I love that first level theme - it's such a banger, and it's great to hear all these console renditions of it! It seems the PC Engine CD one actually has an actual band covering it, and it's _GLORIOUS_
I was surprised they did a CD version, I was expecting a small HuCard release for what wasn't a huge release back in the day. I think by that point though it was cheaper to release a CD version. All the mastering hardware was long paid for, and developers knew the system inside and out. Plus the CD ROM2 had proven very popular so the market was big. Meaning we got great music like this.
The best versions in my opinion: ( With justification) Genesis - (The music and the fact that it is nostalgic) Master System - ( It was the first version I played and it is also the most nostalgic and special for me 😢❤ ) Arcade - ( Level Design and AI ) Playstation 2 - ( I met her a few days ago, but it is the most fluid and optimized version) PC Engine - ( By far it's the version that has the best music, at least I think) Anyway, this is my ranking, remember this is just my opinion. Final notes: BB Genesis - 9,5/10 BB Master System - 9,5/10 BB Arcade - 9/10 BB PS2 - 9/10 BB PC Engine - 9/10 I never played the other versions.
Never got the appeal of this game. Though the arcade version's screenshots in the magazines of the day made it appear quite 3D (screenshots were often blurry and sometimes just photos of the TV/monitor display of the system running the game. Way harder to screen-grab back then). I have to say despite the CPC being my fave 8-bit computer, it's got the worst version here mainly due to how slow and quiet it is (an annoyingly common issue on the CPC with various lazy ports) though it at least has colourful graphics unlike the drabness of the ZX Spec version. Sharp X68000 is probably the best but that's such an uncommon system so I'd go with Genesis / Mega Drive being the best version that's a lot more accessible to obtain and play.
I haven't played all versions. Only owned and played the Master System and Mega Drive versions, but out of those two, I have to say that I preferred the Master System version.
1. Arcade (as always) 2. SharpX68000 (almost identical to the arcade) 3. Playstation 2 (hope the blurred graphics are just here, not on the tv screen..) 4. PC Engine CD (usually not bad) 5. Amiga (pity that the sound effects are muffled - someone did something wrong) 6. Megadrive (the game screen is a bit narrow) 7. Master System (surprisingly good) 8. Atari ST (what a scrolling omg) 9. Commodore 64 (not bad for the little 8 bit guy - the music could be better though) 10. Amstrad CPC (at the end of the line as usual - no music (maybe better so) and it sounds like a PC speaker) 11. ZX Spectrum (the black & white graphics causes a bad mood to me) Verdict: Too bad, there'is no full screen one player mode!
I love this channel when the versions for ZX Spectrum appear, I wonder: - Who played this crap? Then I remember... ME! 😂😂😂 It's always the biggest trip, because WE WERE what WE HAD to play with, and we had so much fun! It really was another time!
the pc engine is by far the best version with the only other one coming close being the sega ages version since it plays real smooth, but in trying to get close to the arcade it doesen't have the detailed graphics of the nec and that midi soundtrack kinda hurts it
@@jasonlee7816 The scrolling on the Atari is pretty poor, as is the overall frame rate. The Amiga could have done 50 fps, but what they achieved wasn't terrible. Obviously the Amiga sound was better too.
Amiga: obvious lack of colours. Seems that at 1990 Amiga is already falling behind arcades, and AGA is 2 years away... ST: same as Amiga with extra shitty scrolling, possibly the worst i have ever seen on ST. CPC: what to say... the screen jumps by 30 pixels at once. C64: looks rough and ugly on LCD, probably much better on CRT. But, runs smooth. ZX: is this Amstrad port (to reverse direction of porting, for once)?
Sega Genesis/Mega-Drive port could’ve had better audio, graphics, music, sound, visuals instead it feels, looks, sounds like a cost cutting, incompetent, lazy, rushed 4 or 5 megabit version

Wow, Sega Genesis really has a strong sound! Impressive how its superior to all the other versions in this aspect
Most ports: either “nye he he!” or nothing
Master system: *MANIAC LAUGHING AT THE TOP OF THEIR LUNGS STRAIGHT INTO YOUR EAR*

So glad you made a comparison of this game, this is one of my all time favorite Genesis games, and I like the other versions too.
I wish this had gotten a DS or 3DS remake,Would've been perfect.
The X68000 looks the best - but the Genesis version is goated
Agreed

Great video, Kudos! I love this game, thanks for showing all the ports :)
The master system/mark lll had a laugh so loud my ears had a reaction telling me to take my headphones the hell off now
I love how that fly bug annoyed him while he's hiding!13:30😂😂

Bonanza Elegy is such an amazing music.
The Mega Drive Version Is Good 11:44
you finally did it

sega genesis ver. is the most nostalgic for me :]
I remember these guys from "Sonic and SEGA all stars racing"!!
the last version was released in sega classic collection in occident

Arcade, Sega Genesis, PC Engine CD and PS1 are the best versions of this Game!
Best in terms of what audio, graphics, music, sound, visuals?
i didn’t like the way the PC Engine CD port (version) sounds or it sounded awful, crap, dreadful, horrible, terrible
@@jasonlee7816 For everything!
A favorite of mine.
Anyone know why the computer ports changed the storyline from the Arcade version
Nevermind: Found out this was a change applied to the US Arcade ROM
Where can you play the arcade version today? Has it ever been rereleased?
I love this video but you forgot the player hurt sound!!!
Love these!
The characters look like something out of an early version of roblox XD
btw. Can you please do a Dynamite Dux comparsion?
Yes, count on It.

🤓☝"Actually they are the good guys!"
I own Bonanza Bros. for the Sega Master System and the Genesis. The Genesis version is the better of the two.
Eu costumava jogar na versão de master system pois achava que era um pouco mais fluída, e talvez até mais facil.
Quite a basic game
it is a 1990 game
Not as basic as a 1970's game or 1980's game
It is basic but it's fun
goated game

Can there be a sequel for this game?
La versión de Pc está para bailarla y Todo
I beat this game on genesis
