If it makes things any better, im on my 22nd Thanksgiving and I am still watching as many videos as possible to make the day as good as can be. (Its what we all do unless you're Gordon Ramsay)
I really appreciate the size of the cans mentioned. It's so fruistrating when you go to the store and you realize you don't know which can size you need and the wrong size will throw the entire flavor off.
I cook bacon and onion, drain the grease, stir in black pepper (you can add any seasonings you like), the soup, and half the french-fried onions. Bake until bubbly, put the remaining onions on top, and bake a few minutes more. This has become a family favorite!

People eat whatever they want like greasy foods, and go out in public and let let out a smelly fart, and they can. They even go over to a friends house and let them out. Don’t hang around with these people.They aren’t nice. LOL
My mom discovered this recipe back in I think '76 and she made it every thanksgiving until she died. It was the only item at our yearly pot luck that never had any leftovers. :D

This is such an easy recipe! Tried and true to the holidays. I also add 1 tbsp of soy sauce when mixing in the bowl for that extra kick and I mix whole green beans with french cut style too. It gives it a great texture. I add some shredded cheddar cheese for the topping to mine as well. It is delish! 😍

Anyone who shops at HEB needs to try this with the Cream of Poblano soup instead of mushroom soup. I will have make it without the Cream of Poblano ever again. It comes out so good that way.
11/21/19 Bought all these green bean ingredients yesterday! Plus cornbread stuffing, biscuits and gravy just because, and ingredients for fruit salad. Mandarin orange slices, pineapple chunks, green seedless grapes, pecans, coconut and save the juice. Mix full or low fat sour cream, not non or mayo over all and put in fridge overnight. I caught one of my guests running her finger around the empty bowl If you want another color, cut up marachino cherries! So you have a very pretty salad! My Mother made this starting in 1950! So this is a favorite!! Thank you for your good channel!
I’d never made this before until today (Thanksgiving Day). It turned out great, but I used frozen green beans and steamed them for a few minutes with a little salted water and a pat of butter. Delicious! I layered it into a meat-loaf terrine and baked it @ 325 until the top was brown and crispy... yum. 👨🏻💻 👌
Great video. Green bean casserole has always been my favorite thanksgiving dish. My mom always used to use del monte green beans instead of green giant and Campbell’s cream of chicken instead of cream of mushroom but the rest of the recipe is exactly the same. I’m sure it tastes very similar
I have always added the topping of onions for the last ten minutes. I also stir them once half way through the time. I have noticed the sides cook much faster than the middle.
I can definitely see the appeal using these ingredients.It communicates with most every home cook. I grew up on this near exact recipe. Nothing wrong with it at all. There is a place and time for most every ingredient, no matter tha processing technique. Except white pepper.

I find it comes out better to add a little less milk more cream of mushroom soup and small amount of soy sauce and garlic powder for taste. Her result was slightly runny could’ve been thicker

Heat through on high or low, depending on your schedule! Transfer to a baking pan, while hot. At that point, put into oven for about 10 minutes, after sprinkling the Fred onions! I hope you try it! It’s absolutely amazing! My pastor introduced me to this version and it’s now the only one I use! If you try this, I’m positive that it’ll be your most used recipe, as well! 🙂

don't add the onions on top until it comes out of oven. then put back in for 5 mins
