Thanks for these instructions on how to make an adjustable apron strap, Hailey. It was exactly what I was trying to figure out, but wasn't having any success. I'm very glad I found your video.

Thank you so much for this tutorial. It is exactly what I was looking for. I needed to add adjustable buckles to an apron I made for my granddaughter. I have the exact buckles you are using. I knew I needed to do this for her apron to fit better, but as a new, self taught sewer (via many you-tube videos) I wasn't sure how to get the job done. Thanks again!

Hi Kathleen! You are exactly like myself!! I tried finding a video for this for so long on TH-cam and was disappointed every time! Once I figured it out I was thinking, there has to be at least one other person that was in the same boat as me so I have to share!!! I’m glad you found it helpful!! :) 💜

Thank you! I am sewing my own apron from scratch and I have all of the hardware but could not wrap my head around how to thread the strap through it all so this is immensely helpful!

Your instructions are VERY clear. This is exactly what I was looking for except I am making the apron. I can easily see how I will make it adjustable. Thank you!

Thank you!!!! Making my little grandson and myself matching aprons for Christmas. Adjustable straps are especially important for kiddos! Your tutorial is really clear; thanks again 🙏🎄

Thank you for figuring this out for the rest of us! I knew what I wanted as I was making an apron for my husband who loves to cook, I just didn't quite know how to get there, lol. Thanks!

I add grommets to my aprons , then I have several straps that have attachments to it like the ones for detachable straps ! I find it easier to to it this way rather than having all the metal attachments, especially when you’ve got so many aprons for all seasons!

Can you make a video on a existing apron to a cross back apron? I don't see alot of cross back aprons and I have a lot of regular aprons that sit on top of your neck. Those hurt my back and neck to much.

The two adjustments on your sewing machine (part where you talk about the zig zag) are the width of the zig zag stitch and the other is the length. The 'f' setting is the default seeing, which is usually 2.5 mm.

Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial! I too was searching for how to do this. I own aprons that needed to be adjusted this way. I am going to be making aprons for Christmas gifts and this will be ideal because they will be customized to the individual that way. Again thank you so much! ❤

Really like this video, excited to try on an apron I've had for over 3 years but never used because it hangs so low in the front it just doesn't look right. Thank you so much for taking the time to create and share

Thank you, this is the only video I found, I'm trying to figure out how to get my apron to fit without destroying it, because my job only has one size fits most but I'm really short. The bib comes under my chest because the neck strap is way to long and the waist straps are below my knees.

Exactly what I was looking for. I work in a kitchen and our aprons are ridiculously long and sit super low as to be almost ineffective. So I might try to get motivated to get my sewing machine out of the guest room 😅

Hello and thank you for this tutorial.
I have the following query: I will sew some aprons and will use stainless steel D-rings. As these aprons will be made of fabrics, they will definitely need to be washed in the washing machine.
I have been told not to use a stainless steel D-ring in the washing machine because it will rust. I'm a bit confused.
I would like to have your opinion as well.
Thank you for your time and help.

Thank you for your tutorial. I have 2 aprons cut out n ready to sew. I just ordered the hardware. I couldn’t find a decent apron to use for when I’m working with epoxy. I don’t want to spend $30-50 for something that’s going to get ruined. I found some material I wasn’t going to use, made a pattern then thought what should I do with the neck ties lol. Thanks so much

This is awesome! I got an apron for my new job, and it’s back straps are humongous - they wrap around my body like 4 times. i’m going to try and use this tutorial to shorten it up significantly and keep the back strap out of the way!

Hi does anyone know what determines if you need the hardware with that center piece that can slide up and down or the hardware with center piece that is stationary? Both are sold and I don't know why that center piece ever needs to move, thank you.
