I used to call my dad Mcgyver, cause when I was a kid there was no thing my dad couldn't do. He used to fix everything, and invent anything to make everything works... And we loved to watch this series together. Bring great memories. I had a hero at my house and all the kids should have the oportunity to have one. It's one of the milestones of childhood (thinking about the ones that grow up with crapy dads or with no dad at all).
I think it is no exaggeration to say that this TV series has positively influenced the lives of tens (if not hundreds) of millions of boys (and girls) all over the world.

And my teacher let us give her requests of songs to play in class while we were working, and almost everyday this song played. And I would not know how much of a bop it is if it weren’t for that kid. I’ll always remember it. It was an interesting school year but I loved it.
Watching Macgyver helped me alot when I was a kid. I had horrible situation at home being abused almost daily. Even hearing this song today makes me feel like super hero
I was 8years old when the series startes to be on air. I watched almost all the episode with my late father and we both enjoyed it much..and I still remember that I use to say that I wanted to be like a mcgyver and once dad told me that nothing is impossible if you are passionate about it, let mcgyver be mcgyver and I want you to be yourself (something like that) 33years has passed and I have no dad next to me anymore, but I was watching it today with my 12yo son for a first time - its a miracle when I ask my son if he wanted to be like McGyver, and he told me, I will be what I am wanted to be and not because of anyone but my own desire to satisfy myself. I feels like my dad in my son soul for a second. Thank you papa and I miss you so damn much.

I Loved the show, and espically the guy playing MACGYVER! I watched that show until it ended, mostly because at the time, I was hooked on it! I loved it! I wish it was still on, I could n't get enough!
I was once in a hurry to get to music festival and found out the wifey locked the rental car keys in the rental car. I whipped out a clothes hanger and jammed it into the drivers side window, got all the way in and flipped the door lock and saved the day all while singing this theme song out loud. i felt like a true hero, thanks macgyver.
This show is forever marked in my heart. I litterally grew up watching this. And even cried when the final episode was over. Such a great show. I really miss it. It's thanks to him that my interest in a Vitorinox and science was sparket at a young age... Thanks you R.D. Anderson!

American TV series like airwolf, macgyver, knightrider were imported and broadcasted in my country back in 90's.. Back then, private tv station doesn't have much of original program, so they imported it.. I grew up with those greatest tv series.. As right now i am rewatch all macgyver series (the old one of course).. As a kid, I always stop at some shop to see some swiss knife and wanting to buy it.. What a nostalgic feeling..
Seeing how he took advantage of physics, chemistry and engineering to overcome any challenge inspired me to become a materials scientist myself. Now too I have to use all that stuff to solve complex problems =)
RIchard Dean Anderson as MacGyver was the quintessential mid to late 1980s man. He had the fashion for men of that period down pat with the longer tail hair at the back. The 1980s haircut blond hair with some highlights and the single earing on one ear while wearing a casio watch. It was a great show inventive and had great story lines and Richard Dean Anderson was a charismatic actor.
