    Ok, so we are gonna call this part 1, I have a part 2 to cover a few more basic things that are worth mentioning before we get tools out or go beyond just plinking in your backyard.
    Here is part 2 : • Crosman DPMS SBR , Bus...

    Crossman DPMS SBR is getting to be a legend in it's own right. It's the feel and realistic of it's solid construction that makes it so comfortable.. I have one and I cannot put the thing down. It has a lovely feeling to it that makes you not want to put it down.

      @@RWMAirgunsmithingif you want the tightest groupings on full auto (or semi auto for that matter), I strongly recommend the Umarex Legends M1A1. The trigger is a little crunchy and springy, but it is an absolute tack driver. It's fun because it's the most basic peep sight, but it's so well constructed. The full auto also has a much higher rate of fire (cyclic rate, not velocity) than any of the other full autos on the market.

    • @RWMAirgunsmithing
      @RWMAirgunsmithing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      ooooff, I've never done 30 yards with an airgun at all xD (like 15 out of 16 of my airguns are co2 replicas) . I've pushed my M17 with alloy pellets to 65ish feet on a 10x10 pellet trap but thats it.
      Had a backstore at the old shop when I had just got this guy and could plink a 10x10 pellet trap at 55 ish feet. Cant remember the groupings, didnt have enough experience back then to actually analyze my plinking results lol
      Go check out RumbleCanada here on youtube, he has crazy mods that you would want if you try to push this guy to 30 yards. Not entirely sure how good the ballistics will be with a steel bb at those speeds and ranges, might be something to consider, GL!

    • @RWMAirgunsmithing
      @RWMAirgunsmithing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe as a sidenote, these are not really target shooters even though they shoot amazing groups.
      But the accuracy allows for realistic training (compared to some replicas that have weird mechanisms or bad POI). I currently shoot in a maximum 45 ft basement range, and this guy is a beast, I practice with a shot timer and everything (like Jerry LOL)

      @@RWMAirgunsmithing thanks man for the info. I have an 80ft range just haven't got around to shooting its been too cold. I though of an actual mod for the r1/mpw/a4p/sbr. Take a 1/2" to 1 1/8" piece of 3/4" id (1.050" od) pvc pipe. Length depends on how much you want to short stroke. Place pvc between buffer and bolt. My thoughts are telling me it's going to A. Fire faster B. Give more fps C. Both A&B or D. Blow the seal. Think this will work?

      @@l3ad3d I think you just need a couple of washers to see a noticeable increase (RumbleCanada has exactly that mod on his channel) to the point that it might damage your internals.
      Dont forget that bolt has to cycle back enough to cock the "firing pin". So yes it will work but it might break the airgun and you will have to pull the charging handle each time. I'd suggest start with 1 washer and see what happens hehe.

      Might be debris or a bb stuck somewhere

    Can you please do a thorough video on the A4P Barrel Tape Mod to get it to stay in with or without that little silver tip, so i can put my own custom barrel extension on it. Please!!!
    Also, what differs from the A4p and the R1 why the barrel stays in the R1 but not in the A4p? I thought they were the same build

    • @RWMAirgunsmithing
      @RWMAirgunsmithing  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have all the clips ready for a barrel swap video, just have to find time to edit it .. sigh lol.
      On the R1 the inner barrel retaining thingy is captured on the inside of the the black barrel shroud, the muzzle device can be removed no problem.
      On the a4p the inner barrel is longer than the handrail, so it sticks out through the end of the barrel shroud and is actually held in place with the muzzle device.

    • @RWMAirgunsmithing
      @RWMAirgunsmithing  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would try using an oring kit, find an oring that gives a nice snug/secure fit inside the muzzle device. There are ways to secure the barrel inside the "chamber" so it doesn't slip out (using an oring) it will be in my barrel swap video

    What about power? Any difference?

    • @RWMAirgunsmithing
      @RWMAirgunsmithing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Neg, as I mentioned in the video they all work off the same magazine, the only ballistics or accuracy differences you might experience will be from the difference between the 6 inch and the 9 inch barrel.
      Even the a4-p with a 6 inch barrel plinks perfect out to 40-45 ft with a decent red dot, so the R1, dpms and bushmaster can push a bit farther than the a4-p.

    The A4P I know its a very short version of it's brothers, but it appears to my eyes to be smaller too? Or is it just a shorter barrel and lack of a Stock? So if I add a.stock I should be able to shoulder it and feel just like shouldering an R1?(Shorter barrel obviously)

      Ya, mechanical-wise the uppers and lowers up to the handguard are all the same on all the models including the buffer tube underneath the different Crosman stocks/brace. The only difference on the a4-p is the 6inch inner barrel vs the 9inch on the other models.
