I think the after that line where Sam yells "Quackity!", I think because he remembers Tommy yelling Sam when Dream yells Sam, it's because he knows Quackity Is dangerous. He thinks that if Quackity hurts them or kills them, it'll be just like how he let Dream kill Tommy. Quackity seems like Dream to Sam, and Dream becomes Tommy.

In that moment, I like to think Quackity felt small and weak, like he did back in Manberg, like he always does, which is why he built Las Nevadas, to not be weak anymore. But he needs Sam for that.

I also liked how you made Sam look ‘bigger’ as their voices rised (he really is a giant), and also even more powerful and scary, while as you said Quackity probably felt small and powerless (and in utter panic, which you managed to convey in the expressions). I’m so invested in the lore JWJSHW. Sorry if I made some mistakes, english is not my first language
I love drawing height differences (because I’m tall pfffff) and I really wanted to emphasise that here, plus how Sam is almost over powered while Quackity is the opposite. It was so much fun to make.

Oh god, that Dream face glow. Finally got another one wrapped around his finger after so long. After nearly every other string has been cut.
Also, I like to think Philza's been alive for so long that the concept of time has more or less become meaningless and that's why he can't tell the difference between 3 days and 3 months.

Since it's been (kinda) revealed that this was (mostly) part of Dreams original plan, so I don't think all his strings were cut, I think he kept almost all of them, he just purposely made it look like his cut some of the weaker and more obvious strings, while all he was doing was securing and tightening them. Slowly getting everyone more wound up in his spiderweb if control.
That last one would make everything sensible
Phil is seen as an Angel of Death, and immortals have an accelerated perception of time due to their eternal lifespans
I love how nonchalant techno is despite bleeding from multiple wounds.
The scene of Sam shivering at the mention of Tommy's death was such a fine detail
Also, phil's face on the first panel literally says "wtf" 😂

Another absolute banger! Your style lends so well to both the comedic tones and the serious ones, and they blend so well together.
Once again, the expressions are making me go feral, with the way you portray rage and terror. Despite Sam having a mask, you can feel his emotion so well, as he tries to sort everything out and struggles with guilt and panic. Quackity's expressions really show how this affected him personally, especially with how much pent-up anger he has.
And of course, we can't forget the flashbacks to Tommy, our favourite source of pain! Even though he wasn't there himself, you can see how both Sam and Dream think about him as well, both in different ways, and that's so cool.
If this is how amazing this animatic came out, I'm ready for my heart to be torn out and DISINTEGRATED with the next one you do.

4:56 when Sam goes practically catatonic as his world crumbles around him is a close second.
He has something to use again Sam, even if small.
@@Grimmijaggers Dream's influence is like flowing water. If you let the water flow through even the smallest crack, with time the entire dam will collapse and suddenly you've got a whole lot more water flowing wherever it wants.
watching through this is such a rollercoaster that is so accurate to the actual streams dafasfs
like there's the light-hearted tone at the beginning with the Redstone malfunctioning, Quackity laughing about the dog and bell while Dream's actually sounding a lot like he used to sound with Techno and him being best friends

I really love this, I really like how in 2:51 it shows Dream trying to protect Techno, Dream has honestly had some development as a character thanks to techno’s visit .
Definitely! And the fact that he didn’t want techno to go through death because he saw what it did to Tommy shows that he cares about technos feelings not jut if he’ll be alive to set him free
I think Dream does regret what he did to Tommy, killing and reviving him, but he got caught up in the thrill of succeeding that he only made things worse between them. Cause on the day Tommy got out of the prison, Dream had to ask for potatoes from Tommy, but why would he let Tommy have that kind of control over him unless he let it happen?

@@bman296 Dream can seek vengeance without actually believing everything he did was right. He still hates Tommy for a bunch of reasons. But that doesn't mean he still thinks it's ok for "innocent" people to be tortured now that he's been on the receiving end of it. I'm not explaining it well but like... there are limits now? Except with Quackity. I'm sure Dream has no qualms about that one.

I love Techno's facial expression at 1:43 just as he's winding up to punch Quackity, you can just see the chaos in this man's eyes. The timing before such a serious scene makes me laugh so hard. Brilliant pose there as well, you can really tell there's power behind that punch.

What intrigues me is that Quackity tries so hard to seem intimidating or powerful, when in reality, he's nothing more than a man with cunning and ambition. While intelligence is not something to be overlooked, he lacks the presence of authority, resulting in him not being that scary of a person to deal with. He banks heavily on others to make him seem like someone you don't want to mess with because "he's the one in charge". But without Sam's sheer terrifying demeanour, Quackity really doesn't come off as much of a threat as I think he wants to. While it's good to have allies and he can certainly be scary with them, he doesn't give off the "do not fuck with me and that's final" vibe like Sam, Dream, Techno, or Schlatt do/did. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I think he wants that sort of power, to be equals with some of the Dream SMP's most intimidating characters.

It's because he's not like them that he wants to be like them, because he was also belittled for being weak and told he'd be nothing without others (Schlatt). That's his trauma.
I agree. because the only reason why he had both of them (Dream and Techno) vulnerable and overpowered is because they had nothing. and yet, he still hasn't gotten what he (quackity) wanted yet. even though he has Dream inside a prison, he still fails to hold complete power over Dream.

I love how Quackity is so cocky and crazy, he is so upset by everything that happened to him and tries so desperately to be at the level of others, he feels so desperate and helpless when others don't take him seriously, his character tears me apart the soul, without the slightest doubt is a very good character

Edit: Well... I missed it. I tried my absolute hardest to stay awake until 11 PM, but unfortunately, I got rekt by my parents walking in on me awake past my bed-time. But, this is *great*
I love all the little details, like when Quachity had those shears pointed at Techno and he was backed up against the wall, you could see his eye just glowing, my man was ready to just rip that thing out of Quackity's hands and commit homicide right then and there if Drram didn't stop him (also sidenote but I love all the frames where you used blob Dream, good call putting it in the scenes where Techno was being sarcastic and goofy and not just in every single scene with Dream in it)
Also like the other details like Sam's noises (he was roaring I'm pretty sure? Just hard to tell ngl) when him and Quackity were arguing, really helps hammer home what this version of Sam is, a creeper-human (well, theoretically he is half human but not sure) hybrid, and not just some normal tall boi. (Also like how you show the contrast between Quackity and Techno's POV, while Quackity and Sam are going at it, Techno is just yelling at Phil for his bad eyesight because he's been getting older lmao) Overall, great job! (Even though you probably won't see this edit lmao)

My favorite diffrence between Quackity and Techno is how they treat people around them. Sam telling Dream that he won't tell Quackity where he is already shows Quackity's allies looking to his downfall. Techno no matter who where or when he holds respect for them. He doesn't become angry at Quackity, he stays calm. He even is joking about Phil leaving him in the prison for 3 damn months. Even forgiving Tommy somewhat in his will and wishing the best for him. He holds no grudges. But he will repay debts. Out of kindness or out of revenge.
And it's all due to who they had around them and what lessons they learned from their past relations

Y'know regardless of his deteriorated mental state showed in the jailbreak it's difficult to tell if dream is being genuine about techno experiencing death given his manipulative nature it's difficult to tell exactly when he's being serious about things which is definitely a nice touch to his character you can never get a clear picture of his thought process even when he's talking about what he intends to do or his form of planning nothing is quite what it seems which is interesting
it's what makes him so interesting amd dangerous haha

and then he's gone. And the hollow look on quackity's face just screaming murder, and dream immediately tries to not be the casualty of that lmao. And sam literally has to push him away otherwise..; welp, revival book gone!
And that second half??? OOOhhhh boy, that conversation between sam and quackity is just excellent.How quackity repeats "where the fuck is technoblade?" the desperation in his voice, and then dream is gone as well And he takes it out on sam, who is already on the verge of breaking down, and he lashes out at him and quackity just LAUGHS, maniacally. his wheezy 'he's gone' all of his expressions combined with the voice acting just shows how hopeless, desperate, absolutely broken quackity is upon the realisation. He has this dread-indulcing feeling that his days are numbered and just... goodness Quackity, have someone that cares about you and is ready to protect you PLEASE I just want a happy ending for this broken shell of a man.
Anyway elaborate way of saying that it's one of my favs animatics. You always do such a great job with those, and that style of animatic, showing full scenes and entire conversations is really unique to you, and I love that :]

Honestly, I don't know much about these guys, having only started following recently, but the live version of Techno's escape made me really hate Quackity as a character, and maybe that was how he played that character. But the way you just.talked about him showed me a different side to this guy...maybe I oughta take a closer look.

If you are new to the fandom, I definitely recommend you to watch season 1 and 2 (or as people call it the L'manberg era). I could talk about quackity for hours on ends!
He is far from being the nicest person on the server, and he can be cruel and petty, but if you decide to watch more of his Point of view, you'd realize most of his unlikable traits now come from a place of hurt and mistreatment! Of course that doesn't excuse his actions, but he is such an interesting character and below this facade of cruelty and screaming and anger, there is a really broken man who doesn't know how to get back on his feet :')

Then reaching for Sam to stop Quackity.
You know Dream was traumatized by Tommy's words, he was holding onto his only friend by that point.
well Dream (and Punz) went through it multiple times when they were testing out the revival book. He knows from personal experience how bad it is
