classical music bs- haha. Nice presentation- thanks. I really like the ChordVault by aetrion too, as it's really quick to record the chords in with my keystep 👍🏻
Good stuff as always. I use this module a lot, but for some reason had never though to use it with an inconstant clock but now I'm going to go wire it up to the Befaco rampage and make something weird.
@@yourpalrob I've just recently started using it to make weird beats. Also, if you aren't on bluesky, there's a nice active modular group there. Love to see you there if that's your kind of thing.
Thanks for pointing this out. This is actually a happy mistake. Both the subdominant and submediant would be deceptive cadences. The way it is input into the chord key in this video is the classic and most common where it resolves from the V to the VI chord but you could resolve to the iv with a similar effect. Regardless, I put the "I" and "V" the wrong way but they are still capital to denote a major chord. Good catch. *Edit: Changed my response slightly and wanted to say I'll add an asterisk in the video in post to mention it.
Hey Jafezy_JD! I used the same technique in the video where I have a step sequencer trigger some VCOs independently. To make one in 3/4 you could choose a step sequencer that has up to 16 steps and then limit it to 12 steps. Sync several up with a clock and you should be golden. That's just off the top of my head though 🤘😁.
All of the patches in this video have been uploaded to the free patch collection on my Ko-fi page. Hope y'all have a great weekend!
all info, no filler. what a nice change of pace from your average youtube video
Thank you, @amcsdmi 🤘😁
Short and precise explanation. Well done!
Thank you, @bmuxbeats! 😄
Very useful video, thanks!
Thank you, @ccjmusic! 🤘😁 I'm glad you liked it.
@@yourpalrob going to give it a try later today. I haven't done anything with chords in VCV Rack yet.
Check out Harmony and Harmony II if you haven't seen those yet. They are great chord modules too. Both are free.
Wow so helpful
✌️😁 thanks Katlin

Thank you! Ooo I haven't used the ChordVault. I'll have to check it out! ✌️😁 Thank you for the recommendation.

Hell yeah! Man, the rampage. Such a good module. I need to use it more often. I love the entire Befaco collection.

Thanks for the heads up! I don't have a bluesky right now, but that's only because I didn't know of it. I'll look into it 😁
I like the robot voice synth.
❤️ PinkTrombone is the module.
Love your vids
Thank you, @zeronikaitos21! 🤘😁
Cool video as always, but the F major is a VI chord in that key, tsk tsk, iv in A min is D minor

Thanks again for another awesome video Rob. I'd really like to make some beats like that!
Thank you, @00akcarl! When you make some beats, post them so we can hear them 🤘😁
@yourpalrob well I actually uploaded a video on my TH-cam lol. It's more of an ambient voice. But I learned a lot from you
I just checked it out. Great patch. I listened to it on a pair of Crinacle ZEROs and the sound was all around me. 😁
@@yourpalrob thank you! Like I said I learned a lot from you
Sick arpeggio on that patch, how did you arpeggiate the chord key? Tried to do a 3/4 one but it didn't work
