  • Hello everyone.
And welcome all to those who subscribed or visiting to my channel for my latest video.
So my big trip has returned after few months, and on Wednesday, I hit the Great Western Mainline again and went to Taunton Railway Station.
Before I ventured out I thought I was going to have epic day out, seeing lots of HST and many more trains, and I couldn't be more wrong. Not long since after leaving Portsmouth I received bad news, I had notification on my phone from Trainline saying there disruption to my connection train to Taunton. Looked on National Rail News and it was revealed that there was signal failures in Plymouth area. The result of it was disastrous, it really messed up the traffic, meant most train services are severely delayed by up over 1 hour, 90 minutes, and worst 3 or 4 hours. or cancelled. Some Cross Country Trains done to finish their journey at Bristol Temple Meads unable to continue on to travel up North. Some services were terminated and started from Newton Abbot.
My experience Taunton was good but could off been better, can't say it was easy coping with all delayes and cancellations. But I did got some good catches. Station itself is lovely, really liked the facilities within. I quite like the waiting room that is situated at front entrance of the station and next to barriers and ticket office, which looked really nice. There is a Starbucks on London Platform.
Views vantage points are very good, even the line towards Exeter, Plymouth & Cornwall.
This station provides bus services to Butlins Minehead. Trains you mostly see in this video is GWR 800 Hitachi's and Cross Country Voyagers, and some GWR HST 43 Castle Set, and some Cross Country HST 43 including 43184 in Intercity Iivery which is a bouns for me.
Overall despite all the problems I quite enjoyed myself, but I went back to Taunton as I felt I didn't got what I came over. So I headed back again for second time last week on 14th June, which I will upload at some point in future.
If you like what have you seen at this station, please give it a like and subscribe if you so wish. And please feel free to leave a comment in section below.
Next video is Evening Trains at Swanwick.
Until the next video I'll see you all next time.
    TTFN :)

Well thank you. Glad to hear someone is massive fan of me. I mean I’m not that brilliant as there are plenty of great other train You Tubers who are equally as good. But thank you for the compliment. Well it depends really, most times I stay for 4 hours maybe 5. Depending on time and day really.

@@SpottersUK I just like filming a lot, and making long videos. It keeps me busy and entertained I guess.

@@joes-trainproductions5987 that’s fair enough, i personally would rather go to say 3/4 different stations rather than spend say 5 hours at one. However, i do rate the commitment and enjoy your content! Keep it up :)

So you asked the staff to do some trainspotting and they said yes?

@@Enviro200MMC If you do go there, but of a warning. When you go up on the Platform 2 side, do look out for a Passenger not go pass this point sign metal posts. As I accidentally walked past it and didn’t even noticed it was on there. And then nice Station Assistant kindly said not to go pass the sign as it’s trespass, and pointed to the sign. She was understanding as it was so easily down as many people have done as the sign is on the Platform post side, and not very noticeable. So something for you to remember before heading out, last thing you want is a telling off.

I saw that before and I didn’t trespass.
      How comes its there?

@@Enviro200MMC No idea, did said they need to put a gate up there. And station assistant agreed with me. As it’s bad place to put Do Not Pass This Point sign on the side post, of course people aren’t going to notice it if it’s there.
