This platform is literally a forever bike, if you do basics , really really hard to kill and value clearance is seldom an issue. Plugs, air and oil filter, fresh oil. And always buy multiple crush washers so you never ever make the choice of reusing old washer. Another note on this bike is pay attention to chain wear. You can get an O-ring chain and counter sprocket and rear chain ring as a kit. Brake pads are standard and easy, replacement before they need it will make rotors last way way past the service internal.
I have the exact same bike and just did mine last week,Push pin can get damaged easy, I stayed with the Suzuki r5000 oil, On my next service i will use full synthetic. I really can't get a clear answer from other's about what oil i should use.I was told to change my first service with what the manual says then next service use synthetic.Who knows.
The manual doesn’t specify. It just says to change it for the first time at 600mi. As long as the oil you’re using meets the spec it doesn’t matter. With that said, I’ll take Amsoil over the ecstar Dino oil all day every day
Great Video! Very informative. Going to watch more videos.
Glad you liked it.
