I never noticed how the part where he says “Please can I go home” sounds like when he asked Dream if he could go home in exile until now, that made me cry man, it’s terrible
And people want Dream out the prison. I don't get how people want the sicko free from the jail and some want Tommy dead still after the supposed resolve of things. 😒

Alright I don't know if anyone else notices how meaningful the "do you have any more potatoes" is at the end. It shows how Dream still has control over Tommy, and was able to convince him to calm down. Keep in mind in the cell, Dream has the food, so he could use that to his advantage of getting Tommy to rely on him more and more. Just an interesting thought. /dsmp/rp
Absolutely, he's got control over Tommy. Not to mention, this was clearly planned, because he saved up on potatoes. Theres no reason for him to save up on food unless hes going to use it for something.
This also might play into the egg story, Tommy might be trapped because he's a threat to the egg. Dream risked everything to keep Tommy alive under his control, but BadBoyHalo and the Eggpire want Tommy dead, so if Dream realised that, then the safest place for Tommy is with him. Edit: well this was disproved. RIP Tommy

Oo. I absolutely love this! The little flashbacks during the TNT was absolutely stunning. Your little details are absolutely amazing. When he pulled Dream's chain, the proper feeling of fear on Tommy's face, the electric green smile of Dream's demented self. The flashback when he said he wanted to go home. I absolutely love the scene where you had him slide to the ground, and his signifying giving up by asking Dream for potatoes. Absolutely chilled man. An all around amazing animatic!

The flashbacks to the TNT, the signs of previous abuse, the pained emotion on Tommy's face, the creepy little strings trying to wrap around him, this was really well done and now I'm even more terrified then I was before!
God this animatic is amazing, just the subtle things like Dream shifting himself between Tommy and the lava and that hand on his head, which is both gentle and controlling at the same time. Its all such a great animatic! And then there is this little tidbit that isn't brought up because Dream only mentioned this to Techno, but DREAM DOSEN'T SLEEP! And Tommy is stuck with him for a week and Dream can mess with him while he's a sleep, like he does with Ranboo during his enderwalk. Tommy has no defenses against Dream this time, they've ALL been taken away. He can't run and hide, he doesn't get hours away from him, no one can visit him or send him letters, Ghostbur isn't there to TRY and help him feel better. He's just without any protection against Dream's manipulations, and that just makes the whole thing even more horrifying than Exile.
@@Soul-zg8sd He really does. Like when sapnap visited him he basically didnt talk, making sapnap feel guilty. Same with when George and bad visited, he acted and lied, pretended to be lonely, sad and regretfull, making them think that he has changed. Even I got the feeling that he could change, since he probably wasnt always evil. Dream i feel like is such a complex and well made villain. He actually wanted the server to be a big happy family, he had good intentions but he did everything wrong. This stream though, and the way he manipulates and triggers Ranboo with the :) shows that he hasnt changed. Dream is just biding his time planning behind the scenes, even in prison he still has so much power. Sry for making it this long btw, i just feel like i have to since all of the dsmp characters are so complex.
I've got actually chills going through my bones. The character designs look so simple but I know it takes a lot of work, for some reason I cant make myself draw simple things and it always has to be detailed for me. I love ur stuff and I hope u never quit
This is underrated. The attention to detail and the way you were able to project the emotions perfectly. How you portrayed Dreams manipulation and him trying to draw Tommy back in, for example with the strings. It is amazing. These are the quality, deep-planning artists I am looking forwards to seeing thrive. :)

Let's see, my favourite moments: 1:00 ...........chills 2:03 The blue of Tommy's eyes really added to the figurative punch of those two words, seriously 2:59 I LOVE the way Tommy's anger is drawn here as he snaps and yells at Dream - from him smacking Dream away when Dream mentioned exile, to him grabbing Dream's shackles to yell in his face, I LOVE IT. There's a kind of desperation in his furious actions, a frantic scrambling for some kind of control over the situation, and gosh... My heart... 4:05 I don't know why, but Tommy's eyes dilating here as he begins to accept the hopelessness of the situation... *chef's kiss* Wonderful, I love it, well done... 4:09 "I want to-" "-go home... Please, can I go home..." WELL HECK I WASN'T EXPECTING THAT HEART BREAKING CALL BACK. Holy smokes, you went straight for the figurative jugular on that one... That actually made me gasp... 4:20 This is just... So well done. Dream snapping, Tommy recoiling, Dream reaching for Tommy as Tommy is cornered against the wall and screaming at Dream until Dream grabs his shoulders and tells him exactly what's happening... Tommy's pinprick eyes, looking at the lava until Dream grabs his attention again and moves between him and the lava... Yeah, I don't have much to say except that it's so well done. 5:01 Tommy sliding down the wall and to the ground... You can hear my heart sinking to the depths of my stomach and breaking 5:25 ...........chills
God, so cool! I was so excited when I finished watching the stream, mainly, because I love Tommy's and Dream's dynamic! They have one most powerful hitting moments tbh. Something about Dream giving a 16 year old a trauma, PTSD attacks and manipulating him just gives me chills! Amazing work!

Everyones talking about the strings but whenever c!dream is protrayed as touching Tommy in anyway its freaky af! Wheather its hugging, grabing his shoulder or placing a hand on his head it freaks me out so bad XD
I know right Oh my gosh, like i always get the massive urge to scream something like "FBI! OPEN UP!" or "STOP TOUCHING DA CHILD!!!", almost like a parental instinct you know!
Next thing you know dreams gonna get the poor kid under his spell. Probably gonna try some gaslighting who knows. My favorite part of the animatic btw is just how relentless dreams strings are.
This is exactly like how I imagined it in my head! OMG! That's insane! And the one clip where he asks to go home, and you quote Exile! Then there were Dream's strings inching closer and closer to Tommy as he's trying to gain control over his little puppet again. And the hopelessness of his expression as he's cornered by the wall. AH, It breaks my heart even more.
The sad thing about this, is that Tommy was doing so WELL. He was standing up to his abuser and facing him telling him "you can't hurt me anymore. You caused me so much pain and I wont be afraid of you any more. You cant control MY life, you cant make me mess up my own life." He calmly explained to him, that he was in n control, then he literally tried to leave. He was handling it really maturely all things considered.
This was the firs time in a while he was able to stand up for himself in a calm way, and then immediately after he's stuck with his abuser again. I think that's going to have a negative effect in the long run.
“We are gonna have so much fun for a whole week” “It’ll be just like exile” or in other words: “It will be just like the time I manipulated you and kept your loved ones away from you and pretended to be your friend and almost made you commit suicide multiple times”
My heart broke in pieces when Tommy called for Phil...his father, the only family that he trust and alive( Aside from techno). But of courses he never came. Yo I love dream smp lore!!! I love this animatic, you portrayed tommy panic and emotions so well. I also love how you drew dream, it was so chilling in a good way!!Keep up the amazing work! The way dream leans over Tommy and then puts his hand on Tommy head at the end is terrifying. And you animated it so well. It's also hard to believe that Tommy's still technically a kid, after all he been through...
God that part where Dream puts his hand on Tommy's head gives me chills every time. It's such a delicate reminder of the power he holds over him, even locked in prison. So good man
I just noticed how at the end how Tommy goes from yelling at Dream and being angry to just scared and sad within seconds. AND OH MY GOD with your drawings it made the ending "I can't do this" like 90 times more heart wrenching...
It is so sad hearing the utter fear and despair Tommy feels being trapped with the same man that spent his days wanting to destroy him any way he could. Dream was right. Even when he's in the most secure cell of the prison, surrounded by obsidian and lava, he still holds power over Tommy. He holds power over the server

Dream is so unbelievably manipulative that when he tries convincing tommy I started to actually get convinced he was a friend even though I knew damn well that he wasn't a friend. Masterpiece.
The last line.... 5:28 ... “I can’t do this..” the way he says it with his voice trailing off, the line both following and followed by unsettling silence, paired with the emotions drawn leading up to that moment not only gave me chills but even made me begin to cry ( which with everything going on on the smp these days is not that much a feat hahaha but still) I can’t stop rewatching that part but also the video in full, this is one of my favorite animatics now for so many reasons but here is just one of the many. Absolutely stunning, such great work!!!!

The way you animated this is exactly how I saw it happening- all the expressions and flashbacks were perfect. Tommy and Dream's arcs together hit so hard, he just wants to get away from his abuser :(
God, this is amazing. The glitch effect is used really well, and Tommy's expressions are so emotive. I also, like the sparing use of colour! It's so shocking to see Tommy turn around, and suddenly his eyes are a vibrant blue.

The size difference is so striking. It really drives home that Timmy is a kid. Than seeing the size difference between Dream and Sam in your other animations makes it clear Dream isn't in charge in there.
This gave me CHILLS!!!! It’s so unbelievably good! I loved the slow burn power shift as tommy lost whatever control of the situation he had knowing he could leave the prison. Also just the visual storytelling, the character design, the flashbacks... STUNNING!
THIS IS INCREDIBLE. Everything about it was just so perfectly illustrated to show what was happening. The flashbacks with the TNT, DReam's manipulation trying, again and again, to pull Tommy back in, the way Tommy slowly started breaking down until Dream touches him and he doesn't throw him off. Masterful. I love this so much.
I always love artist depicting Tommy's trauma and with this like his derealization, panic attack and always tries to stay at a distance from Dream but can't. Also Dream, trying to reattactch his strings to Tommy and always gets closer to succeed with every attempt. And as another person in the comments pointed out, the moments where Dream was touching Tommy, you can sense some possesivness from it. Not gonna lie, it caused a parental instinct to kick in i just wanted to pop into existance, kick Dream in the gut, push him away and then shield Tommy with my body while hugging him. Summirize it all; You earned a like.....i'm gonna watch this in my daily consumption of Tommy Angst.... it's not healthy, but i've got nothing else to do
ngl when the panic settled in, i genuinely had a secondhand panic attack, because of the fact that Tommy had started getting back on his own two feet and was feeling good about the future, then he's locked in with his abuser for up to a week, in an enclosed space where not even Sam can play as mediator. As someone who's experienced abuse and manipulation, this hurts because Tommy is still a kid, and has gone through enough trauma to last him a lifetime of nightmare fuel. He was ready to be done with his abuser, ready to move on with his life and become a better person, because like he said "I don't like who i am when im with him." Then he's trapped back in his abusers hands, and he's strong enough to keep Dream away, but not for long because as a warrior, Tommy knows when he's in a corner, and he knows that there is no way out for him. Also the fact that Tommy cried out for Phil when the genuine panic settled in, made me cry cause even after everything, and the fact that (according to lore but has not been confirmed) Phil doesn't seem to care for Tommy as a son, he still cried out for Phil to save him.

Honestly I’m really excited to see what’ll happen to Tommy when he gets out. He hasn’t streamed since he was put in prison, so any sort of development he’ll get is off screen.
The way Tommy's pupils turn green, shiwing that Dream has won, at least for now, is so heartbreaking when paired with the blue that only happened when Tommy was, well, being Tommy.

Oh this was beautiful. There's something about Tommy's acting that is always so impactful to me but it's not the most immersive experience. Your animation, all the little details and symbolism, just...oh it's so good, I can't find the words. I loved the added flashbacks, the visuals with the strings and dream touching Tommy. This was so good to watch and I'm glad it came up on my recommended.

holy shit i've never noticed the intense anger and hurt in tommy's "NO!" at 2:29 while dream is trying to convince him that he's changed. tommy was making a stupid bit about making twitter dot com canon and then his sudden yell, like... oh my god dream snapping and tommy stepping back... tommy's brittle voice when he says "you're gonna be in here the whole time?" cause that's the worst situation he could ever be in... for tommy to go through complete hell and back, it mostly being thanks to dream, the man who abused you and manipulated you. imagine finally getting to put that bastard in prison, but then finding out that lots of people want him free and just not understanding all the pain tommy went through just because he's so frequently painted as the bad guy... you brought the visuals to freaking life, dude! it just amplified the total anxiety i felt watching the actual scene. cc!tommy please give your oc a break for like. two months. please
The end was so good, smh, I am inlove with these animations. You have talent, and make this kinda like that we just.. feel the animation inside of us. GOD I SIMPLY JUST LOVE IT, THE END THE EVERYTHING
This gives me so many creepy vibes. And the green strings is just so amazing. This is awesome. So many goosebumps I got. And when Dream put his hand on Tommy's head after slouching down next to him made my stomach turn.
The chains on Dream were a good touch. Amazing work on the expressions and frame compositions. It really sold how panicky Tommy was, both with the flashbacks and how he stuck to the wall at first out of fear, to how he grabbed Dream's chains out of anger, to how he drops down onto his knees in defeat. The flashback at 4:10 was my favorite, both in meaning and audio editing. I like how the strings appeared then disappeared when Tommy fought back. Love the ending as well, with Dream's head on Tommy to comfort him and the flip to the smile. Great job!

God, so cool! I was so excited when I finished watching the stream, mainly, because I love Tommy's and Dream's dynamic! They have one most powerful hitting moments tbh. Something about Dream giving a 16 year old a trauma, PTSD attacks and manipulating him just gives me chills! Amazing work!

This is exactly like how I imagined it in my head! OMG! That's insane! And the one clip where he asks to go home, and you quote Exile! Then there were Dream's strings inching closer and closer to Tommy as he's trying to gain control over his little puppet again. And the hopelessness of his expression as he's cornered by the wall. AH, It breaks my heart even more.

The sad thing about this, is that Tommy was doing so WELL. He was standing up to his abuser and facing him telling him "you can't hurt me anymore. You caused me so much pain and I wont be afraid of you any more. You cant control MY life, you cant make me mess up my own life." He calmly explained to him, that he was in n control, then he literally tried to leave. He was handling it really maturely all things considered.
This was the firs time in a while he was able to stand up for himself in a calm way, and then immediately after he's stuck with his abuser again.
I think that's going to have a negative effect in the long run.

It is so sad hearing the utter fear and despair Tommy feels being trapped with the same man that spent his days wanting to destroy him any way he could. Dream was right. Even when he's in the most secure cell of the prison, surrounded by obsidian and lava, he still holds power over Tommy. He holds power over the server

The last line.... 5:28 ... “I can’t do this..” the way he says it with his voice trailing off, the line both following and followed by unsettling silence, paired with the emotions drawn leading up to that moment not only gave me chills but even made me begin to cry ( which with everything going on on the smp these days is not that much a feat hahaha but still)

The way you animated this is exactly how I saw it happening- all the expressions and flashbacks were perfect. Tommy and Dream's arcs together hit so hard, he just wants to get away from his abuser :(

God, this is amazing. The glitch effect is used really well, and Tommy's expressions are so emotive. I also, like the sparing use of colour! It's so shocking to see Tommy turn around, and suddenly his eyes are a vibrant blue.

The size difference is so striking. It really drives home that Timmy is a kid. Than seeing the size difference between Dream and Sam in your other animations makes it clear Dream isn't in charge in there.

THIS IS INCREDIBLE. Everything about it was just so perfectly illustrated to show what was happening. The flashbacks with the TNT, DReam's manipulation trying, again and again, to pull Tommy back in, the way Tommy slowly started breaking down until Dream touches him and he doesn't throw him off. Masterful. I love this so much.

I always love artist depicting Tommy's trauma and with this like his derealization, panic attack and always tries to stay at a distance from Dream but can't. Also Dream, trying to reattactch his strings to Tommy and always gets closer to succeed with every attempt.
And as another person in the comments pointed out, the moments where Dream was touching Tommy, you can sense some possesivness from it. Not gonna lie, it caused a parental instinct to kick in i just wanted to pop into existance, kick Dream in the gut, push him away and then shield Tommy with my body while hugging him.
Summirize it all; You earned a like.....i'm gonna watch this in my daily consumption of Tommy Angst.... it's not healthy, but i've got nothing else to do

ngl when the panic settled in, i genuinely had a secondhand panic attack, because of the fact that Tommy had started getting back on his own two feet and was feeling good about the future, then he's locked in with his abuser for up to a week, in an enclosed space where not even Sam can play as mediator.
As someone who's experienced abuse and manipulation, this hurts because Tommy is still a kid, and has gone through enough trauma to last him a lifetime of nightmare fuel. He was ready to be done with his abuser, ready to move on with his life and become a better person, because like he said "I don't like who i am when im with him." Then he's trapped back in his abusers hands, and he's strong enough to keep Dream away, but not for long because as a warrior, Tommy knows when he's in a corner, and he knows that there is no way out for him.
Also the fact that Tommy cried out for Phil when the genuine panic settled in, made me cry cause even after everything, and the fact that (according to lore but has not been confirmed) Phil doesn't seem to care for Tommy as a son, he still cried out for Phil to save him.
Tommy seriously needs somebody to protect and properly take care of him.
I'm really sorry this caused a panic attack, I hope you're doing alright.
@@Grimmijaggers oh it’s alright, it’s always just the audio that makes me upset but it’s not so bad that I can’t finish listening to it, I just get shaky and nervous and unless I put myself in that position I’m perfectly fine so all is good.
Honestly I’m really excited to see what’ll happen to Tommy when he gets out. He hasn’t streamed since he was put in prison, so any sort of development he’ll get is off screen.

Oh this was beautiful. There's something about Tommy's acting that is always so impactful to me but it's not the most immersive experience. Your animation, all the little details and symbolism, just...oh it's so good, I can't find the words. I loved the added flashbacks, the visuals with the strings and dream touching Tommy. for tommy to go through complete hell and back, it mostly being thanks to dream, the man who abused you and manipulated you. imagine finally getting to put that bastard in prison, but then finding out that lots of people want him free and just not understanding all the pain tommy went through just because he's so frequently painted as the bad guy...

The chains on Dream were a good touch. Amazing work on the expressions and frame compositions. It really sold how panicky Tommy was, both with the flashbacks and how he stuck to the wall at first out of fear, to how he grabbed Dream's chains out of anger, to how he drops down onto his knees in defeat. The flashback at 4:10 was my favorite, both in meaning and audio editing. I like how the strings appeared then disappeared when Tommy fought back. Love the ending as well, with Dream's head on Tommy to comfort him and the flip to the smile. Great job!
