Pacino and DeNiro were at the top of their game in this film, but let's not forget the riveting performances of the supporting cast in Tom Sizemore, Val Kilmer, as well as Ted Levine, Kevin Gage, and William Fichtner. The casting and performances of these actors was flawless.
The ending when Pacino is holding Deniro’s hand as he passes with the synthesizer score is one of the most emotionally beautiful scenes in movie history in my opinion. No eyes dry!
To think that both of these legendary actors were in their 50’s when the movie was shot and released to now Pacino being 82 and De Niro being 78….standing ovation.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
This film is an absolute masterpiece. There is not one weak scene, not one weak actor. They are all amazing. Robert de Niro and Al Pacino at their best! The music, LA all plays a part. There are scenes in the film that give me shivers, the car scene before the coffee scene, Robert de Niro's slight smile in the car with his girlfriend when he things he's finally turning his back on it all and the end scene. Amazing ! It's a film I personally have to watch at least once every 6 months 😂
One of my favorite movies ever!!!! The line when DeNiro says, “…cause there’s a dead man at the end of this f**k** line” is one of my favorite scenes in the movie!!!! Honestly, to think if Pacino played the master thief and DeNiro played the manic cop, the movie would’ve STILL been legendary.
This film was so amazing! Both Pacino and De Niro were tailor made for their roles! This film and the two leads should've received Academy Award nominations for the both of their work.
An all-star cast! Heat is one of the best movies, I've ever seen! It stands out. Not just because Pacino and De Niro are in it. I love the story between the cop and the criminal!
Heat is such an underrated movie. Is in my top 25 best films I’ve seen. Especially that theses two legendary actors weren’t together on screen for Godfather 2 but were in Heat for the diner scene and those 10 minutes were enough and great.
Glad you mentioned The Godfather 2. The way it was said it sounded as if they were never in the same movie. I was thinking wait a minute what about The Godfather 2 , but like you said they weren't actually on screen together.
We need to get a 4K scan, remaster of L.A. Takedown on Blu-ray - it's like a genius demo/alternate take to a hit song. And The Keep. Please Michael Mann. Thank you.
This movie is so iconic every actor fit there character 👌.....I can never watch it enuff ...& some classics just cant be remade this is one of them....Heat is Awesome came out in 95 but never seems to age for nothing ....
Heat is a great movie...nice teaser for what looks like an awesome interview! I saw Heat with my parents, back in the VHS days. Excellent, excellent film.
This was such a satisfying watch when it came out. The film transcended the heist genre, so many memorable characters, the soundtrack and tone set by it were perfect.
I think, lowkey, this is my favorite Pacino Deniro film. I say lowkey because I don't know anyone that knows this movie. It's a sleeper film to most, but really it's a freaking triumph.
Masterpiece of a film great cast al pacino and de Niro together really is something special the gun scene is amazing like you are there. Also that ending with that moby music gets me everytime.
Thank you for commenting on my partnership TH-cam account. I so appreciate for your love and support towards my career and o hope you don’t stop watching my movies? Thanks

I didn't even realize they were that old but in hindsight they do look that age
It's not a masterpiece of the 90s. It's just a masterpiece
let me add, Of all time, Godfather 2 is a bonus
One of the best films of the 90’s. One of my favorite films of all time. Two of the best actors in the film industry.
It baffles me that people say Pacino “aged badly”...
He’s like the coolest 80 year old ever!
I agree. He looks great for 82!!! Still very handsome
Don't worry. They're only stinky trolls that say that. MANY MANY people still think he's attractive.
Yeah, for a guy who was an alcoholic and smoked 2 packs a day he looks actually great
@@Lushy260 so what? It can still affect your health and appearance
@@Chinaski1 *actually looks
That final scene when he offers him his hand is epic.
I just watched it. That ending was so good 😭
Just watched it for the first time today.

This movie has a special place in my heart.
Heat is not just a masterpiece it’s a classic movie of seeing two legends working together for the first time
They both were in The Godfather 2 but they didn't have any scenes together.
So yeah, Heat is the first movie with them on screen together
And it's a great movie overall
One of My Dads and I's Favorite films of these two
RIP In Dad 04/13/54-04/24/23
Heat is my favorite movie of all time. It's brilliant.
Same here, it’s utterly brilliant

Al is a sweetheart
@@Lushy260 He's such a good man. Not many like him in Hollywood anymore.

Man, these two dudes are legends. May God keep them healthy. They are national treasures!

Watching that scene between them in the caffe gives me the chills every single time I love it
This movie changed the way I look at movies. These two guys are just incredible together
Collateral and Public Enemies were legendary films as well. Michael Mann we need you back in cinema.
The Insider is a great movie too
Yes yes we do anything by Mann is good we can’t for the Miami vice series
He’s working on a car film
Atm
One of the greatest films ever made Heat.
Easily in my top 10 films of all time. Great story, great writing, amazing ensemble cast, the most epic shootout in film history.
One of the greatest films of all time
I love how heat is a recognizable art vehicle for Mann, it has his stamp all over it, yet as a story it stands on its own.
Correction: It's not a masterpiece of the 1990s. It's just a masterpiece.
The coffee shop scene between Al and Robert was my favorite scene in the movie
When I watched heat in the cinema in 1995 it changed how I looked at films for ever I still remember coming out the cinema amazed overwhelmed
heat is the #1 movie in my books, it's phenomenal. the music put it over the top, incredible.
One of the greatest duo in Hollywood......& I love heat movie 🎬
Forever a classic movie
Heat is a masterpiece. It’s stunning to me that it didn’t get Oscar consideration for Best Picture.
This film was so amazing! Both Pacino and De Niro were tailor made for their roles! This film and the two leads should've received Academy Award nominations for the both of their work.
This movie cinematography, wardrobe, etc feels like a 2010 film set in the 90’s
An all-star cast! Heat is one of the best movies, I've ever seen! It stands out. Not just because Pacino and De Niro are in it. I love the story between the cop and the criminal!
A masterpiece of the 1990's that will remain a masterpiece till the end of time . . . .
I had my wife watch Heat with me recently, I wanted to see how it stacked up to someone who had no idea of the movie, it 100% held its own.
No director/actors can make a masterpiece like this....ever
The movie is legendary. Two of the best actor’s pf all times.
Just bought the Audiobook “Heat 2 1988-2000” and it’s so great to relive these characters

My mother and stepfather took me to see this movie in the theater when I was 12 years old glad they did
Actors talking about their moments leading up to filming is so poetic and thought through, they speak about acting like it’s algebra it’s so good
Heat is such an underrated movie. Is in my top 25 best films I’ve seen. Especially that theses two legendary actors weren’t together on screen for Godfather 2 but were in Heat for the diner scene and those 10 minutes were enough and great.

This movie changed my life.
Iconic. They don't make movies like this anymore.
Heat excellent & the cast a perfect film .
Heat is without a doubt Pacino/De Niro’s magnum opus. Yes, better than Godfather 2 and Irishman! That diner scene was superb cinema history!!
Masterpiece who will last forever
