im thinking should i upgrade from my Ayaneo 2 with the 6800u? like i like the formfactor better and is the performance better? it seems a lot cheaper than what i spent on the ayaneo 2
In Australia the base model of the slide is $250AUD cheaper than the cheapest Ally and the steam deck isn't available at all. It's basically the loki max at $800AUD, this at $1050AUD, then Ally at $1300AUD. It's funny hearing all the US reviews mentioning the price being too much
Slight correction: You use 'Cinebench r23' as a title above the results but they are actually Cinebench 2024 scores, not r23. Noticed it in your other videos as well.
YES! Matt does it again, another solid review from the best!! Thanks for looking yet again at another device I'm looking for. A guy can always count on you! Keep it up
Hey Matthew you mentioned that the screen wobbled a lot that's quite the QC issue on that note have you experienced one side going up when you slide up the keyboard?
I just bought this handheld for only 690 usd worth on PH 16/512gb variant. The only downside on this is the average battery, small screen and its bulky heavy. But it's good and works for me because of its portability compare to other handheld and has almost the same performance with rog ally. I think it is a win win for such price if you lucky to find one on your area with the good price. I just optimize its settings to save battery and during my test It can last for upto 2 to 3 hours for gaming with 15w tdp and 30 to 45fps limit.
The Kun looks like The King. I’m stuck between LeGo and then adding on a OneXGPU or getting a 64GB Kun and rolling the dice on the manufacturer and shipping timeframe.
I suggest u just get a rog flow z13 acronym , more powerful similar portability and multifunctional. that’s what I did after own the deck , ally and go . 😂
I'm waiting on a Kun now. Looks like the only one made for large hands. The cooling is the main reason I'm sticking with it. Kind of hoping my wait is longer so i can get the new 8840.
@@enathanielg that’s where I’m at too. With the cooling, it looks to be a comfortable environment for all that hardware to last / remain relevant for 5+ years.
Innovative, but that tiny keyboard will have poor usability anyway. So I would rather have an on-screen keyboard with the saved space & budget used for better cooling and battery.
Ok why have u reviewed their gimmicky mid range model but not their current flagship ( AYA NEO KUN) ? Other company paying not to review aya neo kun ? very sus.
This needs to go back to the prototype pile. It looks like a $10 white hair dryer from Walmart. The vents are hideous and the keyboard looks awful. And it is the definition of CHONK. I mean I know people say companies need to stop compromising by obsessing over slim svelte figures. But this is taking trying to be ironic TOO far.
i wonder if they should have just added a second screen instead of the physical KB, then you could have a virtual KB when needed a second screen
They made that too. It’s called the Ayaneo Flip (clamshell design like the Nintendo DS). You get to choose between a keyboard or a second screen.
ready to pay for it 2 k?
@@jpquebec123 good idea, rip to the battery though
Can’t believe I wasn’t subscribed to your channel until now! Love your videos and the vibes tbh.
Thanks I really appreciate it!! Welcome to the channel :)
“Verizon sidekick” had me double take lol. I know it was a slip, keep up the great content!
Coming from the switch lite which was 5.5 inches, the screen just feels right
Reminds me of early android phones and the psp go

6 inches is kind of average but as long as the job is done I'd say it is a nice screen size.
It’s not average, 6 Inches is Massive. Right?
@@suvansh29 at the end of the day it’s the girth what matters and this is a very very thick device.
It's not the size but what you do with it.
@@KK-fi6ms Size is important for some positions 😉fortunately, you can tilt the screen.

Pretty slick, but I think the Ayaneo Flip KB looks even better!

There was funky Hall effect triggers, from funky Hall effects trigger land

Everyone always questions keyboards but wouldn't buy the device without being able to text

Looks amazing
Really? Just get one by Fisher Price if you think that one looks amazing LOL😂
Great review, highlighting shortcomings and superiorities to other similar devices
The problem with Ayaneo is that they release a new model every week making it an unsustainable (in terms of repair parts etc.)
ally/steam deck size are perfect and i dont need a physical keyboard on my handheld all the time(only when i installed software during ssd swaps
idk why, but for a guy with some greys growing on your beard. You have a very youthful voice!
lol thank you
Tmobile Sidekick making a comeback! lol
In the same price you can get Ayaneo 2. Also the performance and the build quality is way better than this.
There was a frame drop when you said that you didn't saw any performance drop. min 8:00 hahahaha, but seems good overall
Could have used a device people actually have for size comparison (Nintendo Switch).
Verizon Sidekick is insane to say
Bruh i knew you would say 6 inches is too small you savage
Haha
Can TH-cam be downloaded on that thing
Of course, it runs windows so anything you downloaded on your pc/laptop u can download on this too
ROG Ally FTW
it's a great version 1 tho... 😊
Gpd win 4 or mini is the most portable right now
you’d probably never have to delete the history on this cause your wife won’t ever wanna look it it
😂
Very cool look, but I think the screen is too small for Windows and many PC games.
PSP GO vibes here
I Love Handheld Gaming

I wish it had a track pad
The BIG q: is 6" too small to gay Mon?
What u do with these gadgets 😅
That's what she said.
Reminiscent of Sony Mylo from 2005
Im so tired of people down playing six inches. SIX INCHES IS A GOOD SIZE..... Hold up, what were we talking about again?
- "Is 6 inches too small?"
- "For me personally, I find 6 inches too small"
Me with my 3 inches device (gameboy): 😢
Looks like a cheap Fisher Price device.
it looked cool in the beginning of the video until he held it in his hands and i saw the width of it lol. Definitely giving a kids toy look lol.
far from cheap lol
@@j4n3m84 it #LOOKS like a cheap Fisher Price device.
I concur
Its the colors they used
trying to make handheld consoles thinner is just reta*rded where every tiny bit of thermals and battery helps.
The real question is, can it play steam games.
Clever concept but I don't think it's ready for prime time.
Gpd win4 is definitely ready and better.is complete device. 👌
Oh wow ayaneo made a cool looking console, hope they don't make another one in the next 2 months and forget this one completely
Feels like a missed opportunity to make it a clamshell design for better portability
Innovative, but that tiny keyboard will have poor usability anyway. So I would rather have an on-screen keyboard with the saved space & budget used for better cooling and battery.
The color and chunkiness make it look like a toy 😂. And not having a touchscreen is an idiotic decision
Wow a good solid fp unlike the Steamdeck which has poor performance .
The screen size is too small, 7 inches is pretty small 6 inches is way too small.
Ya I agree I felt it was a bit to small for me.
The keyboard just seems unnecessary. It’s not a messaging device, I’m not writing emails, and I only sign in to account once.
Yea price is shit but mite be promising
i don't like what i see
I like you
Youre all sick of hearing it, but twll me why its better than the stean deck, esp with the optimisation and support from the steam team.
😊😮😊
Can it fit in my pocket if not I don't care
Too many trade offs just for a lousy keyboard
The build quality alone is a no for me. Squishy keyboard shaky display .. for how much. Foh

Looks snd sounds cheaply made for the price.. No idea who realistically buys this over a steam deck oled rog ally or legion go
