  • Fuji's C200 35mm is one of their remaining consumer films for film photographers to pick up for cheap! It's definitely an acquired taste though for the results it gives so let's see how it compares to some of the other consumer stuff out there!

    Fuji C200 is actually my favorite because it has a cooler tone than Kodak Colorplus 200. It's almost always sunny at my place so the warmer Kodak made everything seemed too hot.

    C200 brilliant film with fantastic colours for landscape.. actually super sharp and detailed. With slightly poorer light I would choose Ultramax over 400H. For better light C200 is great and brilliant value...

    As most of what I shoot is grean anyways, I love C200. Pretty much a staple for me documenting my hikes!
    Dynamic range is good enough to handle open landscapes with bright skies and I just like the look for that sort of images.
    Plus it is the cheapest single roll color negative film I can get at pretty much any drug store here in Germany (3 packs of Kodak Gold are a bit cheaper tho).

    I have a slightly different track record with c200, as I rely on selenium meter that overexposes for about half stop. Yes, it blows the sky, but everything else looks so vibrant and punchy, with a refreshingly cold palette.

    Granted a lot has to do with scanning but pulling this to 100 makes this way better than colorplus or arguably better than Superia 400 or ultra max. Pulling this film makes this almost as good as Pro Image 100.

  • @totallypixelated

    Your muddy colour casts looked to be more to do with underexposing it to me. The shots in the snow looked more like how it should be looking in daylight.

    • @AnalogResurgence
      @AnalogResurgence  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That seems right, the snow and daylight looks great. I had wanted to see how it behaves in a point and shoot because I’ve encountered a lot of people with automatic cameras shooting it because it’s so cheap! Maybe something I’ll give a second chance in an SLR for better shots!

    • @thisishelliknow
      @thisishelliknow 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe next time you could tape over the DX code. From what I’ve heard a point and shoot will default to 100 iso when there’s no code.

    Many of this photos are underexposed. If the exposure is incorrect, the colours are not right either. If there is a lot of sky in the photo, it must be overexposed with such simple and old cameras.

    • @totallypixelated
