First off thx for this video. Super long day at work but the comfortable vibes were spot on 😇 I have to say it took me over a month of binging your channel and several others b4 I locked in on the RG353M but I freaking love that thing. I almost got the 405M but it seemed like there were multiple hardware issues. No regret with the 353M at all. It’s sleek, plays everything up to most of Saturn and some psp. Controls are comfortable. All the features like Bluetooth, Internet, 2 sd slots, etc. It’s awesome!! I haven’t even loaded all the roms I want on it yet! ArcOS is pretty solid too. I take it everywhere. I don’t play it everywhere but knowing that it’s there and I can is somehow very comforting. Been playing Star ocean translated on SNES also Kirby’s dreamland 3, yoshi’s island on SNES. Lots of SNES but I didn’t have one growing up and it scratches that retro itch perfectly.

Such a beautiful video ♡ I love how you talk about handhelds and gaming and this video reaches a peak, when it comes to that. "Love Letter" really is the right titel. The miyoo mini plus was my first retro handheld and tough I have several now, I very often gravitate towards it, just because it's so smooth and easy and I just feel comfortable with it. So thank you for this video. It's perfect ♡

Whoever makes one of those I am so on board! Dude congrats on your smashing subscriptions 100K all day.
thanks for finally settling my choice in retro handheld it's been a long journey watched so many reviews for so many handhelds, but I think the Miyoo mini + is for me also now I need to listen to happy together
There are lots of things I LOVE in this world. And one of my favorite is watching your videos (Although you never replied to the email where I give you a steam key so that you can appreciate my CYOA book video game Angor, without any grudge 😇). So happy together 🎶
I have a question: Let's say I got the Super Console X2 and it runs off of a 256 gb micro SD card. I was wondering have anybody bought one of these handhelds, inserted the micros SD card from the Super Console X2 and played games on a handheld like this instead of the television screen? Did it work?
That wouldn't work because the system that runs the Super Console X2 is different than the system that runs on the Miyoo Mini. You would be able to copy the rom files off the SCX2 SD card onto your computer and then onto other devices, but not plug-and-play the SD card itself.
Isn't this the "you should start a fire..." handheld?! THAT was the video that made me sub. Hands down one of the funniest things I've seen on TH-cam all year. EDIT: seconds after posting this comment, you very nearly topped it with that 'kiss' bit!
Great review! Like some of the other guys, I came for the review but stayed ( and subscribed ) for your style 😂 I would love to see a Miyoo mini settings indepth review from you also. Everything from display settings in onion os, down to the lets say GB and GBA settings / filter and overlays in RetroArch. That would be awesome.
Just clicked this video because I’ve always like retro boys. Owned several through the years and ended up giving them away to great friends so they can enjoy them like I have. Might buy one of these because of you now 😂 great video, just subbed, keep it up 💪🏼
Another amazing video and had me in stitches a number of times! Thanks TechDweeb. I still love me Powkiddy X55 and sleep with it every night. Are you going to do a 100k special?
One hundred thousand subway sandwiches 🥪 🥪 🥪 Well done to you....yay Very entertaining and informative channel. One of the best retro content creator's out there. Keep em coming dweeb, u rock!
I like video like these, I know it wouldn't do well in the algorithm cuz its not a review vid. But this speaks to my soul why I keep buying these tons of anbernic/miyoo handheld. It was one of my dream when I was a kid to play all my fav into a small portable handheld. As an adult and I can now comfortable afford them, its my comfort seeing them on my shelves and I always bring one during a long holiday too.
Another great Tech Dweeb video! I've always heard so much about the Miyoo Mini and always wanted to get one, I think the screen will be too small for my old and tired eyes but I want to at least give a shot to the plus. Hopefully on this black friday I can get my hands on one!
I paid almost double for my miyoo mini v4. But you were the reason I wanted one, even though I already experienced the plus model. The mini along with the YUME RETRO 3d printed case is the perfect pocket device. The case is form fitting, so its miyoo shaped and fits in your pocket while completely protecting your device. It comes to work with me every day. I think the miyoo mini, the upcoming retroid pocket mini, and the steam deck are going to be my gaming device trifecta ❤
Heck ya! I haven't found ANYONE else with this opinion. I LOVE the original mini, it's so much cuter and we'll proportioned than the plus or any other handheld, it is just perfect
Happy for u, techdwib. Someday my perfect handheld will come along too (a premium, aluminum shell, Gameboy micro style retro handheld with the perfect GBA screen ratio)
First video from this channel that I've seen, have to say that the editing is super well done. Seems like it would be a pain to sync up hand movements to a script.
Nostalgia aside, and there's no denying that warm fuzzy feeling of your first Thing, how would you rate the Miyoo mini verses the flipzizzle if someone wanted an "every day carry" handheld? I recently (too recently...) pulled the trigger on a Retroid 4 pro, but I'm still debating getting something that's ... less of a thing, I suppose, to carry with me.
Hard to say. I think the Mini wins for me, but I can easily see lots of people preferring the Flipzizzle. They're both so different it's hard to say one is better than the other. Let's just say I'm glad I have them both and don't have to decide 😅
I love this video. I feel the same about my rg351p. I saw a retro game Corps review on it years ago and it'd been with me ever since. Plays so much so well. I love it! Will upgrade soon when ps2 is played at a decent price but as a pocketable device that plays so much my 351p has been a brilliant buy. I saw on your 100 tips video you mentioned not being obsessed with new handhelds. Get a good one and play it and enjoy it. I've had that with my 351p. Great video thanks for all the amazing content 💚👍
The best retro gaming channel! I love my MM+. But I find it uncomfortable and I have small hands, I wonder if I’m doing something wrong? As I imagine I’ll struggle more with the smaller one? Or is the smaller MM more comfortable for some?
I picked up an Anbernic RG40XXV based on your previous review. Do you think it’s worth picking up one of these too? The Anbernic was my first retro handheld since the Game Gear. I assume of the two, you would recommend the mini over the plus. Just curious what your thoughts are. Thanks for all your fantastic content!!
I think that's a great combo, but it depends on whether you like the idea of a little handheld like this. Lots of people find it too small, but it's just right for me.
@@TechDweeb Lightning fast response!! I feel special 🥹 I love the 40XXV, but similar to your comments, it’s good for around the house but not exactly something I can tote around in my pocket, even with my rather large 6’4” 245lbs frame 😅 2.8 inches sounds kind of small, but would you mind telling what that screen height and width is? I wasn’t able to find full dimensions of the screen. That way I can make a little comparison on paper with the 40XX. Thanks again!! You’re the best!
I know you made this video like 30 times in different ways, but I still have to agree. The original Miyoo Mini is still my favorite emulation handheld and the only one I frequently use, even after buying the Plus version and several other handhelds like it.
You might be selling me on this thing! I've only recently fallen into the retro emulation handheld world, and fell for some of the hype on some recent Anbernics - but they've all disappointed me except for the RG-35XXSP which I think is fantastic. So I really don't need this - but man does it look awesome!! I love your channel and your presentation style too!
Despite my ageing eyes I love my Miyoo Mini above better handhelds too! OnionOS is amazing. But something about the size & form factor is appealing too. I only wish they weren't so fragile. No custom metal shell as of yet.
Miyoo Mini has a lot of fans, it's probably the most popular retro emulator. I am fairly new to this retro sphere and I would be very interested to know the history of Miyoo Mini, how it got the love of the community, what competitors it had at the time of release, the history of Onion OS development and all that. I'm really surprised no one has ever done this, maybe you'll be the one?
This was the first video I saw of yours and the mini reminds me of a combination of Beemo (adventure time) and the hecklefish from the YT channel, “the Why Files”. 😂 I think your channel should keep that lil dude for every episode!!! Make a vote, I’ll vote a million times
Sorry, dude, I Disagree on one thing. man, no mum is better than my mom. My mom is like the best mom ever, like the bestest, bestest ever. Maybe someday she'll read this comment, but I doubt it. She doesn't understand video games, and my handheld addiction. But that's okay. She lets me buy them anyway. LOL. Hope you have a great day. Great video again as usual.
I don't see a good reason why there should be a competitions whos mum is the best. For you , your mum ist the best, for me , without a doubt my mum is the best ! So can we settle this with our moms are the best ?
I feel the same kind of love for my PSP Go. I've got some movies and shows, plenty of PSP games, PS1 games, and the full library of every NES and SNES game. Even beside that though, just having it in my pocket is comforting.
These videos are just _adorable_. I'm serious; they're so refreshing after thirty years of "edgy" content, including South Park and of course The Angry Video Game Nerd. They're so heartfelt and innocent and silly and yet somehow genuine, like how The Muppet Movie could be ridiculous until the end, when there's a tender moment that doesn't feel forced.
I actually ordered the Miyoo Mini Plus earlier today with all the bells and whistles, and I am super excited about getting it! I have a special place in my heart for my retro games, and it's going to be so good having access to them all again! (I went for the Onion ver with the 256 SD they have packed with games).
Thanks to your videos (and Retro Game Corps) I ended up buying a Miyoo Mini Plus. I freaking love it. Onion OS is so simple to use and at the same time very complex and deep. But if I have to choose, my favourite thing has to be the Steam Deck.
I own a Mini V3 as well as an RGB30 and a steam deck... I love them all for different reasons. Mini V3 plays stuff I can do with one hand like Strategy, puzzle, pinball games and RPGs, The RGB30 plays more powerful stuff I need two hands for and awesome vertical arcade shooters without needing a Tate mode, and then the Steamdeck might be a little big, but handles all the other stuff I could want, but why do I keep looking to add another? There shouldn't be anything else worth adding to the family.
I'm sad for the people who missed the duet at the end.
I did miss it, thank you for this comment, it was a wonderful duet!

@@TechDweeb Ok thanks
Isn't this the "you should start a fire..." handheld?! THAT was the video that made me sub. Hands down one of the funniest things I've seen on TH-cam all year.
EDIT: seconds after posting this comment, you very nearly topped it with that 'kiss' bit!
Wow, you have flown through the last 50k subs! Well done 🎉
I like that singing ending. Also i like how you showcase darkstalkers and marvel vs capcom being playable on the miyoo mini
11:32 wait, it can?!? Omg that‘s amazing! I need to get myself one just for books! Thank you, TechDweeb!
It's such a cute little retro e-reader!
Such a wholesome video. Thanks so much!
Glad you liked it!
Thanks buddy!
Congratz on 100K subs coming! Another great video
So close!
This was the first video I ever seen of yours.. I just ordered my own miyoo (plus)… really made me want to play some of my favorite old rpgs.
I prefer the Plus because it has a bigger screen and it is better for your eyes
Fair
Same. My eyes are old.
MM+ has some crazy PWM which isn't good for your eyes...
Same here and have wi-fi for retroarchievements.
haha!! Good job Techdweeb! 100 subs!! Wow
Which game is that @ 1:19?
Actraiser 2 SNES
@@TechDweeb Bless 🙏
Wow not so long ago you only had like 20k subs, glad to see you grow fast!
Yeah! I have a short quick one for this weekend when I hit 100k, and I have a longer thing planned for my big Silver Play Button video :D
One hundred thousand subway sandwiches 🥪 🥪 🥪
Well done to you....yay
Very entertaining and informative channel.
One of the best retro content creator's out there.
Keep em coming dweeb, u rock!
Fiiine, I’m convinced and bought the mini with your code. Keep up the good work. Congrats on the hundred k!
Congratulations on 100k subscribers😊
I like video like these, I know it wouldn't do well in the algorithm cuz its not a review vid. But this speaks to my soul why I keep buying these tons of anbernic/miyoo handheld. It was one of my dream when I was a kid to play all my fav into a small portable handheld. As an adult and I can now comfortable afford them, its my comfort seeing them on my shelves and I always bring one during a long holiday too.
Well said buddy
My slightly modified Zelda Game & Watch is my favorite thing. Seeing Link kick some monster butt in the background is so cool to see
I always loved the look of that Zelda Game & Watch!
Can't believe you put box down like that! I love box still even if you don't....
You can have it. It's been nothing but drama for me.
@@TechDweeb Shhhhh it's okay box, don't listen to what the mean man says
What format and app do you use for ebook reading? Can you do a how-to video on videos, music, and books on handhelds?
should i copy and replace litnxt SD cards or do they ship with quality SDs? thanks TechDweeb
If you get the Onion card it ships with a good quality Sandisk, otherwise it'll be the stock card which is cheapo.
@@TechDweeb thanks a million TechDweeb
Excellent vid, and I'm not sure why someone wouldn't buy one of these before they get 10 minutes in. Thank you.
Another great Tech Dweeb video!
I've always heard so much about the Miyoo Mini and always wanted to get one, I think the screen will be too small for my old and tired eyes but I want to at least give a shot to the plus. Hopefully on this black friday I can get my hands on one!
LITNXT usually does a Black Friday sale FYI
@@TechDweeb Awesome thanks! I'll make sure to keep an eye out 😄
I paid almost double for my miyoo mini v4.
Ooh I've heard good things about that case. I really should grab one.
@@TechDweeb You really should. I'm shocked you haven't. It doesn't affect the pocket-ability at all.
I paid too much too because I didn’t realized they resourced the screens. Oh well. I love it.
Yeah, Miyoo Mini is my favourite as well. Can't argue with anything you said.
"your mom's job"
EY' BRO, EY! SHE WORKS HARD MAN LOL
Heck ya! I haven't found ANYONE else with this opinion. I LOVE the original mini, it's so much cuter and we'll proportioned than the plus or any other handheld, it is just perfect
Congratulations in advance to the 100k subs man!🥳
Thanks! And thanks for the stuff that helped me make all these videos!
Happy for u, techdwib. Someday my perfect handheld will come along too (a premium, aluminum shell, Gameboy micro style retro handheld with the perfect GBA screen ratio)
Are you familiar with the Ayaneo Pocket Micro? 🤔
@@TechDweeb We'll see, right? 🙂↕️
I feel special 🥹
I love the 40XXV, but similar to your comments, it’s good for around the house but not exactly something I can tote around in my pocket, even with my rather large 6’4” 245lbs frame 😅
2.8 inches sounds kind of small, but would you mind telling what that screen height and width is?
Does it support DOS games like Price of Persia?
Because of this video I order a miyoo mini v4 . I ordered it from the website you recommended. Super excited 🤓. I also subscribed
My dear Techdweeb, you're almost at 100K. Let's gooooo!
I know! I'm STOKED!
Despite my ageing eyes I love my Miyoo Mini above better handhelds too!
OnionOS is amazing.
But something about the size & form factor is appealing too.
I only wish they weren't so fragile.
No custom metal shell as of yet.
I love the look of it. But as an Analogue Pocket fan, isn‘t the size way too small for comfortable gaming?
Miyoo Mini has a lot of fans, it's probably the most popular retro emulator. I am fairly new to this retro sphere and I would be very interested to know the history of Miyoo Mini, how it got the love of the community, what competitors it had at the time of release, the history of Onion OS development and all that. I'm really surprised no one has ever done this, maybe you'll be the one?
This was the first video I saw of yours and the mini reminds me of a combination of Beemo (adventure time) and the hecklefish from the YT channel, “the Why Files”. 😂
I think your channel should keep that lil dude for every episode!!! Make a vote, I’ll vote a million times
Will the Onion OS card from LitNXT work on the Miyoo Mini V2?
Yup! I also use the same card on my V1, and my Plus.
Congrats on 100K!!! ❤🎉
The PSP Go is extremely compact too. I "refurbished" one from Ebay and it's pretty fun to carry around.
I've always wanted to try one
omg he should make that vid
Sorry, dude, I Disagree on one thing. man, no mum is better than my mom. My mom is like the best mom ever, like the bestest, bestest ever. Maybe someday she'll read this comment, but I doubt it. She doesn't understand video games, and my handheld addiction. But that's okay. She lets me buy them anyway. LOL. Hope you have a great day. Great video again as usual.
I don't see a good reason why there should be a competitions whos mum is the best. For you , your mum ist the best, for me , without a doubt my mum is the best ! So can we settle this with our moms are the best ?
I love lamp.
Was on the edge of subscribing, but when I heard chrono trigger it was over. Subscribed!
Welcome!
How long does it usually take to ship? Ordered mine a week ago thanks to your discount and haven't received a tracking number. Excited to get it!
Could you please tell me what game you were showing at 1:20? :)
I actually ordered the Miyoo Mini Plus earlier today with all the bells and whistles, and I am super excited about getting it! I have a special place in my heart for my retro games, and it's going to be so good having access to them all again! (I went for the Onion ver with the 256 SD they have packed with games).
I'm drinking a&w and getting my halo on, I lov your content.
Thanks to your videos (and Retro Game Corps) I ended up buying a Miyoo Mini Plus. I freaking love it. Onion OS is so simple to use and at the same time very complex and deep.
But if I have to choose, my favourite thing has to be the Steam Deck.
I tried to put movies/tv shows on my MMV4 & my NM+, but I can't figure it out. Can you please post a how-to video?
I own a Mini V3 as well as an RGB30 and a steam deck... I love them all for different reasons. Mini V3 plays stuff I can do with one hand like Strategy, puzzle, pinball games and RPGs, The RGB30 plays more powerful stuff I need two hands for and awesome vertical arcade shooters without needing a Tate mode, and then the Steamdeck might be a little big, but handles all the other stuff I could want, but why do I keep looking to add another? There shouldn't be anything else worth adding to the family.
