It's almost 10pm in my country and I was about to be done with all those 'other' tutorials then I found yours....this was short, simple and clicked well with my brain. Thank you for sharing 👏🏾 can hardly wait to see what comes next
Thank you for this tutorial! I find lots of bags I love as a bigger guy but the straps are not always long enough to fit so this has made it super easy to make my own but in the style of the bag I have to work with! Thank you 🎊
Good tutorial, thank you for getting to the point from start to finish. What determines when you'd need an adjustable slider vs one that does not have the center piece that moves? Thanks if you or anyone else knows!
Thank youuuu for this tutorial! I have a pattern that calls for rectangular rings, but they don’t seem to be included in the hardware assortment I bought. Thanks to you and this method, I can proceed with what I have and complete my project!! 🎉
It depends on the type of strap and bag. You'll want to measure the length you want to be able to stretch and shorten too. For example, if you want to make a hip bag that also fits around as a cross body bag, you'd measure the waist as the smaller length and cross body length as the longer length.
Hello, i really apreciate the video. It helped alot I just had a question. I made one but it keeps loosening and im wondering if thats because i used a buckle that is wider than the strap?
Hello and thank you for the demonstration. I have the following query: I will sew some aprons and will use stainless steel D-rings. As these are fabrics, they will definitely need to be washed in the washing machine. I have been told not to use a stainless steel D-ring in the washing machine because it will rust. I'm a bit confused. I would like to have your opinion as well. Thank you for your time and help.
Hi - I've never had issues with the d-rings rusting in the wash and we wash them - lots of aprons have them too! So I think you should be okay. You could put the apron into a delicates bag if you're worried about the d ring scratching your washer (we haven't had that issue either though!).
It depends on the bag and how adjustable you want it to be (and how tall you are!). For a bag that goes across the body, I try to make the strap around 55 inches or so (full length). You can take a measuring tape and decide the right length for you :).
I’ve watched several different videos on attaching sliders and yours made it so simple I saved it for the next time I forget how to lol Thank you
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching :).

How do you determine the length of the strap in order to make it adjustable?
It depends on the type of strap and bag. You'll want to measure the length you want to be able to stretch and shorten too. For example, if you want to make a hip bag that also fits around as a cross body bag, you'd measure the waist as the smaller length and cross body length as the longer length.
@@NoTraceShop Thank you. This is very helpful.

Yes, if the buckle is larger, it'll keep moving around. good luck!
