About Major League: She's beautiful, smart, goal-oriented, and she just inherited the Cleveland Indians. Unfortunately, she wants to move the franchise to Miami, and a losing season is her only ticket to Florida. So she signs the wildest gang of screwballs that ever spit tobacco. They're handsome, but they're hopeless! Her catcher (Tom Berenger) is a washed-up womanizer who struck out in life. Her ace pitcher (Charlie Sheen) is a punked-out crazy who struck out with the law. And her third baseman (Corbin Bernsen) is more concerned fielding endorsements than grounders. Throw in a bus load of other misfits and you've got yourself a hilarious line-up thats destined for disaster! Also starring, Wesley Snipes and Rene Russo.

My favorite line.. “Nice catch Hayes, don’t ever fuckin do it again” 😂😂😂
😂 “excuse me I have to take my first steps towards the hall of fame”
“My ass”
“In case you hadn’t noticed, and judging by the attendance you haven’t…”
@@carltontaylor6500 😆 “the windup and the pitch” *ball destroyed* “awww shit. If that’s not Shaquille O’Neil in center this babys outta here”
My favorite line(other than Juuuuuust a bit outside): "You tryin' to say Jesus Christ can't hit a curve ball?" I always laugh out loud at that one. 🤣🤣🤣
@@carltontaylor6500the Indians have managed to win a few here and there and are threatening to climb out of the cellar!!!" I love that too. "Judging by the attendance, you haven't." 🤣🤣🤣
They don't make comedies like this anymore lol loved this movie
Yep I love this one. .
this, and the fact that this is the most believeable baseball movie
if they tried to make movies like the old day the movie would of flop hard, all movies today are woke garbage design to bring the entertainment industry to its knee's n bankrupt them
They also don't make the Cleveland Indians no more. What a damn shame.
🎶 WILDDDD THING
Best baseball movie ever. Never, ever gets old. And it will ALWAYS be funny.
Back when 96 was uncommon.
Now 96 comes with 18 inches of run
@@lukecrowell6800what does this mean
@@JackieSchofueld directional movement of the pitch in relation to where it is aimed at to start.
96 is not that common! At the end he also reaches more than 100!
Nowadays their are some with tripple digits, but not common!
The fastest of all time is 105
@@kaukase539 in MLB? Guys see 96 every game
Fun fact...Sheen attended Santa Monica High School in Santa Monica, California, along with Robert Downey Jr., where he was a star pitcher and shortstop for the baseball team.
He was throwing 84 at the beginning of filming. They did so many takes that by the end he was on anti inflammatories, and drinking to manage the shoulder pain. He had to under AC surgery on his shoulder after filming and apparently still cannot throw a ball pain free.
Skills 😂 Ears perk up when he speaks 😎🔥💕
The coach best part is when he takes a piss on Roger's contract
"Juuuust a bit outside"
Bob uecker. Funny man.
"Just a bit outside!"
Tried the corner and missed.
Bob was a legend
Everytime he blows his nose it looks like a party favor 😂
How are they laying off of pitches that close?
Major League with some major league actors 😂
Forget about the curveball Ricky, give him the heater.
The old number one.
The terminator
Grew up watching this, still the best sports movie of all time
This movie in 2024: "96? Better send him down to the minors to work on building up his arm. Maybe he need Tommy John surgery"
My favorite sports movie! Hilarious! 😂⚾️
Its' up there. But, SLAPSHOT RULES FOR ME.
Necessary Roughness!
@@rodneyrodriguez611 That’s another good one! 👍🏼🏈
This and "The Replacements"
Fun fact: Charlie Sheen was the starting pitcher in his high school baseball team
Sadly he went onto another type of pitcher 😂
Sheen said he used roids for 2 months, too
@@jackmiller-johnston8689Along with cocaine and hookers but that was just a normal Saturday night for him.
Charlie's much more of a "punter".
Of all the non based on true story movies Charlie Sheen had the best wind up and delivery of any picture in any movie
Long ago when the "Indians " had their spring training here in Tucson out at HI Corbett
This is when they made fun movies ….. this is one of my favorites. Now ???? Forget it !!
Need more GOOD MOVIES.....LIKE THIS
And grabs his cup🤣🤣🤣
Had this on VHS...wore it out 🎬❤
Today 96 would be the minimum.
But that because the thrower is medically enhanced 😂😂😂
"Give em the heater Ricky"
I haven’t seen this movie in years, one of the best comedies!
My teacher made us watch this film the last day of school in the 7 grade lol 😂
James Gammon channelling the Duke.
“96 mph? Get him out of here! What is this, 1989!?”
Dynamite drop in Monty, that broadcasting school paid off.
Watched this recently 😂
Timeless classic
I swear to God I didn't know it was his wife 😂
Dude, in his prime this guy was the shit. He 100% went off the rails
Ahhh those days in Cleveland were fun. Thank goodness I moved. It's garbage now.
Joel Zumaya, Verlander, and Chapman watching the guy read out the pitch speed and laughing.
Well back in the 90’s that’s top notch
😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@MarshallBlosser yea, because Randy Johnson didn’t exist then
I remember randy Johnson at short season A ball. He pitched just like this , 90 mph and didn't know where it would go.
Nolan Ryan?
Right after he blew up the NO PEPPER sign.....WHOOOOOOO!
We wear caps and sleeves at this level… great description of pro level sports.
‘You got a name or you going to settle for veg-head?’
Love that movie.
For those that think 96 isn't impressive. Back when this movie was made, radar tracked the velocity 10 feet from home plate. Today is at the release point. 96 is more like 99/100. So if he were theoretically tracked by measurements today, that's what it would say. And no, pitchers are not throwing any faster than they did from the 1960s to today. Nolan Ryan is still the fastest on record.
Lou brown character made this movie great
The guitar solo really tied this scene together
This is a great comedy.
Sheen had a great wind up
96 was about 3 pitchers back in 1989. It shows how different the game is now.
The movie is Major League which also stars a young Wesley Snipes
Lou Brown was definitely the boss. He always had faith in Rick.
RIP James Gammon.
Ball four. Ball eight. Ball twelve and Vaughn has walked the bases loaded. Boy, hiw can these guys lay off pitches that close?
Manager Lou Brown 😄
Ohhhhh I don't know.
What do you mean, you don't know? This is your chance to manage in the majors!
Let me think over, will ya Charlie? I got a guy on the other line about some white walls. I'll get back to ya.
I just realized Sheen and Berenger were both in Platoon.
"You might run like Mays but you hit like shit."
Straight out of the California penal league
I live in Puerto Rico and I remember that while studying at the University of PR an English professor, born in the U.S., wanted to correct a friend of mine, who was majoring in Physics because he used the word Velocity. She thought he was adapting the Spanish term Velocidad to English and insisted that he should use Speed instead, as if Velocity didn't exist.
JUUUUUST A BIT OUTSIDE !!!!
Great movie! Never drink jobos rum😂
Forget the curveball Ricky.. Give him the heater!!
Im a Phillies fan. Every time Johan Rojas hit a pop up, i wish Rob Thomson would tell him to do 20 push ups 🤣
Brilliant film
This isn't the California penal league Vaughn!
One of the best sports movies of all time, IMHO.
I can quote this entire movie.
Ball 4. Ball 8
'bout time- it's 9-nothin...
Wildthing was the shit!!!!
“It’s very bad to steal Yobu’s rum…is very bad”.
Love the restaurant scene, makes him put on a tie...... I feel like a fkn banker 😂
Best baseball movie ever!
Insane
Avoid the Noid! Sign in the outfield 😂
80’s comedies were the best. Low budget. Dumb script. Funny as hell.
I'm in the middle of a tire deal😂😂😂😂😂😂
96..pretty crazy how much pitch speed has changed
It helps when they change were they do the speed reading from as well
"I hope you mean hardhat cause y'all gonna need some"
“California penal”
This guy and Brickma are the some of my favorite characters in baseball movies
At almost 40 when he gets stuck in between the doors and the cage I crack up.
That line sounded like John Wayne, LOL.
WILD
THING
!
Major League, one of my favorites :)
Loved this movie
One of my favorite movies 🎥
Absolutely great movie!!! Been out for years but still enjoy it once maybe twice a year
This was one of the best😅😅
Best sports movie of all time.
WILD THANG
Classic Movie
96 they would be like yeah whatever nis 😂
Major League predicted Mike Hargrove almost to a T. Good old Mike just didn't come thru in the fall dance.
In all seriousness this movie is the reason why I am an Indians fan to this day... I will never get use to the Guardians name never..
AS SOMEONE WHO PITCHED WHEN YOUNGER, THE FASTBALL WAS ALL I HAD WITH THE ODD SIDEARM CURVE BUT PLACEMENT IS EVERYTHING AND JIMMY KEY FOR THE BLUE JAYS PROVED THAT SINCE HIS FASTBALL WAS SLOW COMPARED TO OTHERS
Tiger blood
Lou brown best baseball manager
Only a handful of people could throw 96 mph in 1989…now everyone and their sister can
Great manager.
Loved when they called him. "We want you manage the Indians? I don't know I got a guy on the other line about some white walls."
Wild thing!
Have to love Charlie
we need an update version of this movie, with some MLB players
I don’t think you can remake a movie like this lol
They can't the pitcher would need Tommy John surgery and the movie would be over
The Oakland Athletics are trying to act out this movie, does that count?
It would be woke
It would be crap- just like 99% of what's come out of Hollywood in the last decade...
Well it turns out in life he's a cacher 2😂😂😂😂
“Who gives a shit?, it’s gone!”
Whaddya mean, too high?
@@mikemickypeterdavythe braves cheer squad were the funniest!
Love this movie,
Great movie
I hate baseball, but damn I love this movie! Every day I’d watch it while in summer vacation.
No leg days, huh...grandpa ?😂
He so accurate it’s funny
My favorite movie
Vaughn had a cannon for an arm but the eyes of a blind bat. As they found out later, he really couldn't see, just needed prescription glasses to correct his aim.
GREATEST MOVIE
