Awesome! Thinking about the wiring and verifying that it is OK from the flood, have you been checking each end of various harnesses to ensure that there is minimal or no resistance? Agree with you that the window regulators are a pain to deal with, even more so on Cabrios. Just a thought, avoid using the door lock buttons to manually unlock the doors. Those are very touchy and easy to break the outer from the inner portion of the plastic.
Thanks Jeff! I have not been measuring resistance but also don't think it is necessary . I am yet to come across any copper oxide, so I have no reason to doubt the harness. I am going to look into lock actuators that operate from a fob instead of a key, this way I never have to touch the lock button.
I did not make a video of it, but all I did was rinse them out with fresh water. I did this when the interior was completely stripped to prevent any water damage to the sound absorption mats.
Will the car be categorised as an insurance write off and will this impact on the value ? It would be a shame if that was the case given the work that you have put in.
Officially nothing will be registered against it as this car was registered in Germany and will now be registered in the Netherlands. However, I will never conceal it’s history and have planned to add a USB drive with all the episodes with the maintenance manual. As to the value, who knows 😅

True @@craigrobertson7938, but my hope is that with this TH-cam series any potential buyer should be able to see just how good this car is. But to be honest, unless someone offers me really good money for it, I don't think I will sell it soon.

You should spray some cavity wax inside the door, along the bottom, while it's all stripped out.

I promise never to mention this again but I still think red wheels, manual winders, cs door cards and some bucket seats would look great 🤐
Hahaha, so do I, but I am too big to sit comfortably in Recaro pole positions and those are the only buckets that looks the part 😅
