people that buys a bike like modern people buy a car, IE whether it has a blue tooth connection or not rather than how it drives, then the Kawasaki.
Honestly I don't hear enough about Kawasaki's shoddy modern finish, out of my pack of mates 4 of them have Kwaki, a Z900, two SX1000s, and a H2. We ride all year around and the Kawasaki are all looking hideous, with paint coming off, fasteners rusty, not tommention the H2 blew it's shock out after just 6k miles. A shocking display of rubbish finish. Meanwhile the 'budget' Suzuki in the group is still mint after 8 years.

Other than the odd bolt getting a little rusty both came up like new when they were cleaned, where as my friends on a GSXR 1000 and the other on a V-strom wouldn’t have got scrap value for their bikes, they were so corroded.

No. In short. It is truly an excellent motorcycle, but a tourer?
A tourer - by its very nature - tours. The screen has no adjustment and is less than effective, and the option to add touring equipment - ie panniers etc makes it too expensive. Furthermore, the pillion seat and grab handles are aesthetically pleasing but not comfortable on a long run, even for the more padded of posteriors.
Had it been in the same price bracket as the Ninja 1000sx (which is still not as good for touring as my previous bike - the Tracer 9GT) then I would have picked the Suzuki in a shot as its performance and looks are world class.
