I was talking with a friend of mine at 3 am and decided to somehow make felicida work at minerva. instead of trying to go for multiple attack, it would force persona ride, and attack for an additional drive twice. Diorruing would be used to recycle the persona, and enucleate would be used to deal with the counterblast cost. The consistency was not even that bad, and we would joke about how we have just created a masterpiece. until we realized we just recreated greedon.
Thanks for the guide! I hadn't even considered Cadwalla or Cairbre in Minerva, and once you mentioned them I had a total "Oh" moment. I think I'll probably go with Cadwalla, partly for budget and because I like the idea that Cadwalla provides a lot of utility for Minerva, whether it's fishing out another attacker/booster from Soul or deck thinning/searching out Persona Rides/combo pieces. Can't wait to test her out! 😄
I have a few Alternatives 1. Cadwalla -> probably the best one for chain attacks and replaces itself plus providing an open slot for Chamomile to show up however it eats up the soul a bit fast 2. Fionnuala -> good for turn 1 attacks as it bypasses triggers but loses useability if enemy lanes are full 3. Languedechat -> decent 15K booster once you have a Minerva or Angelica in the soul or can be a solid 30k hitter on persona turn 4. Maple -> eyy it's free so yey 5. Rubinia -> I like the alternatives to put Chamomile / Melissa to soul incase I draw them by accident or something 6. Nanaful -> the "Biara" of KS but with a condition, but its okay and its a free soul charge and replaces the card we use
Thanks for the video Derick, helps me learn the deck since I’m expecting to see it at locals and Springfest. Also I was wondering if you think that cb choking Minerva works in most situations. I know that Angelica can cc but it still limits the amount of attacks they can do in a turn right?
how would you prioritize cb if opp tries to cb deny you leaving you only lets say 1 cb? if you use cairbre on turn 2 and call another rear and opp swings rear to cb deny you, would you just not call out rears to guarantee opp gives you more cb in next turn?
Depends if you go first or second. Going first you don't care because you cannot use Minerva's restanding effect. Going second, it is rarely the case if your opponent denies you at 1 damage unless you decided to use up 3 open CB previously. They have to win somehow and during the mid-game, it is unlucky they will deny at 1 especially if they get to go first. This is more related to late game where your opponent is trying to get through a turn to have another turn to kill you. That is when it matters but by then, you would have gone through your deck to find Angelica.
Is there anything I can use instead of Drilling Angel? I'm having problems locating some locally, so I'm looking at options while I'm looking for him...
Hi, I really like your deck build video as a new comer in vanguard it help me a lot. Is it possible for you to add a link for the build in the vanguard website deck building tool for those kind of video? It will help us a lot. Keep the good job!
I feel the Cray Elemental OT isn't as impactful as the Keter one as you are compressing your deck and want to be triggering more. Not to say it isn't bad, you can test it out. I prefer hitting the Keter OT if I want to build up hand especially if I have RGs that can come out after the Vanguard swing (i.e. Chamomile)
Is it a good way to get into the game? are newer decks like this one cheaper in general? I find that anything below set 5 is pricey unless you're Eva (nft sadge). Vanguard lurker here hehe
This is a pretty good deck because 80% of the new cards are from the newest set. The only expensive card is cairbre and maybe drilling angel(?). The rest of the deck should be plentiful in stock on TCGplayer right now and Minerva herself seems pretty decent in terms of price right now.
I think Luticia is quicker to get to what it needs to do but Minerva is more stable for a long game. Both decks are good but Luticia can be fragile earlier on.
You max out at 6 total attacks. Minerva has a 1/turn effect on her restand (like every restand in standard), so you can swing with sides once, then minerva, restand minerva and put out 2 chamo, for the 6. The only Vanguard that gets around the 6 limit is Tamayura, who isn't a re-stand, but it involves the DE OT, and she isn't limited to how many times she can send out rarami and ririmi
@@Ravenleaf182 yea but the initial 2 attacks can be made using pr soulblast or angelica soulblast no? Then put the chamo in soul using new bt 11 sp and soulblast it again using minerva skill sb.

thanks for this video. was a vey helpful tutorial. i'll be having my teammate pick up this deck as our third for teams
Perfect timing for this video :)
Solid video! Great job even breaking down the options we currently have! 💪

That's correct. 1 CB equates to one extra attack in this deck.
Thanks for the fast reply

What if I don't have Drilling Angel+? What could work!?
How about cray elemental ot instead of keter ?

same reason why fronts are kinda bad in a deck where you generate new attackers after triggers have been applied
Where did you get that beautiful Eula playmat?
Amiami :)
how do i play my early game? do i want to keep genesis cards in hand or should i discard triggers?

This is probably one of the cheaper decks in Standard. Aside from Calibre, there are alternatives you can run that are explained in the video.
How does this deck compare to Luticia?
I think Luticia is quicker to get to what it needs to do but Minerva is more stable for a long game. Both decks are good but Luticia can be fragile earlier on.
I gotta ask. If you have 4 chamo in soul and 5 cb, can you make 8 attacks total?

@@jaynnwillver5675 okay, sounds like you know more than me, so disregard what I said then. I have no idea whats in BT 11
a fellow Eula connersieur i see
I like cadwalla better just because of its cost I’d rather not have to cb in case I can’t get into my Angelica
early 🎉😊
Great video, but the way you pronounce Cairbre bugs me, seems pretty wrong
