    Nit picking here- when you say Corey “replaced the singer of Slipknot” you are technically correct but essentially EVErything you’ve heard from Slipknot has always been Corey. Anders was only in the band when they were a 7 piece band and they recorded their self funded/produced Mate Feed Kill Repeat album which only saw very limited release as it was not with any major record label. Everything commercially released is post Anders with Corey and the final 9 man lineup that lasted until Paul sadly passed and then Joey and the band parted ways. You have to actively go looking for cuts that feature Anders unless you’re lucky like me and bought a copy of MFKR on eBay lol

    • @Ta2dlam

    You should do Zyzzyx Road! I think it's the most vocally impressive song from him. It's that one or Eyeless by Slipknot. They're very different songs. lmao.

    • @enterthyname_2376
      @enterthyname_2376 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I am very much a wide ranged metal boy. But the heavier stuff really does not seem like her thing. She's a SINGING coach. I strongly agree that Zyzzyx road from Stone Sour would be one of the best to react to. But I don't think there should be any SLIPKNOT, aside from Snuff... Because that song is absolutely gorgeous.

    • @MooseyFate100
      @MooseyFate100 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@enterthyname_2376 Metal singing is technique-wise pretty tricky to nail and she seems to know about fry screams and what they require and what makes a good and bad one. I'd say don't limit her channel!

    • @enterthyname_2376
      @enterthyname_2376 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes... For things with heavier SECTIONS, like Pisces. But Eyeless is a full blown assault. A wonderful one. But not one suited to this style of vocal coach reaction and analysis. I'm not trying to attack. I just think that some of the metal heads that recommend these extreme songs to these types of channels, need to calm down. There's many other places for those videos.

    • @Patrick-857
      @Patrick-857 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      He's a highly unusual vocalist. Most heavy screamers are using fry screams or false chord growls. He's actually using his voice in those Slipknot songs. He's actually shouting, same as James Hetfield before he wrecked his voice and had to learn to sing differently. The difference being Cory Taylor managed to keep doing it consistently without wrecking his voice. It's absolutely insane that he can do that for a whole show.

    Beth PLEASE PLEASE do some Chester Bennington. Given Up live at AOL Sessions is an insane performance by him. Chester could hit beautiful high notes, singing soft and melodic, or hit these big powerful notes. Or scream. But no matter which one he did it was always on pitch, always carried emotion. Man was insanely talented.
