Thank you for your efforts Tom, in reviewing this radio. As with anything, with a lot of features and settings, it just takes a bit of time to sort it all out.. You'll get it!
Hi Tom, I also have to thank you that thanks to tests like yours, I will not buy the RF-757, despite how attractive and well equipped it is, in general terms. But if they decide to improve it a little (and it is very easy if the manufacturer knows how to translate the reviews), I will ask the Three Wise Men, .. (here in Oviedo, northern Spain), or Father Christmas, or Santa Klaus ... who are actually the same! 😊. I hope you manage to get your antennas, lashed by the Florida storms, back in working order ... 👌📻🙋
9985 is WCCR and 9955 is WRMI , However I think it’s worse than my ZHIWHIS A320 on shortwave. A pity as I’d like a direct entry model of the ZhiWhis . 73! Have a great day!
Another great video, Tom. Unfortunately, I've bought 3 of these radios & all had bad displays. However, I want, so bad to get a working one, because I'm very happy with the reception, sound & features. BTW: There's absolutely nothing in that hole below the lock button... Just empty space on the PCB board. I don't know if they planned to put a microphone there, or maybe a reset button... But there's nothing there.
Tom's radio room show I learn lot from you about shortwave receivers and antenna for shortwave receivers and what to lisn to on shortwave and ssb iam thinking about getting my Grms license my friend
Hi Tom, I'm wondering with all those other Tecsun, XHDATA and Qodosen portable radios that you have collected so far, you could have at least compared the Raddy RF757 with one or two of them, instead of the $400 S-2200x. 🙂
@@hamrad88 I know, but you admitted in the video around 07:12 that comparing the 757 to a $400 radio was "not a good comparison". 🙂 You could also have used your XHDATA D-808 or Tecsun PL-330 to find the same signal instead of the S-2200x. Just saying, sir.
hello tom! i checked for satcom again on the usual frequencies using a scanner of mine and none except one which was really faint seemed to be coming in. not sure what's going on there. maybe the RADDY still could receive them, who knows. did you test the 850 MHz band too? if so then how did it go? I'm still pretty much going to buy it. seems like a fun little radio! i could report back what i can catch when i get it. many thanks to you for still giving it a test though! :D - lamby

Thanks Tom for your clear comparison ... A good radio is definitively "a good radio".. 😂❤

I was not comparing it to the 2200 but using that to find signal to see if the 757 could hear them as I mentioned in the video.

@@StratmanII good suggestion. I will try that.

I even tried my SDR radio with an outside antenna and only found one data signal. Yes, I used my SDR to do a spectrum display and saw nothing.
Is the external antenna available ? Mine came from China as a Hanrandong without the wire ????
There is probaby someone who sells it. Note that it has a stereo plug unlike others that use mono.
